Looks like one of those newspapers that "make up" stories. A lot of those articles are pretty weird.

Go to the link in my post and use the search mode. Be specific. If you searched for "gold creek" for example, you would get every article that had the word "gold" and the word "creek" !!!

If you notice in those article, they don't use ounces for the gold weights, they use pounds!!!

You have to get the boots that meet the terrain and the amount of use you are going to give them. The use and terrain I give boots, those $50 dollar Wal Mart boots wouldn't last two weeks. In fact, I probably would twist my weak ankle in those boots (or those "tennis like" shoes) in the first week. Not saying that they don't work for the people that use them.... Just choose the ones that fit your use.

I have a lode claim that I might open. This picture of the paying vein is taken where the 25' tunnel(I know, wrong term) ended. The top of the tunnel is still down about 4'. All has collapsed. 66 ozs were taken out of the 25' by the previous owner. It was a "pick and shovel" operation and it got too hard to pick for a 90 year old guy! Didn't stop because of the lack of gold. I crushed 45 lbs of the vein and it came out 1.8 ozs to the ton. Just posting this for discussion....... not looking for a partner...grin
