Looks like one of those newspapers that "make up" stories. A lot of those articles are pretty weird.

What Kind Of GPS Unit And Boots Do You Use?
LipCa replied to Azavsfan's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
You have to get the boots that meet the terrain and the amount of use you are going to give them. The use and terrain I give boots, those $50 dollar Wal Mart boots wouldn't last two weeks. In fact, I probably would twist my weak ankle in those boots (or those "tennis like" shoes) in the first week. Not saying that they don't work for the people that use them.... Just choose the ones that fit your use. -

Small Scale Hardrock (Lode) Mining
LipCa replied to Quick's topic in Rocks, Minerals, Gems & Geology
I have a lode claim that I might open. This picture of the paying vein is taken where the 25' tunnel(I know, wrong term) ended. The top of the tunnel is still down about 4'. All has collapsed. 66 ozs were taken out of the 25' by the previous owner. It was a "pick and shovel" operation and it got too hard to pick for a 90 year old guy! Didn't stop because of the lack of gold. I crushed 45 lbs of the vein and it came out 1.8 ozs to the ton. Just posting this for discussion....... not looking for a partner...grin -
Same here...Too bad.

New Mining Claim Patent Issued

Not that it relates to this post, but I have found many original 1882 corners on the Salmon river area in Siskiyou county... Yet, the BLM cancelled the original survey as "fraudulent". Mike, you may have worked on a survey for a patent in Greenhorn creek near Yreka. It was issued well after the moratorium. -

So.... now they have to deal with state mining regulations/laws. (assuming that they are going to mine). -
Keene Pump Specs?
LipCa replied to sjmpainter's topic in Gold Panning, Sluicing, Dredging, Drywashing, Etc
You say Keene triple sluice..... Are you meaning the "old" triple or the "new" triple. The "old" triple, with 3 boxes functions great. Just heavy. -
