cutting out the pine trees to make room for the aspen. no survey.

the quakies are the deciduous trees....
but, to answer your question, probably not...

I didn't like/keep it because was not as good as the Gold Bug 2. Although it may have served a purpose for relics and large gold, I wasn't looking for that type of machine.

Check the previous posts. There are tons of comments.

I believe there was a battery conversion that Whites did later to get rid of the big battery...
-
I remember my parents dropping some pretty big batteries in some of those machines.....

Siskiyou county says they have no funding or people to bust cartel. We had a cartel grow last year not far from where we live. It was reported to the sheriffs office....no bust. Neighbor said they were back again this year.

I have the Infinium DD and shaft(same one Steve H. put together) that I've used only once. I am considering selling it but need to look up cost. Less than I paid for it but I don't want to take a beating.

I would think Garrett would be the ones that know.........

GB 2 is a 6", not 5"

Same for me. I've gone thru a dozen covers. On the Gold Bug 2, I put Marine Goop around the seam to keep dust and dirt out. Even used it on the bottom of the covers when they get worn while waiting for a replacement.

Good idea, El Dorado.....

The ground balance is dictated by the ground....
I ground balance my GB2 maybe once or twice a day. Sometimes only at startup then it's good for the rest of the day.
I occasionally run into a spot that is so hot ground balance is almost useless.

Bearkat's right in there... $5 a grain vs $4.76 a grain on what you paid.
I think that are all going to be about the same. Gold is about $2.50 a grain now. So, a fair profit (or loss) after cost subtracting recovery cost....

Steve, your attire is something else :-)
When I was there, the locals told me that the sharks come in close to shore to feed at night???!!!
They advised NOT to get in the water.

The post office was across the street from the Emporium, wasn't it? And, yes he/they? moved to one of those states.
His name was mentioned on a forum several weeks ago...... Memory goes with age :-)
Farrington?

I don't believe those are actually glaciers, just snow packs. Many of the high mtn lakes had them when it used to snow :-)
Yep, nice pics. I think I've to all the spots those were taken.
Adam, I'd like to see more pics when it's not so dark....

I believe the "add on" meter for the original Minlab Sovereign was basically a total strength meter. It sure acted like one anyway.....
-
I've used one before and not nearly as sensitive as the GB2. Probably has to do with the auto ground balance. It will find the pickers and above.
I got rid of it quick as it did not serve my purpose.

Looks like I'm going to have to start patrolling my claims on the river
Of course, no one would go on someone else's claim.......
Darn Minelabs....

Adam,
Somewhere, as you climb the grade from Carson City to Virginia City, on the Carson City side, Is an old race track that was used when both cities were in their heyday prior to 1900. I was there once in the late 80's but I had a broken coil.
As I remember, while we were going up, it was down the hill to the left. I don't know the status of the ownership today. Would be a good place for a CC coin though.
Maybe a Goggle search would find something.
Might have been Lousetown??? Long time ago.
