I buried Sterling ring, Indian Head Cent, Buff nickle , Merc, Silver Washington and Large cent at 5 inches. Mild mineralization. Stock programs. Noise cancelled and ground balanced between each program. Indian Head 1872 : P1=19 P2=15 F1=18 F2=20 B1=19 B2=20 as seen here the biggest difference was between Park 1 and Park 2. I can post the entire list if we think it helps.

i have thought about moving the control box froward too. we don't have much room tho. then i wondered if we can get an aftermarket carbon fiber shaft that we could move the control box forward to get a better balance. I hoped we could get the balance without adding weight but i'm not sure that's possible. If anyone knows of after market shafts let us/me know.

i'd like more info on the shaft if you would be so kind. what kind? where ? cost? i think i want to do that too so that maybe i can get a better balance so it's not so nose heavy.

will you post the updated cheat sheet or us too? i know i'll need it as i am blessed with great forgetfullness.

i wonder if beach 2 mode would do the same?

well, i started this thread ( much to Steve's chagrin lol) and my dealer called me yesterday to say i'm next. !!!! i paid and am waiting for shipping confirmation. MAYBE i'll have it by the end of the week. i better start reading the manual again. though with all the others having theirs and giving us reports i feel like i'm ready to rock and or roll.

if we set up any program like the one seen here, how do we save it? i know if we put it in user profile it gets erased when powering down.

sparky is when the detector is very sensitive and can chirp very easily. some folks like it that way but it is so sensitive that you hear lots of chatter. others like a quieter machine and turn the sensitivity down a little. l hope this helps.

has anyone heard about when the 2nd wave of shipments is coming? Seems like all the folks that were going to get one on round 1 have all gotten their detectors. When can we expect round 2 to happen?

it looks easy. i saw some pictures the other day and all that had to be done is take four screws out of the handle and it comes apart. Should be able to be put on any shaft very easily. If you do it, let us know.

George. you were great on the podcast. Interesting stories and you know your detectors that's for sure. Seems as if you had a few good ones. If you have kept records it would be VERY interesting to know of all of your finds. Thanks for all the tips too.

" so if I get this right are P2 and F2 multi biased toward higher frequency thus being more sensitive to mid conductors and P1 and F1 biased toward lower frequency thus being more sensitive to high conductor targets?

i want to find a Nox in my hand...lol... STILL not one for me :-( other than that a gold coin would be nice.

thanks Tn and Steve. it looks like the handle COULD be moved. a new positioning pin hole could be drilled. some have that it is nose heavy so i thought if we could move the handle more forward it could help with that.

does anyone know if the handle can be loosened up and slid to make adjustments for ergonomics? or is it fastened securely where it is? thanks.

good advice Mark. after getting used to that then start burying a coin and a trash item in the hole together to see how the Nox handles mixed targets. will it average the TID's? will it hone in one or the other? that's when we will see how this baby performs because we all know that a lot of our detecting is in mixed company.

i forgot about tone breaks as I'm used to "full tones" but even if in full tones or tone breaks why would tone and TID lower at depth? Granted tone would likely change eventually. Look at video again, note reported ID, how it meshes with tone reported.

i wonder if Cabelas will do the 15% veterans discount?
