  1. Sony makes an action camera that is very good and one model (i think the AS 50) goes for 200.00. i use it for all my detecting videos. very good resolution and has image stabilization built in. great quality for the price. if this is what Ramos is talking about.

  2. i see where it says i can add a picture for a cover photo. is that used for the avatar photo? does the avatar photo have to be a certain size in order to used as an avatar? thanks

  3. Too bad Minelab didn't do a better job of this roll out as it must have been and still is a PITA for you in many ways. You must have the patience of a saint. Thanks for all the info that were able to provide to us and I look forward to all that you do share after it's released.

  4. i've had to see a shrink and take Valium 3 times a day. Every time I now try to touch my Deus I get an electrical shock. I guess it hates me now. I went out and watched my buddy do some detecting to try and stop the shakes. I've discovered how much I like the Blues music. My girlfriend said she'll come back when the Nox gets here.

  5. Hey XP, why is the TX power locked at 2 for the HF coils? I am sure that you have a reason for doing so but how about clueing us in on the reason. also, why is it locked at 2 and not let us be able to change it? You could "recommend" setting it at 2 but allow us to change it as needed. The other day i was in heavy iron with the 9" round HF coil and it was just too hot at 2 TX and if I were using a LF coil in this situation i would have dropped the TX to 1 to lower the coil power as I believe that TX 2 was "reflecting" back so strongly that I couldn't get better separation even at reactivity of 3. How about changing that with the next update?

  6. Maybe waterproof some of the time. Maybe warm some of the time. Sensitive enough to find small targets without having to take gloves off. And rugged. Maybe one pair for warm and another for waterproof. And then I will be going to the UK in late April so what would be good for over there? Any ideas of what has worked ( and not worked) would be much appreciated. thanks. I saw one YouTube vid where a guy was wearing Sealskinz but the reviews on Amazon weren't all the best and they are expensive.

  7.  that info is good enough for me Steve. i'll use the supplied 800 headphones and hopefully that will be all that i need. now where the heck is my NOX?

"The Equinox 800 comes with both aptX headphones and the WM08 module. The headphones are lightweight, decent sound quality, fit completely over my ears (but may not if you have large ears), and the lag is not enough to bother me even in the densest trash. It's there on a faster swing but more or less disappears when I focus on the target. For me the extra speed of the WM08 has not been worth needing to get yet another device involved in the process, so aptX is fine with me, and offers a countless array of third party options. I will test all my various Bluetooth phones (like Air Pods) very soon and report."

Quality for some of us with hearing problems is a luxury.  I will use the headphones supplied with the detector and then look for some of the Apt X's with an amplifier or separate volume control.  The next thing I will be looking to do will be to use JP's booster that I own with the WM8 on my cap just as I use it with the 7000.  I find I don't need the booster with the 3030.

thanks Michael. i do wear hearing aids so there might be a quest for good sounding headphones.

  9. well, there are many to choose from i see. now how will they reproduce sound that produces good tonal quality for the Nox. there was a lot of discussion on sound quality on all the possible headphones available for the Deus so i imagine the same might happen here.  ah, just one more thing to learn about with a new detector.
