  1. Went out to a local freshwater beach on the Colorado River , was full of folk this weekend....

Got there at day break...was already 8 folks hunting , I took my place on the beach.
I found 5 pennies , 2 dimes and 2 sinkers plus 3 metal tent pegs . Still learning but I am getting able to tell bottle caps from coins and pull tabs . If it beeps I still dig it but I try to ID what I am about to dig.  Hardest thing to find was 2 split-shot sinkers as they was the same color as some of the gravel.

I am learning , finding stuff , but learning.

Does anyone have problems with sand getting in between the coil and cover....how to fix it ????

  2. Just got back, was surprised as the river was running high.....one place I have been before almost had no beach at all.

The other beach I went to there was 3 folks fishing and 4 others detecting......they was leaving as I got there , was told that they had been there for about 2 or 3 hours before I got there.

      Well , I found a sinker , a nickle , 6 pennies.....we won't count the bottle caps or pull tabs.

But I am learning......going to take some doing compared to my MXT or MX Sport.

Looking forward to my next hunt.

  3. I will be going out into the real world detecting in the morning, going to a freshwater beach....not and old beach but busy on the weekends. I have seen other detectors out there but nothing too fancy.

We will see how the Nox does...I know lots of bottle caps.

  4.

after dealing with personal issues I got out with the MXS....Took it to a wel hammered spot full of trash , I have found coins there before but thought I got them all.
Well the mxs did not let me down , found 2 zinks in a place that I know I have been over before with other machines (even an MXT) I am well pleased, there is a small learning curve but practice will cure that.
