Easy repair and fix i think it’s is 3M black 5700 black abs 1/8 to 1/4 2*6 strips take and trace each ear that you always save take two short 2 inch angle iron five inch scrap heat abs strips Keep heat moving do not go over 360 degree F put between angle iron making ABS into L brackets use big welder gloves or large leather barbecue mitts use Dremel and safety glasses to Shape and measure ...if done correctly and take your time and stay sober you can make a repair that is better and stronger than anything that ever left a factory.....literally the boat can turn to dust but 5700 will last until the Sun explodes or in hot fury fire.... true you can buy another but you will never have one stronger ... maybe this may save some ones vacation or once in a life time trip into remote location....5700if you never want to take apart....lower number 5300? Not easy but can be removed ..... ps always glue original back on add brackets to out side get longer plastic bolt coat outside of original ear and bottom and side toward ear ....if you use plastic gloves and wet like caulking it can look factory it is up to the craftsman HappyTrails jimpugh

I have never met Mr. Noga.....I have known of Steve Before I visited with Jerry Tyndall of Natiulas Electronics to learn how to build Detector coils and other secrets of the Art for an intense work shop Jerry gave me the key to front Door and he was impressed with my soldering techniques of multiple pre amp circuit boards for his coils ....he gave me his first Transistorized metal detector with a wooden coil that he based the first patent on......as many rare coil forms the few people know of... I have a huge pipe bending machine manual and use to bend his handles for the 2B and we talked on phone many hours about all things Electronics he was very Great man and had the cutest pet Albino Squirrel “ Mo “......He had a bunch of old Rebel works proto units from Steve very nice work from what I Saw......when It comes to building coils a learned from the Master with out a doubt his art and Craftsmanship beyond any I have ever opened or seen .....and I have reversed a lot of kit in my day. Now with Jerry gone I send my 2 B to Wayne Lee for repairs and new coils he does Awesome Work and has a great warranty....Yes I do have signed schematics from Jerry Tyndall....other than a few pet projects and tube radios and Amps.....I try to stay focused on what I do best ......Find Gold in Water.... Ps got my Official AQ Impulse Manual in-mail couple Days ago very good read... Good Job First Texas.....now where is my 8 inch I ordered before every one else and please lite on the micro beads I like my coils slightly negative...... Happy Trails jimpugh

Being a Fisher Repair center for the South East Back In Los Banos era I met and talked with some very incredible people from Jim L. President of Fisher Research Labs To a few legendary Relic hunters of that time in the south east that needed help Repairs inspiration or a pointer in the right direction...... To this day I still have my Repair manuals and updates some the best electronics ever conceived Mike asked me not to sell or give out the technology .....I have always kept my word. I would have 3D printer or a jig and router and a one inch extension of the battery lid on the 1280x or Cz casing.epoxy or use to battery gaskets......throw in 5 gallon paint pressure tank filled with water and compress tank 90 psi no leaks good to go..... get rid of the connector issue In and out of salt Batteries not included....due to shipping etc each customer would order batteries and charger from battery store online.....this set up 4S2P would give 7 amp hours copper 3m tape and foam 4 series times 2 parallel . built tuff for Navy Seal in You face plate route on lexan paint Black Spartan 300 in Red paint do you have what it takes..... add 15 and 20 micro second to or just change the last values deep salt water values Happy Trails jimpugh aKa old south east Fisher repair before da Cuda Go Long Horns Built like tank good to 100 meters

Submerged Salt, Nearing 30 Hours
jimpugh replied to jimpugh's topic in First Texas - Bounty Hunter, Fisher & Teknetics
What part ....Of “it does not like salt water immersion “ do you not understand ... I put the time in ....What I have bought ..... No Fast water .....Surf.....frog foot Johnny needs to stay behind the curl and land on his feet and dig fast ..machine Makes loud noise going in water and coming out best to stand on coil edge and use lanyard.... have you ran at O gain ...I have ....Have you run at....25 % ,50%,100%..... can I make it work ....yes ....calm .....water .....helps but . Issues at hand in extreme salt water immersion with no fast water I could get it to work well as long as the connector was above water or stayed below water ....but forget in and out Continually.... severe head ache.....Repeat only in Extreme Calm in Extreme Salt .... .it does ok in small under tow but it starts moving to fast you will know it...by increase in noise.. I am not paid, receive no compensation Nor do I pick one detector over another they all have their place .....My Findings....are that mine ....am I finished No....I am Retired and do not need the money....every day is Saturday and My life focus is living Well....Nearing forty hours in water submerged waist to neck 4 gold rings ...l love my hobby.... water golf......hope all yours are a hole in one Happy Trails jimpugh -
Submerged Salt, Nearing 30 Hours

Sorry wifeys birthday weekend detectors stayed home and I took her to Gillagan’s Island for some bird watching ......lot of birds and a lot of Beaches Cruising around the Islands locally.....Cold not help but think what an Awesome Day perfect weather water was like a Mill pond around the islands south and later on the other side laid down as well .....I was thinking this would be perfect hunting time for the AQ......sensitive detectors can get loud with walls of salt rolling in.....where as A calm gentle little roll and heave will help you maintain that buzz in your ear while listening for ghost signals these little signals are the key to Davey Jones vault .......Noise is the enemy anything that breaks the spell or focus ...concentration like coil floating up or being in deep throughs with waves and foam whipping over you......stand on the Burme with poloroid glasses looking for the holes close to shore . They move and uncover opportunity ... yes the AQ can be bitchy in ruff surf but like Joe said “ Best to pick your Day” Happy Trails jimpugh Aint No expert only Thirty Hours on this steam Shovel.... but all my 40 years are going to get another rehunt. Be safe take your time where I am digging few can get there and very few can see thin gold and ground signal separately -

Mine comes up at a good pace it floats and dumps my detector on it’s tail feathers ie power cable and a depth of five feet when it is on my arm it never goes past three feet ......over or at .....thirty hours it has see a little intrusion and I give the connectors a alcohol bath after hunting.... with my boot flask.....then sparkling Perrier water Vive la France! Was at a somewhat calm Brackish Site 0700 In water trying to get to the Mojo Hole.....Running on presets all blue Stayed in Tone 7 hours minus a 30 minute battery change...... that I will be glad not to do when I get my 7 amp hour 4S2P Battery finished Korean Cells Balanced last night..... hoping To get a hard 10 hours for my Spartan 300 work out..... if it does not Kill you.... It makes you Stronger.....felt good in water today ....worked out site .....I Am one of the original hunters alive that still hunts this site .....no one else hunts it anymore .....everyone whines and say I never find gold here ....I just kick my Shovel a little harder and faster another aKa ShovelhHead not because of my Harley’s . It’s because I can dig...... Enough iron here to build a Confederate Railroad....I dig it ...I know what it can Hide....I haul it and any glass broken or not ... Battery 2 timings mostly 8 would run at lowest timing 7us little chatty but would make things pop...I could run smooth wide open sensitivity just to let the potentiometer get some range ... Hunt was going great till thunder storm neat thing was the lighting did not make AQ go crazy like most units ......but finally had to pack it in .....four Rings Two Gold ...first little ring then little silver 4 feet away.then brass bracelet I guess then old brass ring and last wedding band with his and her Initials 2-8-27........ things I do ......I stand on coil to keep it from floating away from the space shuttle while I dig. First ring titanium china found in salt neck deep.... Happy Trails jimpugh -

Finally Struck Gold!

Nice Gold Cuda Do not give up ....it is a Proto ....it has issues that need to be Ironed Out Any Gold is Good Gold Not every one can find gold Rings with Robbin Size Emeralds for first Blood. like ole Gold Bloodhound Clive......LoL....wink.... Trying to keep tight lipped on findings ....testing....in field... I like to let it Rattle around in my head awhile... But my number one pet peeve is a coil that floats ....o I can fix it and I will ...couple of marbles and some hot glue....or put some space shuttle tiles on it ....lol... I know exactly where your at use all the units you speak of and then some... And if I can speak freely here with out being crucified ..I hav3 some theories of what may be amiss .....I am not going to do a data dump yet....but the battery and interference the connectors I am watching like a hawk,,,,,what did Mr. Joe say hmmmm Its a Power Hog.....well bad ass detectors especially Pi use resources like black holes not only are all these batteries have different internal resistance....wreck havoc in any high power circuits..... water detectors must have second safeties just like the diver always a back up not one o ring , not one seal .....How many of y’all put silicone lube on the Big Red O ring..... not gob it on just enough make it sheen like well waxed car ....speaking of wax did you wax the coil and rods ...be mindful of that around sensitive area’s.....bottom coil...have not seen coil cover yet but give time personally I do not like em ...I just buy new coil or repair with epoxy if I wear it out heck yea I want to wear it out ....and get de gold.... as for the in and out water Noise from capacitance....yes I had mine in salty neck deep environment......simple ...if I want a small coil I will order one with a small coil fixed these coils should be fixed if you are A water hunter It is One Less place that will not leak..... a hayco connector is a lot cheaper to build and the savings would be well placed in fortifying second safety back ups .....beach hunter model ...Water hunter model ... Deep diver Model for Pirate divers and Navy seals.... like I said I will not throw my theories all out here or do data dump but you can bet I will be on it this is one unit that shows great promise .... kinda like a First Date with a Hot Woman .......oh since I mentioned that word I would like To. Thank First Texas Again for being Leaders in the Industry .....Great people Think alike........ Again Cuda Awesome Gold jimpugh aKa MagnumPi -

GoodDay I used a hearing aid since I was 9 years of age due to a doctor over prescribing Terramycin back in early sixties......nerve loss....I am 66 years young and what I do hear I hear well.....I was taught at an early age to read lips.....so I Have been detecting in the Water since 1980.....I usually have a hearing aid on it is usually water proof aid . if I am diving or dredging I do not use an aid .....maybe a bone conductor ...or custom made piezo under the Dive hood ......but I do like no contraption interrupting my dredging......interferes with smelling the gold.... if you would like to see what this poor old deaf treasure hunter finds Happy Trails jimpugh aKa MagnumPi
