  1. Thanks RH. I love your vids! I really appreciate you showing the 2d screen and explaining whats probably going on there. I'm more visual, so Im getting a Manticore.
  2. Thanks for the review, and the excellent vids. On your deep and iffy signals, would you have been able to hit those coins with the D2?
  3. I waited 3 mo on a dealer list. When I heard another shipment was coming to the states, I texted my dealer a week ago, I still have no reply. I noticed they arrived at Cabelas last fri am, I waited all day friday for a dealer response. Crickets. I ordered fri nite, It has been shipped from a Cabelas store 200 mi away. Cabelas was sold out Mon am. If the small dealers get their detectors from a distributor, that might be the problem . I would think the distributor will fill the orders from their fav dealers first, Just my humble guess.
  4. I just received my simplex arrow coil from Bulgaria. It took about 16 days. Coil weighs in at 28.6 oz. Now I have to wait another 4-6 weeks for spring . 😞 The last sweeper coil I had was on a Tesoro about 10 years ago. Looking forward to sweeping up the fresher drops.
  5. I ordered one from Cabelas Fri nite. Should be here Wed
  6. If the head engineer at Fisher doesn't have a clue whats going on there, Who would? That company has become a laughing stock, sadly.
  7. Im amazed in so many videos of detectorists carrying a large shovel and digging big plugs. I do believe the large plugs are better for not killing the grass, but it freaks alot of karens out. I personally use a hand trowel . More work for me , but better PR. Back in the 1970's most detectorists detected early mornings or later in the evening when not many karens are around. Things have changed.
  8. I texted my dealer if he had any info on expecting the next manticore shipment. No response. So I went online tonite and ordered one from Cabelas!. I do not take being ignored lightly! If dealer would have at least acknowledged my text , I would have waited and done business with him. Manti should be here in a week.
  9. I just caught a 1.5 minute you tube vid from the brass medic stating another batch of cores headed to the dealers now.
  10. Thanks for sharing. I am currently considering the deus machine.
  11. Maybe the current users are not beta testers, but they are advertising !
  12. I thought Andy Sabisch retired years ago! I guess its very hard for a detectorist to retire. I retired from my business last year, but still detecting!
  13. I only machine I regret selling was my first Minelab Sovereign xs. With the White coil. Once I got it figured out I went to the lake Michigan shoreline. It was deep. I would drop the disc to just over iron, turn up the sensitivity , and I think auto. Turned up the threshhold so I could barely hear it. I detected a strip of damp sand 5-10 ft from the waters edge, and listen for a blip just above threshhold. It turned out if the blip audio was delayed a bit it was iron. If the blip was not delayed , it was a deep non ferrous. I was digging quarters and dimes at a measured 18 inches. Insane!. On any other part of the beach, coins probably 10" deep. My cousin saw what I was digging, ordered one, and his depth was no where near what I was getting. It was a hot machine or coil. The next year, I bought the next sovereign model, XS2 I believe , and it was not nearly as hot as the one I sadly sold. I even bought a 12" sunray coil for the XS detector, but the depth with the 12 did not even come close to that 8 white coil.
  14. If the ORX comes out with a 2 like its big brother, I'd like to pick one up. Been intrigued by deus for a while.
  15. I bought a Q20 just before the nox came out. Nice little detector, great starter unit !
  16. That last paragraph says it all! Tom might appreciate that on his forum.
  17. You usually get what you pay for. Coils, detectors, furniture............etc
  18. nice! whats the name of your channel?
  19. Calabash did not get a manticore from minelab, but rather borrowed it from his friend Dan for 10 days.
  20. Nice trip! I bought a diamond for my new bride 3 months ago, if its genuine diamonds, should retail over $5,000
  21. You never know what lies in your path. Buried my wife after a 27 yr marriage last year, my kids moved out, I retired, I moved to another state, got remarried 2 months ago, and looking at the new Manticore to help get some exercise and fresh air. Enjoy each day . Glad to be back here.
  22. Nasa Tom knows that manticore inside and out it seems. Nice to hear the info from Tom who is part of the Minelab team, and is a detector expert!. Anyone know if Steve H has used the manticore? I've been out of the hobby for the last 2 years, Im way behind on whats been happening.
