JP, I am pretty sure that was my Nug I dropped last week. If you be so kind as to mail it back to me here in the US.

Don't we have enough marshmallow people in the world. We are miners, our hobby is what others call work. Suck it up butter cup. Straight talk leads to positive long term development. No one was attacking. Mitch not finding gold in played out areas sheds positive light on the complete picture of the x-coil. IT'S JUST ANOTHER COIL!!!

Look at tech colleges. There are lots in so cal. Find a professor that does that kind of work.

I have to admit when I saw that I thought "hmmm, put a larger arm cuff on there and that would be great for mask and snorkel work when I am on my belly needing a super short detector." I have been eyeballing the Nokta/Makro Pulsedive for just that purpose, but this may not cost any more and have discrimination. But mainly I like how it is designed for kids instead of just being a cut down adult detector or worse yet just a toy.
I thought, pin pointer for my Zed!!!!

New pic! Looks like it is a 12" Fingers crossed for the hope of other sizes, like 10 or 8! With that pressure valve I am now wondering if they might not be waterproof.
Possible waterproof, but they also put the breathers to equalize the coils.

At a Q&A session with Minelab CEO Peter Charlesworth and Engineer Mark Lawrie at the Minelab Partner Conference 2 years ago, I asked if there would be an update for the GPZ 7000 that would include discrimination. Their response was that discrimination is not possible with the ZVT tech.😩
You crushed my dream, nooooooooooo.

If you are talking about the last picture in your post, no I would not clean that one., The first picture I would use some Whink if you want to brighten the gold up a little bit or leave as is. The second picture is not focus enough to determine if cleaning any of the specimens would be a good idea.
I will try it on the first pic nug. Would you mind posting a pic of the bottle you use. I searched whink and it pulls slot of products up.

This is an Idaho piece found as is, no cleaning.
You forgot something Gerry lol.

I really just want to clean the big one. Recommendations?

How are cleaning these? I also have some crystal gold but it is ugly right now.

I can't tell you much on the XP. I can say I have had the monster, I still have my Equinox and love it. I find everything with it. Gold so small that it frankly is a waste of detecting time. I love parks as I can cherry pick what coins I am willing to dig. Also there are several aftermarket products that make the Nox so nice to use. Like Steve said, ether will work fine. The Nox is Minelabs grand slam.

100% correct FM... the prototype new version Z machine was mentioned to several dealers at the last Minelab dealers conference earlier this year. Expect to see it written on the next investors statement in 2020. If the hype is only 50% correct, we will see a mad rush similar to the SD2000 days.
We have several dealers on this site. Not one has mentioned hearing what you posted. Do you have a link to a written statement showing the above remarks?

All right you two, don't bash the new comer to the market. All detectors have growing pains 🤣🤣🤣.

Wet ground winter for me with the Zed makes me want a full on PI. Makro hurry up lol.

I would say the video would be a great video to show how not to retrieve a nug. A small nug say .10gram wont be found that way. Get a second scope. No dirt is dumped till both scopes are scanned. The scope with no beeps gets dumped in a single pile away from the hole. Some times you get two targets, one in each scope. Scan twice dump once lol.

We are not nay saying him. It is valuable help that if he follows he will keep adding to his growing stack of nuggets.

Man you need a pinPointer, You can dig much more with less time trying to find it.
Pin pointers are not that great for gold Nugs. Yes they can be used. They just dont react to small nugs very well. Now Australia type big hogs yep they find those.

I got a Survey. But I would be afraid of GPS cords people would give me.
I like Lacky's answer.

Lunk where you running your new settings the whole time. I tried them out last outing and the new settings are great sounding. Nice low hum. Didn't find anything but that happens.

Thank you for the information Doc. Let's talk about the fat elephant in the room lol. I made the remark about original designer based off a manufacturer in Australia telling me he came up with the design. That combined with never seeing one for sale in the USA gave me no reason to doubt his statements. He provided me with many design specs as we where chatting about specs and mods I thought would work here in the good ole USA. So apologies if that is wrong or upsetting.
Steve lots of respect for your ability to review items, tell it like you see it and not ruffle feathers.
Doc I would enjoy working with you on view points concerning the NS22. I plan to start with the tip. Got a couple other prospector tool ideas I will be adding to the pick as well. Feel free to send me a PM if you want.

Thanks for the commits Rob. I just wanted to give a fair review. I am not bagging on the pick. It will replace my current apex.
