  1. A photo of the bottom and the chain can help with the id/date. Rich
  2. That is what is called a "jump" trap, very common but out of production as far as I know. They were made by several manufacturers in sizes #1-#3, I used them back in the '70's. That one looks beyond use, heavily rusted. Rich
  3. The body of the detector made from carbon fiber would be lighter than the plastic one. The biggest problem is cost, carbon fiber is more labor intensive. It would be interesting to know what weight differences there would be between plastic and carbon fiber for coil housings Rich
  4. Old profile D2 on both of my scales (certified) is 1# 3.8 ounces. Rich
