    You're welcome.

I don't own a 900, but if you're getting a lot of true iron falsing with that low of an iron bias, I don't see what else you can do either than raise the iron bias, or dig it up to see what's going on.

When I'm hunting in iron with my Legend, I use 0 iron bias. When I encounter what I think is true iron falsing, I do the short wiggle over the target and watch Ferrocheck. If Ferrocheck shows little to no strength on the nonferrous side, and a lot of strength on the ferrous side, then I don't don't dig it.

That plus the sound is how I determine to dig or not except on a deeper target that has passed the ferro check capabilities. At that point it's the sound only that I rely on.

I hunt with a very low recovery speed and the factory default IF setting. I know those air tests make it look bad but I've had very good results(bullets, buttons and coins) in heavy iron. I may be leaving targets but I'm certainly finding them as well and I'm not dumping out a pouch littered with nails/iron at the end of my hunt. I'm too old for that!  😁👍

  2. So far I'm really liking the accupoint. The main reason I got it was to pair with my headphones. The added features of an easier to navigate menu and the iron tone feature along with the visual screen are just a bonus. The depth is just fine and it does everything I need it to.
When I had a Deus I used the mi6 because it paired with the headphones. I used the trx if the pin pointer didn't pair with the headphones. I preferred it over all the others I've owned.
The accupoint has become the only one I use and I'm happy happy. Cause, I'm the only one I worry about. 🤔😁👍 Good luck with what makes you happy and HH!!

I have recently acquired an Accupoint to pair with my Legend headphones, ( which it does ), but I’m finding that after finishing a hunting session and then firing up the Legend and headphones again after a break, that the Accupoint needs to go through the pairing process all over, ie, it doesn’t seem to stay paired to the ‘phones in tandem with the detector. It’s a bit frustrating and time consuming.

Also I’m not getting the crisp audio that the pointer has with it’s speaker through the headphones. The headphone’s audio from the Accupoint is what I would call “echoing or scratchy”.

    Any thoughts....

Bootscrape,  I found there's a sequence or order to use. After the initial pairing.

    1. Turn on the accupoint and head phones and pair them first.

    2. Turn off the accupoint and turn on the Legend and it will pair with the headphones as it always has.

This has worked for me. I was having the same issue when I first went out to hunt. I paired my headphones and Legend likeI normally would then turned on the accupoint. It didn't seem to want to pair. I changed the pairing order and shut off the accupoint after it paired. I'm not always the best at reading the instructions and maybe it already says something about that...? But it works every time. Good luck and HH!! Tom

  4. I took the accupoint out yesterday for the first time. I was very happy with the way it performed. I really appreciate the reviews from the ones that got to try them out. It was there positive feedback that helped me decide to preorder mine.
I also want to thank Nokta for giving us a pin pointer that pairs with our headphones plus extra features that make it a very cool pin pointer. The TRX I've used for years but I'm happy to say it's getting replaced by my Accupoint!!😁👍

  5. Got it today and going out tomorrow but I can tell you right now I love it. Definitely worth the wait.
I haven't tried out the discriminate feature yet but just the ability to come thru the headphones was the main thing I wanted. Nokta you have made a very cool pin pointer. Thanks!!!

  6. Glacialgold, I completely understand. I'm relying on the reports of the people who got to try them out and the concerns they had that have already been addressed. Just being a pin pointer it should be a simpler process. I kinda feel like it might be ready to go. Fingers crossed😁! I'll be sure to report back in when I've used it a bit.

  7. John, if you're thinking lighter machine  you could throw the original Deus in the mix.
The Legend is a good machine. I got one right after they came out and have found plenty of good stuff with it. I did very little tweaking and now just turn it on and go. I think at some point the LG24 will show up on mine. When it becomes necessary.😁
I've never used the X-rerra pro just watched a few utube videos so no help there. Sorry.
Good luck with what ever you decide! Tom

  8. Bill,  Mines done it from day one and has never changed with any of the updates. I often leave it over night and just unplug it in the morning. My battery is fine and still holds a good charge. I just decided a long time ago to not worry about it and so far it hasn't seemed to hurt anything. I bought it in the first batch available from a local dealer so it's had plenty of charges. Good luck! Tom

yep me also only difference is I already have the LG24 coil which is a great coil by the way, when I receive the upgrades I will run one of my Legends with the LG24 and the other with the LG30 and use the LG15 for when I am detecting in tighter areas the LG28 will most likely set in the closet collecting dust, as i find the LG28 just seems to throw the balance of the legend off for me

DSMITH,  Got a used Legend (2.5yrs warranty left) in the mail today. Hopefully not too long before I'm running the same set up you have for basically the same reasons. HH, Tom

  10. I live too far inland to do any beach hunting but I will say I agree with you whole heartedly about Nokta and the way they have upgraded the Legend. I really like using the Legend inland and here in SW Mo. it does very well finding treasures in the different scenarios that we deal with. I'm looking forward to getting the new middle shaft. I've already got the lg30 coil and going to add the lg24 when it becomes more readily available here. Also looking forward to the new pin pointer.
Nokta is putting out some quality products at very affordable prices. Thank You Nokta!!😁👍👍

  11. Daniel, congrats on an awesome start with the Legend.
I'm no expert but I have certainly found a lot of good finds with my Legend. I still run in park, m1, recovery on 3, IF at 8 (the factory default). I may run the recovery up some to 5 (factor default) or down to 1 if the ground is good. But for the most part the factory defaults work really well.
I've tried using some of the recommended settings on the iron filter and stability settings but all it did for me was cause me to dig more iron (a lot more). I have a friend that came up with the same concussion. He hunts heavy iron in civil war camp sites and finds amazing stuff on the factory default iron filter setting of 8. He likes m2 and uses the pitch tone but IF setting of 8. You may try some of the suggested settings and get along great with them. I was just saying the factory default settings are very capable settings. Good luck and have fun playing with the Legend. Tom
