First Hunt In The South, Meteorites? + 2 More
dirtman replied to 1515Art's topic in Metal Detecting For Meteorites
I have detected many that share the "looks" and magnetic qualities (some weak some strong) of the ones you posted, while at the basin over the last 14 years Sir. I would back up the opinion of "sorry" don't think so by the photos alone. I also say this on the basis of having detected and handled many pounds of the actual space turds. Perserverance and Hapy Huntn Frank C. -
GB, can you tell if its plastic or fiberglass composition ?

I'm in N.W. Arizona. You will LOVE the 7x14, I have had mine for many years found LOTS of nuggets and meteorites with it. If yours is "white" its an "SL" NF (Super Lite) I owned 1 of those also and it is great. I sold my SL to my best bud here and its been bringing him plenty of targets too. You can run them wide open with power and get great depth while remaining quiet also. Hapy Huntn , Frank C.

😎 Got out detecting yesterday for the 1st time in many moons ! Had fantastic weather all day and dug some deep ones. Caught a 149 grammer at the end of the day. Totaled out over 200 grams 5 pieces. Used the 7 x 14 N.F. Advantage on the 4500 with Black Widows. My buddy nailed 4 and 2 nuggets to boot ! Hapy Huntn.

If Mr. Bronson was still around, he's the kind of guy I would be inclined to let handle the situation, for sure. Hate them thieves.

You mentioned NW Az, I have a feeling this is around Dolan Springs an Gold Basin/Meadview area. I look at the local Craigslist frequently, I will keep an eye out and send you a link on your messages here if I see something that may appear an akward sale advertised. Its a very disheartening situation when someone invades your personal property. Good luck with rectifying the situation.

Detector pro has been making detectors for some time, The company changed hands awhile back and location went from Mass. to N.J. Excellent headphones ! Especially the Black Widows. I have had repairs done by both the original owner and the takeover, well pleased with service both times.

Older Tesoro Lobo Not St ...help
dirtman replied to jeff_jones_86004's topic in Compass, D-Tex, Tesoro, Etc.
I'm not positive, however I was under the impression (especially with P.I.'s) you shouldn't turn on ANY detector without the coil connected. ????? Could be a problem there. -
Beautiful coin find ! And out detecting, it seems your doing well after surgery, I'm glad to see that.

Tinnitus And Detecting! Any Suggestions?
dirtman replied to SDMiner's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
66 years old now , have been suffering from it since 18-20 yrs. old. So bad at times I avoid any social contact. Detector Pro's "Blackwidows" headphones "only way to go" You can dial them in to fit yer ears left an right an still pick out faint deep ones. I went without them for a few years and my detecting suffered from it. I just got back into a pair recently (Thanks Ridgerunner) and am LOVIN the crisp sounds. I have used practically every pair of phones out there, even various earbuds, it seems nothing compares for my tinnitus. With Blackwidows, the only time I have Tinnitus now is when I TAKE them OFF ! IN CASE some are not aware,...Blackwidow headphones were designed and built for the hearing impaired. They are not just another headphone. https://detectorpro.com/black-widow-headphones/ -
Thanks for your comments on the 24K. Keep em coming, Hapy Huntn.

All that GMT gold was with the factory stock elliptical not a smaller round. Supertuning the GMT is and was it was all about. Once you learned that nuggets rolled in, many larger ones also.

Gold Monster 1000 Vs Whites Gmt24k
dirtman replied to Sourdough Moe's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
I suspected I was correct in my answer. One thing I would like to pass on to the general public viewing here, I am a 13 year resident of Arizona, I have had a couple of business dealings with Jim M. over the years and would like to convey my experiences/opinions "Jim is a man of his word". And in todays world, that's a Top Notch Reference ! Hapy Huntn All. Frank C. aka "Dirtman" aka "Ol Yeller" -

Got out for a couple hours yesterday morning. An old haunt that gives 1 up here an there. Some fresh erosion from the last couple rains gave up a 2/10ths grammer with the ML 4500 and 13x17 Evo at a few inches of depth. Check the O out in Evo ! Still swinging lookin fer that "retirement" nugget. Hapy Huntn.
