I will be at the Quartzite Gold Show selling books. I didn't want to say anything until now because I wanted to make sure I had the funds to get there when the time came. Getting this ounce of gold sold came just in time. Looking forward to meeting any of y'all there that is able to make it. I guess I will be giving a talk there as well. Feb 10-12.

So the 23 gram specimen I got a few days ago is finally desolved in multiple baths of muriatic acid and what was inside is absolutely beautiful. It was so fragile and delicate that it broke into five pieces. Some parts of it look like microscopic bonsai trees resting on ice crystals. Totally cool to look at in person. There are hollow structures all through the nugget pieces. Trying to get the video edited, but I had to get a new SD card for my Canon to film the close up results of the nuggets. With that being said, the video will be a two parter or wait for SD card to arrive next week.

I got three small nuggets today for the first outing swinging the 12x7 coil. They were all shallow. Loud signal. Very rich and smooth in sound. I knew they were going to be gold. Four targets. First Three were gold, fourth was a tiny bit of iron. All were very shallow. I will get pictures tomorrow night. Two are still sitting in CLR. I like it so far.

Hey phrunt the next few days of hunting with the 12x7 I will show performance on the videos. If it can hit on these nuggets at the depth the caliche is at, of a foot to 14" then I will be very impressed. Im talking 3/4 gram to 1 gram at 14" .

Aureous and Nenod, great reports of the 12x7. Mine will be here in the morning and I will be taking it to my area I found the crystalline nugget. I got 10 from there so far with the 11". This area had been pounded with a couple 7000's. I got one today. Maybe . 3 or . 4 g. The 12x7 should be very interesting in my area.

There was a thin bit of gold connecting two large crystalline blobs. It broke in half when it was wrapped up in paper towel and sitting in a large bottle. I am going to go ahead and desolve the rest of the iron away.

I have the gold finished dissolving and I am thinking it may be a specimen. Maybe a nugget. Im kinda unsure if I should take it further to get this irony clay off of it. I only lost a microscopic amout of gold. It sure is coarse. Crystalline in fact. I'm not sure it is one solid piece or maybe so crystalline and fragile that it comes apart in two or more pieces. What do y'all think? Take it further or leave it alone the way it is?

Tom, I had the same thing happen to me several years ago. It exploded and I caught shrapnel of rock on my upper cheek bone, very near my eye. I think it was because there was Pritchard mud stone encasing the nugget. It might react differently than quartz. I've had small shards fly off specimens, but not like the Pritchard rock with the nugget inside. Infact that very nugget is in my nugget raffle to be given away when my book is purchased. Taking place at this very time.

Today was an amazing day. I only hunted for about 2.5-3 hrs. I got one nail, second target I never retrieved, but I think it was a chunk of a square nail. Third target was my nugget. It came out of the ground encased in caliche and weighed 23 grams. It is still sitting in muriatic acid, and is down to 14.88 grams. It is getting close. Should end up with at least 12-14 gram nugget.

No. This one was in the open. Half way up the side slope of a wash. Not hitting anything down in the washes. The nuggets are only being hit on, on the slopes.

So I had a good day today in my area where that Cholla got me. I've pulled 6 nuggets from here now and this one is the best one so far. A video of it will be done perhaps tomorrow. I have a Gold Seeker Adventures store front up with shirts sweatshirts, mugs and a bunch of other gear with the Gold Seeker Adventures logos. Also got some slogan shirts for detecting that will be available soon. Go to my description on my next video or the video of beware the cholla to check it out. Now this nugget I got today was 13.6" down. I used the 11" coil and was hunting in Auto 2. Even at 13.6" down it was loud.

A friend here told me about an old guy who was out detecting and he wouldn't go within 3 feet of any Cholla. Well, he was riding his quad down a slope of a wash and wiped out, sending him into a large cholla cactus. He called my friend and a friend of his to come out to help him get his ATV upright and help him with the Cholla. He was completely covered in cholla. All over his head and face, throat and the rest of his body. Landing in it would be very bad when lauched with force. Ouch 😳🤕

DSmith, the hornet incident on Bedrock gulch was not filmed. Oneguy saw it happen in person. It was fricking hilarious. There will be more mishaps happen to me I will end up putting on YouTube. That stuff has a way of happening to me😆.

KneePro lll . Just type this name in Amazon and they will show up. I think they come in three colors. I've tried all kinds of knee pads and I like these the most so far. Very comfortable. They stay put where you want them.
