  1. Just a picture to get the message out that the first big shipment is going to go out as planned. I’d love to see wall to walk pallets full and that they said TENS of thousands instead of just thousands.  My preorder didn’t get in until Dec 9 so I have to think I might have to wait for the following batch closer to late January.  As I sold every detector I had to allow me to order mine, and as it’s been surprisingly mild so far, I’m down to digging out old trash pits with pin pointer and shovel or site scouting. Appears to me XP has a well thought-out roll out plan.
I’m assuming, Chase, that you are waiting for yours as well?

  2. Maybe not a matter related to this thread, but I would really appreciate a simplified but descriptive explanation of the use of pitch where it is based not on conductivity but strength of signal based on size (density/conductivity?) and depth. I’ve not used pitch mode much because I don’t really get it. How do you interrogate targets using pitch mode?   I know some of you guys really prefer it for relic hunting and I want to understand and use it. Thanks.

  3. That’s a real improvement  compared to Deus I and Orx. Coupled with the -6.5 to +99 T. ID range compared to Nox and now Legend which are compressed. This might prove advantageous in multiple search types , even when hunting for worthwhile iron relics. I don’t know what kind of normalization scheme is or isn’t in place on the Deus II from program to program - that’s above my level of technical understanding. Maybe Steve or Chase could provide some insight on that. Frankly, the programs look so well thought out I doubt if I’d be messing with anything beyond sensitivity, ground balance and reactivity. I try to stay away from expert settings.

  4. I noticed that the new NM Legend has a compressed target Id range - slightly more increments than the Equinox. The Deus Ii , however has the full -6.4 to +99.  Given the generally more accurate ID compared to single frequencies, what is the benefit of this?  There was a lot of negative feedback in the early days of the Nox - it didn’t bother me but Do you think it will result in better pre-recovery ideas of what targets might be due to the full range ?  Just interested in what people think of this

  5. So yesterday I ordered the Deus II with 9” coil.

my dealer gave me $150 discount and no sales tax  and to further offset cost, I’m going to sell either my Deus lite or my Orx, one or the other. These things sealed the deal for me.   I’ll keep Orx or Deus lite for alternate and backup which is enough. I had already preordered the Legend, but I just canceled it.  Getting Both is out of the question and the XPDII is much the preferred.

  6. Having sold my equinox, the Legend is I suppose replacing that. My last equinox was a 600 so the Legend will have even more features than the 800, and of course is it’s own machine. The only other machines I have are my XP Orx and Deus Lite. If I could afford the new Deus I probably would be getting it and not the Legend. That said, I think I’m going to be very pleased with the Legend, Orx and Deus lite. I don’t get the opportunity to hunt the beach and water , so I don’t think the Deus II is a must have.

KRUZER & MULTI KRUZER WILL COME TO END OF LIFE AS OF DECEMBER 31st! GOLD KRUZER WILL STAY IN THE LINE UP!!!

ANFIBIO 14 AND 19 WILL ALSO BE DISCONTINUED AS OF DECEMBER 31st BUT ANFIBIO MULTI WILL STAY IN THE PRODUCT LINE-UP.

Yeah, kind of says it all, keep the dedicated specialty machine (Gold Kruzer), but weed out most of the rest, as Legend will consolidate the lineup. Too bad about the Kruzer S rods going away though, I wish Legend was on that rod instead, or even in the balanced Anfibio box. I’m not a fan of any of the cell phone on a stick designs as I think S rods better serve light detectors, and straight rods heavy detectors.

I agree with Steve about the s-rod preference. I can say having modified my equinox to S-shaft which improved ergonomics, There’s a good possibility I would eventually do the same on the Legend. It’s really not that tough of a modification to do.

  8. I sold an essentially new 9” hf coil to a guy who tells me after first use that it won’t stay connected to the remote. Does anyone know what the problem could be? He also says it should have come with a charger but I’ve bought several XP coils and they don’t come with a charger. I’m going to suggest he re-enter the coil serial number and give the coil a full charge. Coil was perfect for me.

  9. I have similarly made great finds with the same arrangement as yours and not just tiny non ferrous, although they turn up also. I never considered the elliptical for fields cause of the smaller sweep footprint, but I’m going to rethink this given your experience. Nice finds.

  10. I’m curious about what this new machine will offer. Kind of expecting a simplex with SMF. Not committed

to getting until I see reviews from trusted users , and not NM sponsored you tubers.
I’ve been thoroughly spoiled by XP Deus / Orx lightness and portability with great performance. I wonder if XP could just add SMF as an upgrade program on existing Deus?  Without the need to put it into a new package. Even if it was an upgrade you

have to pay for to get. ?

  11. I too had the XP Deus/Orx and equinox 600 combo

i sold the Nox cause I needed the money and was aggravated about the unavailability of the 10x 5 coil.
I like the equinox but the Orx/ Deus Lite suits my needs better. As for the 13x 11 coil, thought about getting one but decided the 11” is big enough considering I dont detect too many fields and wide open spaces.
I hope you do well with it

  12. I find that the iron probability bar is a very useful feature and it is pretty reliable too. I’m just now wondering how and if it varies when you pass over a target from multiple directions. Anyway interrogation of a iffy target consists of audio response, target ID and iron probability bar with passes from several directions.

  13. I really like my Orx and I have 3 coils for it - 11” x35

9” x35 Nd 5.5”x9” hf elliptical. Cover all the needs. For quasi-Deus function I have the WS4 and attached the controller puck to my finds pouch with a coiled headphone coil and small headphones zip tied to my hat. This way I can access the Deus basic programs and have the added tone options, and be able to see target ID’s.

  14. I thought that too when I got it, but not an issue.  I carry mine in a tennis racket bag with added straps to make a backpack. It holds up to 3 coils although I  usually leave the extras in another bag in the car and choose. Also holds a Predator Raptor with a D-handle  I added. Makes a great mini shovel I can use anywhere.   As for the WS4 pod I attached it to my dig pouch so I can see TID and run a short coiled cord to lightweight headphones. So it’s essentially wireless.
