  1. I spoke to Dimitar a little over a week ago but no mention of Aaron’s forum. He was his usual helpful self.
  2. I bought mine preowned and have serial #000052. I too wish someone would make a video on the correct method to salt balance. I spoke to Dimitar concerning this but still am a bit confused.
  3. Picked mine up yesterday and got out for an hour in a local park that is well hunted but still produces silver. I was blown away by how light and easy to swing this coil is. I ran it in park 1 with the same settings I use with the both the stock and small coil. It basically reacted to all targets exactly as the stock coil and actually pinpointed very well. I was able to pop up one silver Rosie dime that was under a root at about 7 inches. Compared the my CTX 17" coil, this was an absolute pleasure to swing. Can't wait to put more hours in with it, especially at the beach.
  4. I pick mine up from my dealer today and will hopefully get out this weekend
  5. Just picked mine up from my dealer. He received three and all are sold. A few not so surprising observations - light as hell to swing, not as deep in my test garden as stock coil, and able to run sens a few numbers higher. Pretty much what is to be expected with a small coil. Definitely gonna be fun to swing. Probably won't get in the field with it till next weekend. I'll take it to a few well hunted cellar holes that still occasionally produce.
  6. Congrats on the beautiful ring. Hunters who leave holes in the sand are a problems on the beaches I hunt as well. Its always the same few...
  7. I believe that I was one of the first users to complain about the rotating shaft issue. I sent the entire unit back to Minelab and they replaced it with a new one that did the same thing. I contacted them again and they sent another one to me that works fine. no problems since.
  8. I went on a four hour beach hunt the day after mine was acting up with no further incident.
  9. The new repair center is real quick. You may have it back by next weekend.
  10. I've been struggling with that headphone on/off button since day one, and I have skinny fingers. At times I have to push it three or four times to activate. Makes you wonder exactly who, in the design/development side of things, determined that it was the way to go.
  11. I'm about a mile or two from an airport but not a lot of traffic up there ever. I just went back out with battery reading full and it ran like normal. Could have been anything.
  12. Was just playing with mine in my backyard and it started going crazy as well after about ten minutes. Regardless of mode or frequency. Turned the sensitivity down but no change until I got it down to about 5. Was running it where I usually do in my backyard 18-19. Cellphone in house. I did a factory reset. The battery was showing full when I got out there (has about a two hour hunt on it) and a few minutes later it started going nuts. Now the battery is showing down one notch. I'm going to charge it up full and see what happens tomorrow. Fingers crossed it was just something stupid.
  13. Wow, Gary. Can't believe you sold the CTX. Must have been a heck of an offer - haha. I have two but will be letting one go soon.
  14. Nice finds. Betcha can't wait to revisit all your old fields when the 15" coil becomes available.
  15. The look like the CTX coils, my figures are crossed that they are priced much less.
  16. Really not a big issue, but I will try ground balancing. Thanks for the tip
  17. I was informed of a similar timeframe by a Minelab employee a few weeks ago. I can't wait to get one. I am #1 on a list with my dealer
  18. Vez - I have been experiencing the same as you. Most coin sized targets are about half the depth that the meter indicates.
  19. I have not compared to any wired sets, and Lord know I have enough of them.
  20. You won't find a seated in any better condition than that one. Very nice.
  21. I stopped looking at my depth meter because mine doesn't appear to be accurate at all. Almost every target indicates 8-10 inches but when dug targets are usually closer to 4-6". Makes me wonder what coin they calibrated it too. I don't even use the pinpoint, I just drag the coil toward me until the signal stops. Easier for me.
  22. To be honest, in a few of the spots I've hunted the ID numbers are all over the place, and I've used only Park 1 to date. Copper pennies at one park are coming in at 21-27, with some clad dimes actually lower, 25-26. At another spot older wheats are 18-19. Clad quarters seem consistent at 31. Way early for me with the Equinox, but the CTX ID seems more accurate so far. Light weight and razor quickness are another story however, and I am pulling more targets out of junk by far with the Nox. I just can't figure out what they are with confidence as of yet. Can't wait to get it on the beach to compare it to the CTX.
