I just picked up a new Vista X as I always enjoyed hunting at times without a vdi machine as I can tend to get lazy. The Vista X is said to do well in iron infested sights. Of course the ground is frozen solid and 8” of snow so it will be a while before I can play with it.

I have no problem waiting either, I have one on order along with the Deus 2 which is shipping Tuesday. Luckily the dealer I use does not ask for down payment, just pay before he ships. Looking forward to learning both. Still have other detectors to use in the mean time. Never really paid to much attention to the early reviewers and testers as I often times find my likes and theirs differ. I have to buy my own then decide.

I hear it is suppose to start shipping to distributors from XP in December and dealers are taking preorders.

It will be interesting to see, hopefully we will in 4 days!

Patiently waiting for mine, I will agree with Terry up until the Equinox for fresh water hunting the Tiger Shark was about as good as you could get for small gold jewelry.

That is great as I always wondered if he would ever admit another machine was close to being as good as the Tesoro's, it is nice to know he is honest and willing to talk up another brand. Nice to see the Equinox getting positive reviews.

Yes, it does have an external speaker. You can also use Bluetooth earbuds on those hot days. Brad

Steve, it is easy to see you are excited about the Equinox and to be able to share more of your thoughts when the time comes Minelab allows you. I would guess after the dealer conference we will be getting the info we have been waiting on. Looking forward to checking one out for myself!

In our NW Ohio ground it works very well although in heavy trash I still prefer the 5X8 which is my favorite coil on the AT series. The 6.5 X 9 is my go to coil for hunting fresh water lakes.
