Shows how much you love detecting! Great finds. 👍

Or just how stupid I am 😂.   Doesn’t seem like the swelling wants to go down but not much they can do with it.  So ya just hope ya don’t stub that toe.   Got to keep it moving

  2. Oh… oh was that a short joke???  Cliff ya the tide kept people near shore …. But on one end they were on the sand bar.  Targets definitely were best on one end.  Fun day …. I just need to be about 6” taller

  3. Tony Eisenhower’s phones work well in the water.  I do a couple of things…. I put a nylon sticker over the exterior speaker….. and a bit of Teflon tape on the threads of the headphone connector.   Occasionally take the box off the shaft and check for cracks where those screws connect.  My friend had 2 boxes break off from the torque in the water.  When I pulled mine to return it for dead battery it to had cracks.

  4. 😂…. At my age ya can’t tell if it was the running…. Detecting….. honey dew list …. Or just old age.   Felt good enough to do my morning run.  Here are my few finds.  Note those black quarters I was talking about they were really down there.  All those were silver. I guess the gold was deeper or one of the guy got it.  We kept saying man there has to be some gold down there

  5. I was at Clearwater yesterday with a hunting buddy.   We did about 10 hours in the water.  No gold …. Several hunters as usual on the weekend.  Not many targets but I dug some black coins I don’t believe the others heard… hunting buddy couldnt with his Xcal.  I always hunt behind him doing cleanup hitting high or low depending on his line.   He got a heavy silver necklace and a silver ring.   I got 4 rings and some junk jewelry along with the coins.  Long time in the water …. but I feel good today….. not much you can do about broken toes 😂

  6. I met him and his wife a few years back at St Pete…. he sure has a lot of passion for this machine and is slowly making design improvements based on what we want.  It’s a slow process but he is getting more dealers and the word is getting out about what this machine will do.  Me and Cliff made a run to Tampa a fees months back to Phil Meyers Detectors who will now sell them.  He wanted to know how we were using it on the beach.  We are seeing more designers now willing to come on line and talk detectors.  It would be great to see his responses to some of the questions.

  7. We all have our selfish desires we would like to have.  Mine of course is for water hunting. I cried for years about issues with the Xcal.  Like warranty, knobs, shaft, wires … and on and on.  Yes I’m sure there are financial milestones.  It won’t happen over night or at all.  He may well have improvements in the machine first.  He’s sure listening and we keep seeing improvements.  Which is an advantage IMO to a smaller company…. what improvements have ML made to the Nox to their issues?  I’m good with improvements right now over coils

  8. It maybe the targets that are varying not the depth.  Lot of dirt gets moved around creating them.  6.5 used to be the range used on a lot of single freq machines…. Cut back on EMI, gave reasonable depth and since they were mostly dirt machine were better on high freqs targets.  In some cases with the 12” coil near the water what seems to work is going the other way with SB.  IE… 12khz normal 27 SB would change to 13 where as the standard you might move to 34.

  9. You do some great videos Aaron.... glad some one does because this is a very good beach machine.  Love that new style battery box looks great with those longer threads.  Like Cliff i have a lot of hours on this machine... i have gotten drops... but a very few times (my fault mostly from not snugging the cap down) ... BUT im amazed how easy it cleans out and have NO damage from it at all.  I think ive only replaced those O rings once.   That was when i bought some and handed a few out to the other guys.  With waterproofing, the battery update, a second coil with upgraded ears, and SteveGs aftermarket lover shaft .... it just keeps getting better.

  10. Mine reset..... check to ensure you coil is completely tight.  Mine wasnt.  Cliff tell me about it.... in the process of moving....with two house holds of furniture, buy and selling, staging..... i cant remember what i had for lunch.   Also.... you maybe doing more water hunting.... meaning your coils in the water.

  11. In so many ways it comes down to dollars.  If he can’t sell a lot …. And he already knows how many machines are out there… then plain and simple he can’t produce it at a reasonable price.  There have been some good videos on how capable his coils are even with iron over or near good targets…. Now that’s separation.  So for the most part it might get limited uses compared to the other coils which serve both dirt and beach hunters.

  12. Just curious but do you think since he can do the lower at 30” getting it this long …. Then shorting the middle shaft would reduce drag anymore?  I’ve not actually measured other shafts I have…. Like the ML standard for the Nox just to see.

I tried holding the scoop today… no can do so I’m out of hunting for awhile.   Still can’t even hold a coffee cup with my left hand.

  13. I saw SteveG announced he did an his after market shaft to fit the MDT.   I have one and have to say for water hunter its worth every penny.  The ID and OD on it fits very snug especially into the upper where its important since thats where it might move the most from all the torque.  Mine extends even beyond the length of the coil cable.  Looks like Dimitar is willing to add a longer cable if you want a new coil to go along with the new shaft.  The shaft takes it down to a standard size..... so there maybe about 30% less drag out there.  The past few weeks ive been using on some yellow or red flag days..... so it handles the rip currents, big waves and some really swift current.  It even makes the machine lighter....hard to believe.  His lock is removable .... so for someone who wanted a much longer lower ..... the middle could be modified easily.   I like the design..... i think the price is fair.  Hopefully he will come on and give a little more info about it and what hes willing to do.  Even if you want another shaft to fit a second coil.... its sure nice to have.

  14. As one of the first salt water hunters … I’m with you Thomas.  He’s been outstanding to me.  He spends a lot of time with you on any problems you may have…. I’d bet very few gets to have a long conversation with most company designers or owners… let alone have them call YOU.

  15. I take off if a crazy man won’t get in…. Or when my SO come up with projects.  Had some health issue last year and still recovering.  Before that I could do 7 hours and still go home and do a 6 mile run.  At 69 I’m a slowing down.  Today I saw absolutely NO hunters anywhere.  Lost my headphones twice to waves.  There are times ya just have tell yourself… nothing is out there and stay at the house lol.  Friday I promised to help look for a class ring.

  16. Looks like you have the best of the best machine wise.   Ive managed to de-clutter the machines i wasnt using.... and frankly would let the Nox go if i thought id never need it for dirt hunting.  My Nox has a new coil (broke the ears) and box (battery died and stress cracks).   A good bit of the red has faded from my buttons.... other than that this machine has been very durable.  Seems i was always working on the Xcal.... but those babies pay for themselves.  Thats why i didnt let go of Ole Blue with its PPer.  Seems i must have gotten one of the last 3000 lith battery made by RB as well.  You definitely have more experience with the PIs than me so i can see how the AQ suits you well.  Time for you to get out there and enjoy the sun and get some gold buddy.
