    Hello

    Welcome from Kansas!
  2. Welcome to the group from Kansas. You for certain have two of the best detectors going! The Manticore and the CTX. We will be looking forward to seeing and hearing about your finds in 2024!
  3. Man that's terrible to hear considering how great the products were that came out of his business. Hopefully he kept all of his blue prints and build designs on computer file for the family to possibly sell out to someone that would consider continuing the SunRay product line.
  4. I have seen that for a short time last year the SunRay NX-1 inline probe pinpointer system was for sale online and from a few suppliers. This was short lived and soon became virtually impossible as is the case today. I was just wondering if any of the Equinox users on here were lucky enough to purchase one, and if so how did it work for you? I'm hoping that in the not so distant future, the SunRay company will begin production again for all of the Equinox metal detector options that have become available. ✌️
  5. Jeff I was hoping to purchase on at that great price that you mentioned. I Checked out the Northwest Detectors website today and it lists the $499 Legend offer as the old Legend model closeout deal.. Here is how it is written now. Nokta Legend WHP Metal Detector OLD MODEL CLOSEOUT PRICE! $749.00 old price Current price$499.00
  6. The new release from Minelab, the ProFind 40, might be just what your looking for. Minelab claims that it is 10% deeper than the 35 was, it discriminates between ferrous and non-ferrous, and has new rapid retune. I'll post the link to video segment from Minelab.

Welcome aboard Nalawal. Thats a lot of money to pump into a metal detector. I would encourage you to talk to your local metal detecting shop first and tell them about what your going to be detecting for in your region. They just might have some great input to help with your choice. I personally would think that you would fit better into a Nokta Legend or the new Minelab XTerra Pro at far less than the price tags that you are looking at with the 900, Manticore, or the Deus2. These suggestions wouldn't cost you as much and all of them are turn on and go machines right out of the box. As you use their installed programs then you can work on making your own program adjustments to fit better with your soil type in your area. Some great ideas for dealers that you could speak with would be Gerrys Metal Detectors, Bart at Big Boy Hobbies, or Rons Detectors.
  8. This was one that she had kept for herself when they stopped coming in. I was lucky enough to be able to buy it from her as she had never ended up using it. If I do find a dealer that has these in stock again, then you can bet that I will be purchasing a second one and for certain letting everyone know that they are back available in the states.
  9. I have obtained one from a local metal detector dealer here in Kansas. It works great with the Minelab 900 metal detector, but it is still unknown about if it works well with the new Manticore?
  10. Thank You for taking the time out to respond dsb. This will be purchased soon!
  11. Phrunt, I would assume that the upgrade in the chip technology for the Nox 900 over the 800, would be just as good as the Manitcore's when it comes to detecting around high EMI areas? Maybe I should hold off on purchasing the 900 and lean more towards the Manticore? Have any of you that use the Nox 900 experienced a significant change in dealing with higher than normal EMI transmission spots?
  12. I am getting ready to purchase a Equinox 900 and was curious if the RNB PowerNox battery that was made for the Equinox 600 and 800 is compatible with the Equinox 700, 900, and Manitcore as well?
  13. This is exactly why I feel as if there will be a newer version of the CTX coming out over the course of the next year. They are offering the Minelab user altogether better features than the Equinox had, with 2D technology, better waterproof rating, better depths and discrimination, underside led light, and collapsible carbon fiber rod system, oh and lets not forget their MULTI-IQ+. One cannot sit here and think that they are not working towards the next great CTX option.
  14. Hello and Welcome from N.E. Kansas. That Equinox 900 looks to be a real good metal detecting unit! Be sure to check out the Minelab forum on here for the Equinox. We cant wait to contribute to your discussions and hear about your great finds in 2023!
  15. Hello and welcome to the group Rick. I'm another fellow Kansas hunter from the Northeast. We will be looking forward to seeing great finds this year and seeing your contributions to the forums.
  16. The other night I was listening to the Beyond Sight and Sound podcast and, Chuck S. one of the Minelab Dealers and guest speaker, would not give a concrete release date for the Manticore. However, he mentioned about another major release that is coming in the late Winter or Early Spring from Minelab. It's really got my interests peaked.
  17. Your onto a great location! Keep at it!
  18. Welcome from N.E. Kansas! You've come to the right place to better learn the ropes of using your metal detector, and some great discussions on panning for gold. We will be looking forward to discussing about some of your future finds in Indiana.
  19. It's great to see you join up with Detector Prospector. Be sure to align yourself up with the forum that matches your preferred metal detector of choice. We will be looking forward to seeing you in some of the many discussions on here and hearing about your many trial, and tribulations along the way. Welcome Aboard!
  20. Welcome to hobby Ruben. There are lots of metal detecting outfitters out there that will offer you a discount for being military. Usually this is about 15% off of your purchase. One that is local to your state is American Detector Distributors. Since your from Texas be sure to look into the Charles Garrett Memorial Hunt in Canton, Texas. This event is loads of fun and there are lots of great hunts that you may participate in. The Nokta Makro line is a proven company that has put out many great units. Be sure to compare the Simplex+, the Legend, and their Anfibio Multi units (there are so many more). I'm sure that whatever unit that you choose will be one that you will grow with and learn to master along the way. Be sure to also look into the Texas Association of Metal Detecting Clubs. That will help you get into a local metal detecting club near you. We will be looking forward to seeing your posts on here and hearing about what metal detector that you have decided to go with.
  21. Welcome aboard Ollie✌️ I to use the Deus 1 quite often. We will be looking forward to seeing and hearing about some of your great finds on the many discussion boards. Be sure to check out XP Deus Forum. Cheers!
  22. Fantastic find Troy! You know what they say those old parks can be hunted to death, but they will always produce something that was missed. You, my friend, hit a great seated right there! Huge Congrats on both of these finds!
  23. Welcome aboard and wishing you great luck with the Legend. All of my Kansas friends that have invested into one have produced great finds in the fields and yards. That machine is a great buy for the price that its offered for! Did you buy the ProPack or just the factory one coil package?
  24. It's nice to meet you and heres a warm welcome to the addiction! We will be looking forward to reading your entries into the Garrett and Nokta Makro threads. Happy Hunting!
  25. Congratulations! I would have done the same. Always follow the signs, of the old inhabitants, that lay upon the ground.
