  1. I bought the 6" coil last summer and hit a real small park that is super trashy. Like i mean every 10"-12" is iron grunts. I had hit it hard with my AT Pro over the last 2 years with every coil size. Then i blasted it with the equinox standard 11" coil a few times. Once i got the 6" coil i hit it again and pulled out a Canadian large cent on edge and also found a 1908 pocket watch in a hole with a couple rusty nails. It definitely has its place in your tool bag. For a site like that that it is impossible to dig every target i am able to pick out the high squeakers among all the iron trash. It doesn't cover a lot of ground so i wouldn't use it on a full time basis but it sure helps out on those trash laden sites.
  2. Voyager32 the settings i started with but tweak a bit based on the park i am at is. Park2, 40khz, 50 tone, Iron bias 2, recovery speed 4. This hits loonies and toonies as well as newer quarters. They jump a bit but not as much as bottle caps. I do tend to get about 15-25% more bottlecaps in single frequency but in multi i dont think i have ever dug a loonie or toonie.
  3. I use single frequency about 50% of the time. I am in Canada and it is really the only effective way of getting modern Canadian coins. It still hits nice deep silver so it is effective for me in a park setting.
  4. Sorry for a basic question but what is the 'gain'?
  5. I ordered one from ebay. The seller is in the Ukraine. Taxes and shipping all in it was just over100 bucks. I have had no problems with it so far. He also has a few different sizes and models. Basically half the price of other scoops on the market. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/HEXAHEDRON-10-Beach-Sand-Scoop-Metal-Detector-Hunting-Tool-Stainless-Steel/182198075230?hash=item2a6bd9ff5e:g:LkwAAOSwXeJXfkXQ
  6. Any word on other stock items like the center shaft? I want to mod it with a folding joint but i don't want to ruin the current one. Would be nice to have a practice one to mess up on...lol
  7. Does anyone have one of these charts for Canadian coins. I know the newer ones are mostly junk metal and the official manual notes them as coming up between -9 and 0. But was hoping someone has done a bit of testing and recording....
