  1. I wonder if that is why Scheels sporting goods had a good price on them? I would not be afraid to stand on it and it is small enough for a carry on I believe. I see the link I posted is no longer available. I looked on a few sites and they say currently unavilable. That is too bad. They are a solid waterproof case perfectfor the Equinox.
  2. I bought mine at Scheels for 79.00. They are pricy on Amazon USA
  3. I bought a Gardforce by Vanguard hard case. Outback series 52C. The size is 31-1/2 X 13-1/4 X 5-3/8. The weight is 7.05 lbs/3.20kg. The foam padding does not have to be cut. It is soft enough to compress around what is laid in the case keeping it protected and the detector or other items do not shift when closed. I like it because it is small and would be easy to carry on a plane or it would not take up a lot of room in a vehicle. It has it own lock and also locks can be added to the hasps. The detector has to be broke down a little more but it can be assembled back together in about two minutes with a little practice. I am not in a race to the field so I don't mind trading a smaller case and security for a couple of minutes of reassembly. The head phones along with the case fits as well. Picture that I took is attached.
  4. After 2 weeks shy of 7 MONTHS I finally have a tracking #. If you are upset about a long wait , try my wait for the 800. Coming UPS tomorrow from Wisconsin. It was dropped shipped. My dealer had to call and raise some caine with Minelab about the allocations to small dealers like his. He was not recieving any 800's and only 600'. They finnaly listened and drop shipped some of his orders. The looooong wait kind of took the interest out of it a bit. I am not as excited about it.
  5. Ordered from Kellyco Dec 6th. I decided to get a refund and went elsewhere about 5 weeks ago. They just were not letting me know where I stand and they were getting small shipments and I knew they had a huge preorder list. I am now #1 on a new list from a smaller dealer and have been for a month now. I may never get to use one. I just was diagnosed with cancer. I am hoping that they can kill it. It has not spread which is good. I may be in radiation treatment for 5 weeks in the Minneapolis VA. I'll take my Safari with. I know some good places in St.Paul that I have hunted before when I lived there years ago. I can maybe detect in between treatment each day. Anyone from the Minneapolis / St.Paul area that has free time to go hunting?
  6. I am sure all these things will be fixed in updates later. The Equinox allows for updates and fixes online from what I have read. Like any new electronics, bugs will have to be worked out. Cell phones are always getting bugs and fixes in updates.
  7. You must have found a Party Park. You can always make a chain out of them. That is what us kids in the 60's would do for entertainment. Many kids now days probably never seen a pull tab. Good find
  8. I was Dec 6th with Kco and I flew the coop and went somewhere else. I found a place where I am now first the next shippment. I think I would have been waiting all Summer at the rate they were getting them and the massive pre-order list they have. Find a smaller dealer. It may take a lot of calling but it will pay off. No hassel with getting my money back from them. It took just a couple of days and it was refunded to my CC.
  9. I had erratic numbers all over the place with a Whites a few years back. It ended up being a loose ground wire for the coil I was told. It was fixed by an authorized dealer and worked fine after. My Safari goes crazy in my back yard under the powerlines and near the transformer pole. I was trying to find a property marker. I tried turning the sencitivity down but it still acted up. I ended up having to use the Pioneer with the small coil. emi can cause some interference.
  10. Today I let go of myplace in line with KellyCo. Someone else will move up one notch. I was Dec 6th.
  11. It is becoming more evident that the second scenario is the case. Hundreds of pre orders and less than 20 have been shipped to Kellyco since shipments started. I am beginning to think Minelab is trying to run them out of business.
  12. I have numbers now for three more dealers and I will call Monday. I will keep the order from Kellyco active but will go elseware and just order a second 800. If I end up with two of them I am sure I can sell the second one easy. There is no way Kellyco is going to fill my order by the end of March or even April or May at the rate they are getting shipments. I ordered the 6th of December. Thanks for the tip Chase and Blue Dog.
  13. Even those that ordered last year? How can a dealer fill their order when they recieve 10 at the most in a single shippment and have 100's of pre-orders from last year alone? If I want one I am beginning to think my best bet is to cancil an order and go with someone else. I don't think Minelab is going to ship a few hundred to a single dealer. signed, Frustrated
