  1. Great write up for a quick reference without all the confusion of to much tech that most do not understand.
  2. I agree, one of the best books out there for all around prospecting.
  3. Its very common to find gold along with that blue colored material in the area your located.
  4. Very sad news, RIP Jim. Had to make that choice for my father years ago, very tough spot to be in, would wish that on no one.
  5. How you been doing Robert, was wondering where you went and how you have been doing.
  6. R.I.P. Fred. He is probably still trying to find that Glory hole.
  7. You will be up and about soon, you got this.
  8. Wow, this sure went sideways fast. I will say I loved reading GhostMiners story. Did I believe evey tale? No I did not. But most stories, be it fact or fiction need alittle embeleshing to make them more exciting. I know Juan, and that man loves helping people,Freddy as well. Allthe work they do cannot be crammed into a 1 hr show, and if they did, it would be a boring show just watching them work for 5 days. I have met Steve, and talked to him many times at our local prospecting club meetings. Steve is a stand up guy also. Myself, I fully understood that Steve did not detect that entire tailings pile in the alloted time. But he did his best with his time on what he could. I feel most people know this, and myself, I watch it anyways fully understanding there has to be entertainment sprinkled in to keep people interested. I would not slam GhostMiner for his writtings. I wont slam any of the Gold Rush shows. And I will not Slam Freddy and Juan for the great things they do for others. As for Steve, he is a very knowledgable guy, and from what I have seen has always been straight up, honest and fair.
  9. Found Gold first time out with my detector. But I was allowed on a great claim where they were into a old river channel.
  10. This has been the most addicted I have ever been to a story. You have been connected to a time in history that most here will never experiance.
  11. Thank You, I dont post much, but have been reading from the beginning. I check a few times a day for new posts.
  12. Even awhile back there hasnt been any mention of sarge's stashed loot being found.????
  13. Im curious to what happened to the hidden loot the other workers had hidden before they were killed. Did anyone ever find it?
  14. Never Happened to me yet. This has been one of the best controlled forums I have been on.
  15. Not to mention the issues that would come up concerning warranty when something goes wrong by using certain items.
  16. I have never seen an entire family so motivated in this hobby. Im sure you are going to find what you are looking for, as long as you keep the fires inside burning. I know you can and will do great things.
  17. It depends on the area im heading into. Known areas I will take the big guns into. If its a new area, I normally pack 2, a GM1000 and my atx. I leave the big guns at home until I know there is need. I wont leave them in the vehicle. Sometimes im miles away and dont need to worry about them. Plus I like to get a feel for new areas before headng into it with alot of high dollar equipment.
  18. It is pretty tough riding those bike when you are not used to it. What I did was an electric powered assist mountain bike, makes it much easier.
