Is it just me or why would you need the 14 x 9 or the 15 inch round when Minelab already has a 15”. What would be the difference in performance or usability?
Depth is usually somewhat physically tied to the smallest of the two coil dimensions, so in theory the 15”round should offer some potential extra depth when compared to MLs stock 11” or the 15x12. Not sure where that leaves the 14x9?? Maybe just offering that because they already have the mold from the ctx version Coiltek makes??

That's not bad. I was afraid it would be $300. I'll get one for that price.
Same here! I was messaging with a friend who is a dealer earlier and secured a spot on his list. He wasn’t sure how soon he would be getting any yet though and now that we have info from Coiltek it looks to be March at least. Still it’s progress.

I was told $210US for the 10x5. So definitely not “cheap” but at least there are options now!!

. Putting out an Ace Apex type of “soft multifrequency” model may check off some boxes, but will not really impress anyone. I say take the time to get it right.
With the power Minelab made available at the Vanquish price point, they definitely need to get it right!

and better yet with prices similar to the vanquish coils too? Makes sense to me anyway. ,
It’s a nice thought but the likelihood of them selling new coil options for less than existing NOX coils is doubtful.

I still don’t quite grasp the coil ear problem. I’ve used mine for almost 2 years like a maniac in a slasher movie when in the overgrown woods I tend to hunt and have never had any problems fortunately. I was nervous when people were talking about it on the forums but all has been fine with mine. Guess it’s just the luck of the draw?? Or maybe some batches were molded too hot or not cooled correctly????

The shovel is the best form of target ID ever made😉😉

Still hoping they let coiltek make the same elliptical for the NOX that they produced for the CTX!!! If they are letting nuggetfinder make coils for the GPZ there is hope🤞🤞

That control by the battery door is to adjust the threshold level when in all metal mode.

Good reports fellas!! Haven’t used my MMK in a while. I settled on the 5x9.5 coil and haven’t Switched it since I got my NOX. The MKruzer is a beast in iron infested spots though!! Might have to give one of these SuperFly coils a try.

Shoot me a message with your address. I can send you a complete door. I have a dead Amigo that I robbed some components from to fix another, anyway, I have a spare housing and can gladly donate the battery cover. Always good to see a Tesoro getting used by the younglings!

The only time I’ve gotten solid dig signals on bottle caps was when experimenting with F and F2 settings over 2. I usually alternate between FandF2 set to 0 and bottlecaps always give inconsistent responses with a definite iron edge to the tones.

All I ever see on FB and Craigslist are XLTs and IDXs for $400-500.......no thanks😂😂

Will definitely be sad to see them go if that’s what ends up happening. Seems like Whites and Tesoro met the same fate of making products solely for the “hobby” market. First Texas and Garrett seem to generate the majority of income from products outside the hobby market.
I wonder what the odds of First Texas buying them out. Would be cool if someone with more modern manufacturing capabilities could bring the Whites MF platform into the future!!!!- 1

Who knows. When a dealer has one I can buy and a price I’ll buy one. If it’s so limited only special people with special connections can get one... well the product will be a failure and I won’t care. Any company that can’t make enough of something that people want is not worth doing business with. I refuse to buy into any of the “Limited Edition” and “Special Edition” stuff. Yeah, like the F75 Ltd, so limited you can still buy them new 20 years later! but seriously, if FT is not making and selling these for at least a few years, then it is a business failure. Maybe the first few units are “Limited” in some way, but making just 20 units would not begin to cover the cost of even designing and tooling up for the battery case.
If FT only makes 20 and quits... did you really need one after all? Think about it. The only way that happens is if it does not perform to a level that people are willing to pay for.
Hopefully they just do factory direct like the Teknetics sales model. Kind of amusing hearing “dealers” talking about pre-orders for a machine that the manufacturer has barely even acknowledged 😂😂

“MultiFlex” was the technology name used in some of the early Vanquish “info” on the tabloid MD sites. I wonder if there was leaked info about this that got mixed up with the Vanquish??? Or maybe it’s some kind of VFlex tech collaboration or licensing????

Apparently he purchased it through Kellyco. I just checked and they have them on their site. Surprised that Dilek hasn’t posted anything about it. They always seemed on top of new product info????

I may putter around in some dense ferrous just for yucks. What people call relic hunting, but which I like to do just to play with the detector and hone my skills.
. First place it will probably go is a tot lot to dig wadded aluminum foil.
That’s pretty much the way I look at relic hunting too Steve. As long as the site is old enough to potentially have gold coins I have no problem “muckin’ around in the iron” for a few hours every now and then and if nothing else learning a bit more about the machine.
As to the tot lot gold......or rather foil😂😂.......that’ll probably be what I use this for mostly. An alternative to my Mojave/Cleansweep combo for clearing parks, fields and playgrounds of foil and pulltabs 😂😂😂.
All joking aside I did take it to the church playground down the road yesterday and dug this little chain. Not gold but still a nice test.....and I didn’t even break it👍👍. The VCO on these machines is really nice for sizing targets.

I started this topic because of the somewhat cryptic quote from the manual about discrimination being inversely proportional in part of its range.
I have a MultiKruzer and played around with the disc settings a bunch with my deeper test targets due to the commentary in the manual about depth/noise in regards to the disc setting and was never able to discern any difference in depth due to disc settings. Granted that our dirt in Florida is as mild as it gets for the most part. Also I rarely get use any discrimination with tone ID machines and the MultiKruzer is definitely better at unmasking(IMO) when you can hear the iron too.
That being said I rarely use it anymore due to the “sizzly” digital audio being extremely fatiguing.- 2

No. They said they were going to make it updateable (Is that a word?) on my iMac.
Isn’t there a way to run a version of windows on mac/apple laptops and desktops????

It’s the same machine as TDI SL, just a waterproof version, so anything you can find on that machine will transfer over tothe TDIBH.
-
I remember TBoykin saying that you might be able to order the TDIBH with different coils. That was right before he left Whites I believe. I wonder if that is still an option???
