Thank you. I got this information from XP and was a little confused ........
Contact - Service Après-venteDear Dan,Thank you for your inquiry. You do not need a receipt for warranty service. We solely rely on the product's serial number, which you provided (00E934), to validate the warranty.Cordialement / Best regardsL'equipe XP / XP TeamXPLORER8 rue du développement - ZI de VICF-31320 Castanet Tolosan – Francewww.xpmetaldetectors.comI guess they’ve changed their policy regarding the receipt but haven’t updated their website yet.
”The complete XP DEUS metal detector is covered by a five year parts and labor warranty for detectors purchased on or after January 1, 2013. Units purchased prior to this date are covered by a 2 Year Parts and Labor Warranty. The warranty is for the device based on the serial number. If resold, the warranty follows the device. The warranty is based on the date of the original sale as noted on the receipt from an authorized dealer. A copy of the original sales receipt is required for service under the warranty. Units submitted for service without a sales receipt are considered out of warranty”.

It is. They will just need a copy of the original receipt.

That is a cool design!

Price lowered to 250 shipped on WS6 set #1, and $210 shipped on WS6 set #2.
-
Depends on the base program. In v1.1+, Deep HC, they seem to come in at 54-59 for me. In Fast, 59-64.

Congrats on the new rig NC! I recently picked up an extra D2 with almost the exact same setup. 13”x11” coil, remote, WSA II XL, WS6 and an extra 9” coil. I prefer the WSA 2 XL’s over the WS6, so figured I’d just sell both of my WS6 headphones and the extra 9” coil to recoup some of the $$$ I spent.

9” coil is sold. Both WS6 headphones are still available.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery CPT!

That took a long time for me, but it's so much better now. While I would still say it's not a "turn on and go" machine with the installed programs, once you understand how the settings work it can be a killer.
If you ever get Silver Slayer back to where it was, please post it here. 😀 I can see now where the ID shift caused problems. Or did you already?
Will do. I briefly tried SS set up over the Fast program in 2.0. It seemed to work ok using fast as the base, but I haven’t really used it much yet. I noticed the nickel range was way different using Deep HC. 54-59 I think it was? Looking forward to putting more time on 2.0 soon.

I saw that video while browsing YouTube at work the other day and meant to check it out when I got home, but completely forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me and sharing your thoughts. I recently picked up an extra Deus 2 running 2.0, and will definitely load the Tekkna program up and try it out soon.
BTW, after setting up 2.0 as close as possible to what I’m used to in .71 (audio filter at zero, no frequency cap, regular square tones, silencer at 1 or 2), it ran very smoothy for me. Much better than the last time I tried 1.0 and 1.1. I think where I went wrong the first couple of times was trying out too many new settings at once. This time I’ll ease into trying the new settings a little at a time.
i still wish v2.0 had the same ID normalization as .71. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying having to get used to new TID readings in different programs.

Quest headphones are sold to D&P-OR.
All other items still available.

All prices include shipping to the lower 48 states. No international shipping.
Payment method: PayPal FF or add 3%.Thanks!

Nice write up and great finds. You and Bob are killing it!

I had one for a while. IMHO, it works great in soft ground but not the best choice for tough ground. The Predator Tools Spartan is what I use most of the time.
-
I sold mine. Wasn’t disappointed at all. I actually thought it was a great detector, but just prefer the audio and ergonomics of the Deus 2.
-
I’m also looking to pick up a used unit with 11” coil and just the remote. I mainly want it for testing purposes such as comparing different versions. I could do that now using my WS6, but just prefer the remote due to ease of use. I was originally just going to buy a new RC, but then realized that I’ve seen complete used Deus 2’s for around that same price. I’ve been wanting an 11” coil anyway, so makes more sense to go that route. I’m not in any hurry, so I’ll wait until I see another really good deal pop up.

Awesome coin George!

Wow! You guys are killing it! Great finds!

Excellent finds! Off to a great start indeed!

Nice comparison and a good read. Thanks!

Like Jeff, I have the puck mounted in Quest over the ear headphones. My detecting buddy has both and says the audio quality is noticeably better with the WSA XL. I've never used the XLs so I can't confirm.
-
Thank you for the detailed comparison, 350! All very interesting, especially how much tighter the IDs were. I think I’ll load 2.0 on my WS6 and compare it to .71 on my remote for a while. Thanks again!

There are several important changes from v0.71 to v1.0 and then some "fixes" to v1.0 that were done with v1.1. V2.0s change sheet for the RC update is very short. The change sheet for WS6 as master is longer. Before you make the switch to v2.0, you might want to review all of those change sheets on XPs website.
Thanks Jeff. I won't be upgrading anytime soon, but will definitely look over the change sheets before I do.

Looking forward to reading your findings, midalake.

Now I'm thinking of rolling back one of the RCs to V0.71, creating identical programs on both - this may be of interest as well if some parameters are not the same - and trying both in the same live conditions. Would anyone interested in that? I have never used any of the Gold programs, for the most part it has been Beach Sensitive, Relic, and General.
I want to help anyone who might be reluctant to update to V2. I was not reluctant and am pleased with the final outcome, but it took some effort to reach that outcome. 🙂 There are still some things that bother me, and I want to see if they were there all along.
I'd be interested in seeing that comparison as well. When 1.0 came out, I updated, tried it a few times, got frustrated and went back to what I'm familiar with in .71. I may give 2.0 a shot, since .71 will may become unavailable in the near future.
Any Peeps On Here Who Regret Purchasing The Mighty Manticore?

I had a Manticore for a while and liked it a lot. Great performance, well thought out menu and excellent screen. I just found that the Deus 2 was better suited for my style of hunting. Mainly due to weight and audio, the latter of which being personal preference. If the Deus 2 didn't exist, I'd be perfectly happy with the Manticore as my primary detector. It's a great machine IMHO.
