  1. OK, was thinking the iron didn't look crusty enough to come out of salt water.
  2. I don't want the Deus 2 [right now] for several reasons: 1. The rod is unhuntable in my location and a good replacement has not been made yet. 2. The rear mount coil is a POS in wave wash. 3. Cost 4. My testing, now from earlier software versions was clear that the D2 could only maybe match par with the Equinox in Horseshoe mode on the wet beach. Once the D2 lost TID on a target it was very difficult to get a 360 clean tone on nonferrous for idenification and recovery. 5. Learning curves are no bother to me, but I would like to see a finished product at some point. That only leaves one location left on my beach where I would want to use the D2, active Wave Wash. I am on the sidelines waiting for the Legend to get into the hands of an experienced salt hunter to get a review of the Legend VS Equinox in active salt wave wash. If it turns out the Legend can do better than the Equinox in wave wash that will be my choice. I am not so sure the Deus 2 can outperform MDT in moving salt water, I do know the D2 can beat the Equinox. My time spent testing the MDT showed it was the best detector I had tested to date in moving salt. Too bad the coil wire was not longer, and the offset coil and price were other factors I passed on the MDT. HH to you Dew......
  3. Only way to verify, would be to see the maximum depth where you are running and compare that to the machines known ability.
  4. Oh my gosh, I could not hack digging that much Iron anymore. Is this a freshwater beach?
  5. BOOM, nice job! When are you going to buy a Deus 2 so I know what breaks on it????
  6. Solid 86???? Impossible according to TN......🤣 Nice work on the 18k chunk!!!!
  7. Nope, not like that ring. What size finger does Billy Joel have? 😄
  8. Calabash doesn't know how to use the Horseshoe mode on the Equinox and compare it to the D2 on a Salt Beach. Honesty is not his forte. Just, "his perceived honesty" After all, if you do not do a certain test is does not exist? Right?
  9. Step into the light Jeff...........🤣 https://www.ebay.com/itm/192306295884?var=492245804033&hash=item2cc659344c:g:PPcAAOSwHRxhr3xJ
  10. This would be a great question for Tom Dankowski. Bet he would have an answer.
  11. This is why someone should buy my Equinox 800 on the classified forum. It is a verified gold killer....... and a real Minelab machine!
  12. Excellent work! It would be nice to see some deep targets found with your Equinox, then compared to the Deus 2. Seems like you are getting proficient with both.
  13. No idea on the buried response? I applaud you for doing wild testing with two detectors. It is the only way to decide which machine is better!
  14. UGH, that scoop caught my eye. With my rough surf and soft sand, I am always looking for more bucket than bill. Nice collection!!!!
  15. Thanks for posting all this information, it is a wealth of knowledge! Is this Diablo scoop still made? Also where are you getting your CF rods from?
  16. Credit cards give you the most buyer protection and financial protection. Been doing business on Flea Bay for years that way.
  17. 9" is just too large for good wetsand/ water work. A 9" scoop better be built like a brick-chit-house. As mentioned, dry sand work.
  18. So, they are going to make a waterproof Sovereign that will function only in Pinpoint mode AND discriminate! 😁
  19. Good catch, and sound advice! How about target breakdown at depth? Did setting 3 seem to hold all the way down?
  20. WTH, is WRONG with companies off setting coils???? What engineer started this chit.
  21. 9" coil packages are already being sold in the U.S. I think that prediction is way over-blowen. Unless Deus runs into coil failures or ear breakage.
  22. With the size of the connecting point, it may be a part of something larger?
