  1. The range of those skanky zinc's is unacceptable>also the Nox pretty much locks my square tabs at 13-14..... SO HAPPY I detect in Mexico.
  2. Legend 9.5X6 and 12X9 announced today>>>ALSO another software update. So where is that D2 software update? πŸ™„....looks like I am still a tester for them😏
  3. No question Tom forgot more about detectors than i have ever known. However, you have to understand that his testing conditions are some of the mildest ground and beach in the country. His settings and results are going to be different than yours.
  4. Can you explain more? Wet sand? Wet sand water contact? Do you have any black sand? Thanks
  5. A combination of humor and truth!!!!πŸ˜„
  6. I agree, but want to point out how chatty the Manticore was. Not quite sure one could hunt there. I was also surprised to hear the sensitivity was only 23!!!!! One trick experienced hunters do on deep targets is to raise the sensitivity a point or two just to look at that one target. In this case the Manticore has LOTS of power left as compared to the D2. This is a very interesting point.
  7. Make Your Headphones Work With The Manticore>>> YUP, going to plug them right in the back!!!!!!!!!
  8. Pretty impressive the Manticore can confirm 3 different targets on the coil sweep. Clearly the Manticore won that test.
  9. Awesome digs!!!! Looking forward to your operating thoughts! Shipping to another town in Mexico is easy. You could ship this to my location before you leave and not have the burden of dragging it back home!!!! [I am serious]
  10. That was another completely worthless vid with nothing to be learned!
  11. I keep air-testing simple! I want to know the maximum performance of a detector and that is what air-testing accomplishes. Then the goal is to see how this performance can translate to the ground/beach.
  12. Hi Rick, I have the D2 with only the 9" coil and hunt water. No issues with working the coil in the water. It works easier than an Equinox with the 11" [by far]
  13. If this is the case, I will go right to the Manticore and skip the 900. I would buy a pod only option if offered. I may even try to run it up the flagpole with a complaint.
  14. Awww geeze. Beat me down there and you have a Manti too. 😏 Please post on the salt info.........My buddy who lives in Mex just paid for his, so we will be testing it hopefully in early Jan.
  15. Not sure why they would not? Deus has pod only options!
  16. I really hope Minelab does a price for the 900 [Pod Only] I do not want a box of items that I will not use.
  17. Someone today stated: The shafts on the Manticore are SMALLER in diameter than the Equinox. Therefore, the 900 will be smaller as well with both being the new carbon fiber. So, the lower rods will not interchange between Equinox 800 and 900.
  18. I just DO NOT UNDERSTAND offsetting coils. Just is beyond my comprehension.
  19. In the Manticore case Steve it may be easier to extend the upper rod back further than a longer lower rod. One has to see the cable length of the coil as well.
  20. Manticore length Anyone know yet if the Manticore is built long enough for someone that is 6'4.? Or do I have to detect on my knees like the last 10 year's worth of detector releases.
