completely removing discrimination and notch, raising audio response to 7
I have done much testing and there is nothing to gain with Audio Response at 7 In a Salt environment a 7 setting can really hurt. I would only recommend 6 max.

If you can cut Black Sand....I am interested!! Not sure how 90khz will be able to do that?

Just try any piece of tiny gold with an air test in mono and P12 after...You'll realize what I mean.
I'm searching the same spot since a month ago, exactly the same place where I found a few pieces.
For me personally. Tiny gold is not worth my effort and does not pay the bills. The time lost chasing specks can lend itself to miss other opportunities.

Exactly! Beach Pitch is just a copy of P12 (and P12 is the program I use a bit modified).
Here I'm comparing The Mono program with P12.
Problem is...The same of almost all of other programs.
Unusable underwater in saltwater.
Mono programs are not even a consideration on a wet salt beach. Not sure why you are surprised or disappointed?

I'm not complaining at all about the instrument as it work as it should but what am I missing if the actual setting found me this with half depth power?
Just to be clear. In depth testing on fringe targets we did not find Beach Pitch superior to another beach program.

Audio Response does A LOT to the perceived depth, imho. I usually keep it at 5.
YES>I keep mine at 6.

YES> I use the 9" coil and am VERY uncomfortable hunting past a reactivity of.5

I am not sure how you are coming to the conclusion that Seach Sensitive has 50% less power than Beach P. For the record I cannot stand Beach P even on wet sand. What is the most important is frequency weighting and hunting cleanly. If you can hunt pretty clean at a sensitivity of 92 with Beach Sensitive, you will NOT find another program on the Deus2 better for gold.

Nice work!!! Man, big jellyfish.

To be clear, the Deus2 9" coil is actually 8 3/4 inches.

I haven't seen a video or article yet that advocates for using the auto ground tracking feature on the Manticore.
I am not sure what the manual states? I think where most are using tracking is at a salt beach. I run tracking GB regardless of the detector I am using.

There is a 5 x 9 inch coil for the deus, I'd go for that.
What is a 5X9 coil going to do that the 9" round will not??? I hunt water with the 9" now.

I am saddened by what I see being reported as depth issues after performing online available software updates for detectors like Deus 2, Equinox 600/800 and of course, everyones whipping post, the Legend.
Software updates are a rather new reality in detecting. I fully believe an update has the possibility of going wrong. I myself experienced this with my first update of the Equinox 800. I thought someone broke my detector. Flashed back and did a new install and everything was fine!
I do not think this is the norm. But is an issue that needs to be watched. I can fully understand how a detector may operate different on an update. But when it goes wrong like in the case of mine, it had nothing to do with new detector settings or modes.
I highly recommend someone is very into their machine before doing any updates. Otherwise, how do you really know the differences of the update? In July I opted not to update my Deus 2. I didn't think 4 or 5 times out with the machine after a layoff was enough time to be 100% up to speed and do an update. I will get that done when I am fully up to speed on the machine and can-do proper fringe depth testing after the update.- 5

The NOX 800 is washed up>>>> That's why I own three of them. Absolutely outstanding and fantastic!!! LOVE those 2 signals!!! Can't wait to start my winter season. Going to be at my beach for New Years and Easter for the first time [both]!!! Should be EPIC!!!

to me manticore is more sensitive than the equinox.. I don't know if 'more sensitive' is the right word.. the equinox can detect as same but the manticore will detect deeper especially on low conductor.
The Equinox is a great machine when it comes to small gold and chains. Our testing of the Manticore did in fact show it beat the Equinox on every target we tested. In some cases, the detectable depth on chains was double. The Manticore is a chain killer!

wasn't getting much until I hit an old brass clock mounting back. Then some more older bits and then, BAM, lighting struck! Not literally, but I hit a strong 93 and again, thinking it was a modern clad quarter,
Plenty of large non-ferrous targets. One would think there might be more there! Good Job.

I have found P12 to be the only fairly sensitive choice for broken bracelets and rings.
I cannot stand Beach Pitch. Never will use it again. Too many problems with wrap-around Iron tones.

Testing a broken gold bracelet of as much as 7 grams in the air, I noticed no greater depth, in fact, less signal strength (exactly what is expected of this program)...
Chains are a big part of my finds where I hunt. I would not be willing to do a program trade that has difficulty with chains.
