That's awesome, just awesome! 🙂 After a couple of weeks, you start to lose hope that it will ever be found 😢

Maybe they make more money by licensing other manufacturers to make the coils, instead of them having to tool up, invest in R&D, and have defective returned coils to pay for. Let someone else do the work and take some fees for letting them do it. They may be happy with just 3 of their coils to make and profit from, even though they are not available all at once.

Awesome hunt. Dollar coins are kinda rare for me. Never 2 in one hunt. My parents home had those old fuses in the basement. I think we called them cork fuses. You have that Deus dialed in nicely!!

Bummer on the bracelet, but that pendant is nice looking. Ring is pretty cool looking as well. Silver plated?

That's a great question. As to EMI, those videos I posted are right next to a huge transmission line. The machine barely ripples directly under the wires. Concerning beaches, note this from the owner's manual. "The Nexus Standard MP V3 is an Analogue Induction Balance (IB) metal detector that operates in the very low frequency (VLF) range and it is designed for use on all Inland Sites, Tidal Salt Water Beaches."
As it turns out, my bride informed me today that she is dragging me to the beach the first week of September. I plan to message Georgi for setup suggestions. I only have the 13", 5 kHz, DD coil right now. I have the 11.5 inch 24 kHz coil on order along with a dual 12" low frequency. I wish I had the high frequency for the beach trip, but I don't expect it by then.
Either way, I will report on my experience on the channel. I am not a beach hunter, so it should be interesting. Thanks for the information. I'd be interested in seeing if you can dig a very faint target in dry sand. That is what I usually hunt with the GPX, so and information on very faint (deep) targets and information on how well it does with EMI would be appreciated. Good luck when you get out there. At least the digging will be easier. You might want to bring a short handled spade just in case 😄

Awesome piece. That tarnished just like silver. Great unique find.

Thanks for posting the videos. I will be following your progress. The machine peaks my interest for beach hunting, but I always the worry how it would handle EMI. That is the big question. Beaches on the coast have a lot of radar and communications, along with energized train tracks to contend with. Did you get 2 coils or just the low frequency coil?

All I want from Nokta, Minelab or anyone else in a PI is - raw depth on a coin sized object. Combine that with decent EMI mitigation, and just beat my 5000 in depth and smoothness of tone. I can live without the minor discrimination of iron feature. Come to New England and test your unit side by side with my 5000. If yours wins, I will be the first one to root for you on line.

As phrunt said, vermeil is gold plated silver. Here's another description of the three types of gold plating for jewelry:
I've found a Vermeil necklace a couple of years ago. Mine was from Turkey and is marked 925 1/13 10k PGDA. But from what I briefly found by searching is that it is usually just marked 925. But in Turkey it may have been required to include the gold content. Further reading of a random jewelry site posted this brief description of plated vs filled vs Vermeil. Pretty much the same description that CPT_GhostLight posted.
Poor Quality - Gold Plated:
A base of either steel or brass (inferior base metals),
The piece is VERY quickly dipped in gold
The thin gold finish can wear off easily
Exposes the wearer to base metal allergies
Medium Quality - Gold Filled:
A base of either brass or copper
Outside made of sheets of 10+ karat gold
Doesn't wear off quite as easily as gold plated
Still potential for metal allergy with inferior base metal
Highest Quality - Gold Vermeil:
A base of high-quality sterling silver
A thick gold layer of at least 10k
Most of the time 14k-24k gold is used
Industry regulated gold thickness of no less than 2.5 microns (very thick).

Both nice finds. Usually if the chain is .925 but is gold in color it would say something else like 1/20 14 K .925. Make sure there are no other markings on it somewhere else. Nice looking finds.

Awesome ring. That has a lot of character to it. One of the nicest older rings I have seen.

You did good, especially if the significant other is happy 😄 I've been victim to running out of drinks when it's hot and humid like that. Things can go downhill fast. Nice to see the Deus is getting down deep on that sand. I bet heavy things are buried very deep there, probably beyond anyone's reach. But 6 days of beach hunting sounds like a dream to me 🥰

The new Pro-find better this deeper that, all they did was put a new dress on an old whore. Still has 9 v batteries. Do they really think we are going to buy that after the bull they fed us on these new detectors. I hate to say this but I think Minelab has started down a slippery slope and as I have said before I don't think its Minelab per se but Codan who seems more interested in profit than product.
I have to agree with you that the new Minelab is not like the old Minelab. Between the lack luster 6000 depth on coins (yes I bought it thinking it was a better 5000) not knowing they had changed to finding fly specs of gold, while eliminating the depth on coin size targets (but keeping the GPX lineage for sales of course), and now the Manticore (which is to be the next E Trac replacement?). The Manticore is way too fickle - one day it blasts out coins solidly, other days it struggles with black sand on the beach. Coins at 4-5" in dry (mixed black sand) give me unsure signals, or choppy iron signals. In some parks it's great on deep silver, other times the iron hits are so solid, I just walk away. I won't even consider the pin pointer. I just feel Minelab has a patting themselves on their back syndrome, because their technology is clever and exciting, but their execution of the finer details is missing. It's become a company that makes great machines that almost work great. 😄 It's almost like their technology is too hard for even them to get it just right, but they put it out there anyways. If that CTX replacement comes out, I won't be as excited as I was waiting for their Nox, 6000 and Manticore. It's never a good sign if people always return back to the Nox, or in my case the 5000. OK rant over 😬

I have a D2. I detect black sand beaches British Columbia ... similar to Washington coast I would think. Beach mode Sens 92, Reactivity 2. For a test I buried 2 gold rings 10 inches down and one silver, well spaced out. On the ground gold IDs at 62, silver at 90. Buried 10 inches down wet sand the D2 gives a high pitched response plus iron grunt for all three.. In other words dig everything it seems. I tried out all the factory settings and Beach was "quietest" . So my question is: Why not just use a PI (if I am digging everything) as I understand this tech works well in black sands but goes off on everything. I do point out that I only hunt beaches. So would a PI be a best bet for me as opposed to the D2. Thank you
A PI shines mostly when a beach has already been hit hard by others and there is at least moderate mineralization. Non mineralized soil and that D2 would be a better bet. But when there is mineralization, then the PI may be the answer. Time and energy are great factors in which machine you should choose. Health issues may limit your PI experience dramatically, although there are some PI's that are a better weight than the one I am using 😄 You can't fly down the beach with a PI, so consider that as well. But with ideal conditions the PI may get you more gold and silver than ever. For me that was when the beach was stripped of all but 20" of sand. Most machines could not hit that 16" -20" layer where all the old coins were at. On my PI they were whisper targets, but I could hear them. Digging them continuously was another story 😆....🤕 When in doubt, fine tune your D2 to the faintest target you can find before digging it up. That way you can get some discrimination in the mix and not dig nails at 12+".

Depth is vital to prospecting usage too. I use them primarily for bedrock cracks that can be 2"+ deep or where I have to chisel through hard stuff like caliche, to save time/chiseling. Also when I have a big coil on, it saves the time carrying a 2nd detector with me, so again depth is important. Once you get 2+ft, it gets real hard to keep widening the hole with a 17"-25" coil, and you want to dig just to the target and nothing more than that in hardpack like cement. It's also exponentially easier to nick a nugget that deep without a pointer too as you flail around with a pick trying to loosen stuff up however the pick can fit in the hole.
I can't believe no one has made a deep one for prospecting like 10 years back already. The purists were against them for a long time is partially why I think, but they save a ton of time if you use them in the right places. I can find and recover a nugget in about 50% the time usually as someone detecting the same spot without a pointer, unless the dirt is soft and easy to dig like in NNV.
The same principle holds true for us beach hunters as well. Once you are down 15", you really need a pinpointer to keep you on track. Plus in damper sands, the hole starts to collapse onto itself, so locating a target just before collapse, saves a lot of digging. If I get into situations where the soil is too mineralized, I can always use a lower sensitivity setting on the pin pointer.

Awesome recovery! I bet her daughter was shocked to get it back! You should have told her to buy some super glue and glue that ring to her daughter's finger 😅. Future problem solved!

I just watched the video. Was the distance 1" on that quarter with the new pinpointer? 🙄 Does anyone off hand know what the Garrett carrot does on a silver quarter? I bet it's more than 1"

Not interested at all. I have zero hope it would actually go deep enough for my liking.

If you are going to make a fake of something ... don't you say it is 14k or .925?
I would think legally, you would be better off not marking it and let people assume that it is precious. Price something very high, and people assume it's quality and precious. Not that manufacturers fault you didn't ask before buying 😅

Nice earring. Did you see the price tags for their earrings? 500.00 and up. Yikes. I'm guessing silver because that is what some of them are listed as.

Interesting seeing these issues with the 105's . I have no trouble charging mine , doesn't take long . When I disconnect the power from mine when fully charged about 50% of the time they then go onto WiFi search . At first I did not notice the little blue light was on , and still was the next day . Wondered why they went flat very quickly at the beach ! Now I always check and often have to turn the headphones off . Seems that we will see more of these issues over time .
Mine do the same. I now disconnect the headphones first, before pulling the plug from the wall. If I pull the plug from the wall first, they turn on and I have to shut them off, other wise they drain power.
