  1. Beach hunter, I received my confirmation & tracking number from Kellyco on 3/2/18 at 4:40am central time & received it on 3/3/18 at 11:40am central time by FedEx. Boy is that weird, just checked email to be sure. All it shows on tracking is where it left Knoxville on 3/2/18 & delivery time at my house on 3/3/18 at Columbia, Tn.
  2. Ricardoman, thanks, just got in from a band practice & have now got it together & now charging. I hope to get out tomorrow a little while but my wife is wanting me to visit my son & daughter in law. We will see how this goes. Bluegrass Man in Tennessee.
  3. Need to make a correction, it shows on packing slip I ordered on Oct. 12th. I'm getting old & senile. Sorry, Terry.
  4. You are not going to believe this, just got home from staying with my sick Mother. On the front porch was my equinox 800 that I pre-ordered on Nov. 12th from Kellyco. I was shocked but very happy. I hope everyone gets there's soon. Bluegrass Man in Tennessee.
  5. I pre-ordered Nov 12th from Kellyco. Just talked to my friend & he told me they had been receiving just six a week from Minelab. They were also told by Minelab today they would fill all pre-orders by end of March first of April. Keeping my fingers crossed. Bluegrass Man in Tennessee.
  6. I just received a email from KELLYCO today & they said they are receiving pre-order shipments from MINELAB at this time & I should receive a shipment notice soon. I ordered & paid on Nov. 12th. I just had a Margarita & celebrated. Bluegrass Man. P.S. I've really enjoyed all of the owner videos. I'm ready to put it to the ground.
  7. Yep, that's pretty sad. I e-mailed Kellyco this morning & asked if I might get mine this month? I have received no answer. Terry
  8. I've pre-ordered three metal detectors recently through Kellyco & another dealer & Kellyco is the only one I had to pay upfront. I' ve heard very little news from Kellyco on the minelab 800, which I had pre-ordered since Nov. 12th. I'm sure this will be the last thing I will purchase through Kellyco. Just a little disappointed in Tn. Terry.
  9. DARRYL , I was wrong I paid for mine early Nov. I was told they were waiting on shipment. I do hope we get a hat.
  10. Darryl, this is Terry(bluegrass man) pre-ordered mine & paid for it Oct. 12th. What about those? I wonder when I might get mine? A little anxious. Terry
  11. P.S. I'll start posting some pictures when I receive my long awaited Minelab Equinox 800. Bluegrass Man.
  12. Zoomie, just something that you will run into when you are hunting with any good detector. I was out at a civil war site detecting yesterday with my at max, with a Cors Strike coil. I had hunted the same trench with a thunder coil the day before & found 3 58 caliber three ringers & a general service eagle coat button. I hit a soft signal on the machine both ways but very little vid reading. Pushed pin point button & got a good soft sound also. Dug down bout 6 1/2 to 7 inches & turned up a nice general service eagle cuff button. It just shows you got to pay attention to those little squeaks & sounds. A little later I dug two fired enfields. I hunt those hunted out sites moving like a snail & bring a lot out of the ground. Some of the guys I hunt with say I look like a turtle moving. That's okay, I usually always find more. Good Hunting. Bluegrass Man.
  13. Thank's Mike, I pre-ordered my 800 Oct. 12th. I was hoping to get it this week. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer. I'll just take my Impact & At Max out today. Pretty nice in Middle Tn. lately. Bluegrass Man.
  14. Like I said, my metal detecting hobby started about 45 years ago. If memory serves me, my first real detector was a compass cue-to-1000. I believe it had a blue control box. Correct me if I'm wrong. I found my first seated half dime with that little detector but you had to dig a ton of stuff then. I've probably purchased over 20 detectors since then. When you've turned 65, you need all the help you can get. Just look at technology advancements from that little compass cue to the minelab equinox 800. That's why I want the equinox. Bluegrass Man
  15. Yep, Rock & Roll, then Country band & now been in a Bluegrass band 12yrs. I have been detecting bout as long as the music, 45 yrs. The family & grand kids are first though. P.S I met my wife playing music. She was singing with her Uncle in a country band. It's been a blessed life.
  16. P.S. the light weight also. I have arthritis in the right wrist
  17. By the way my wife just asked, how many guitars & metal detectors can a man own. I smiled & said as many as my lovely wife will let me purchase. I will try the Equinox where I have found great civil war finds & coins in iron infested sites that I have hunted with the Impact & At Max. I will post some of my finds. Hopefully starting next week. Alias Bluegrass Man.
  18. Welcome, a little story. This was years ago, I had just purchased a new white's detector. I received permission to hunt a civil war era house in Springhill, Tn. I started finding silver coins, indians, eagle buttons, & bullets. A dream hunt. Finding a lot of items, I gave Miss Shouse some of the spoils, which was the right thing to do. She was really excited. The next thing I know she is over my right shoulder with a flashlight. It was late in the evening getting dusty dark. I hit a soft silver signal on my machine that read in the quarter range. It was a 1910 quarter. Miss Shouse got really excited & said she wanted it. I needed it for my collection, it was a date I needed, so I decided not to let her have it. Words of wisdom, no matter how hard it is to give up the coin, give it to the property owner. I went back the next weekend to hunt, she refused. Miss Shouse said her son was getting a detector to hunt the property. I still wear the quarter around my neck as a reminder.
