  1. alexandre, i wasn't thinking of a AQ flop, i know it's a good machine i need, unfortunately i was thinking of a trade flop ...
  2. anyway, this is all too long. I think the hype is over, most of them have lost patience, others have learned that the discrimination part is more than minimal if not non-existent .. Steve sold his, gigmaster still uses his nox. and the few who remain learn that the price is prohibitive. To top it off, it's 2021 and still don't know if there's a release date. We also do not forget that we Europeans were unceremoniously excluded from the limit. I'm afraid this will all end in a flop
  3. it seems to me that it will be expensive for europe, since the prices are always higher than in the us. if it's 3000 € it's without me. € 2,500 would be the maximum.
  4. the problem is that if they still wait too long, they run the risk that another similar machine will be released beforehand from another manufacturer, or another star detector from the beaches at minelab. at this point, people who are already tired of waiting will rush out and lose interest and budget for aq. this strategy of silence and confidentiality on the part of fisher worked for a while, but making it long-term is a mistake, we can see that people have lost fear of interest. Fisher, for the sake of your business, we urge you to contact us without further delay!
  5. here is yet another broken ... I was earlier on the beach, I heard or felt a little noise, but with the wind, the rubber, the waves and the headphones I didn't pay attention to it. well two minutes later I had both coil ears broken ... so I assumed that the first little noise was the first coil ear which broke. I hope minelab will replace this for me for free. it's not normal because I don't over tighten, I clean regularly and I have already changed the gaskets and screws twice. Plus I never go surfing. it is therefore clear that this is a design flaw.
  7. thanks for those pictures joe. assuredly you made great hunts ! I don't quite understand the translation: dig deep targets only and jump shallows? how do you proceed? personally I have pulltabs which are from 0 to 3 meters deep ... see for example my hunt last night, this pulltab waste is typical here, it is so on almost all my beaches. . I remember a big storm that removed all the sand from a small beach, we were on the hard bottom and there were still plenty of those damn old pulltabs glued to the rock..
  8. we all agree on choosing the right tool for the conditions ... however, I don't forget that one of AQ's main advertising arguments was some iron discrimination ability. it would seem after reading the owners' reports except maybe the jag, that it's just a deeper PI 🤔.
  9. What do you mean by " is best used in combination with a vlf " ? Are you referring to cleaning the area first with vlf and then using AQ? it could be a problem if the area (even small) takes 2 or 3 days to clean up, in the meantime as you know it could be covered with a meter of sand. Anyway on the beaches I hunt, gold, whether it's surface, deep, recent or old, is almost always in trashy areas. (iron, aluminum ..)it could be complicated with this detector. However, I still want an AQ 😅 when Fisher decides to market outside the USA ... you who have hours on your QA, can you differentiate certain metals or targets? like the bobbie pin for example ?
  10. Hello have you seen this video ? Lot of iron ... I don't understand English very well, but I have the impression that he says that there is no variation in the audio. and that there is no double beep on the bobbie pin .it is sold to find under iron, but I see it only finds iron. 🤔
  11. the wait is very long. Will the final version be released after the 100 limited? or could the final version be released sooner?
  12. the final version of the AQ will come with this rod or a more suitable for tall people?
  13. well I understood that Alexandre said that these pulltab sound double beep 🤔. more by seeing your ratio pulltab round beaver tail and pulltab 8, I believed it. In Europe round pulltab are rare now. maybe you or another AQ owner can just try out several AQ settings on these pulltabs to see what we can do? thanks
  14. Okay so , would you say that the 8 double hole pulltab has a double beep sound with the AQ? even in all metal ?
  15. Steve , I do not know how it is on your beaches, but on mine the proportion of round pulltab (the old ones) is maybe 5 or 10% compared to the pulltab in 8 (modern with two holes). can we assume that you discriminate many who had a double beep signal? since we only see 5 on your photo and many more of the others.
  16. I would like if it is possible, in the same kind of video to hear the pulltab and the brown euro cents corroded or not . on the old pulltab there is no audio difference, but on the modern eight pulltab you confirm getting an audio difference of double beep?
  17. in the end what is the interest of the mute and tone modes? they seem almost anecdotal or even secondary since one might think that it is not really beginners who will use this detector.
  18. Although I do not know this white, this vdi so high surprised me ... out of curiosity , do you know the scale of euros with this white? I guess we obviously don’t lose them with AQ You have said in the past that the AQ does not discriminate red centimes euros, but what about when they are all corroded and swollen as it is in the sand?
  19. I don't know if I understood correctly, according to the table we lose the item number 16 with the AQ, it’s a common gold ring that we dont want loose it, did i misunderstand or can you explain ?
  20. Finally, I sent a message to Alexander, and he explained to me the reasons (which I will not disclose) for selling the limited only in the USA. so I can understand fisher for once. I got slightly carried away in a previous message under the blow of anger and disillusionment. Please excuse me i will wait the final product.. I remain attentive to the reports of the lucky ones who will have the first version. please don't come and test on the old continent😅🧐
  21. well let me say that i find all your congratulations "bravo rick, well done steve ..." indecent! it seems to see a small group of privileged people gargling with the disappointment of users outside the US. of course it is the fisher strategy that is to blame. It’s as if it would have been said, well the designer is French so it will only be sold a few units in France at half price and the rest of the world will have its "improved" version a year later twice as expensive. What would you have thought? Either we sell for everyone or we continue with confidential testers, this whole circus makes no sense. I do not dive and I can be content with 3h30 4h of battery. Are you serious to tell me that I cannot get this AQ after all this waiting?
