I think you have to be a social media personality with a lot of followers to be a tester these days 🙂

I hope the release of their PI's is not far off and we don't have a couple of year wait between the naming content and the release like with the Legend.  Even then it felt like the Legend came out the doors early because of the XP surprise release so it may have taken even longer if not for that.

They need to get it out quick while one competitor is being sold in Australia only and never has stock available, they can't keep up with demand at all and never once have they had a time since release you could just buy one off the shelf.   Unless they fix this, they're not a threat to anything as people waiting can easily just buy something else if it were to come out in the meantime.

Garretts been dropping pricing and becoming even more competitive too and they may have to take that further when the Nokta PI's come out.

Really excited for the PI's release, it's going to shake the market up and we will see more and more discountinng.

Phrunt you may not be in the USA but you’re just like family so you got my vote for a tester if they ask me.

It would be great to test the new Relic PI in Culpeper Virginia. I was involved in the testing and developement of The Whites TDI. I also Tested for Nokta's Gold Kruzer which I still have. Culpeper has some of the worst minerals on planet earth. I dont make videos anymore so It won't be me.

Well George with your background of what you said you tested in the past I’m surprised Nokta didn’t contact you again.

     The Best To You!

  3. I still believe we have a tester of the new Nokta gold PI detector are among us here on this forum. The PI relic detector tester he’s someone on the East Coast.

Where is the best place in the USA to nugget hunt and that’s in the western states of the USA. Where will you find the largest number of nugget hunters and that’s on this forum.

Time will let this cat out in the open maybe soon.

  4. According to what Nokta said their naming contest for their new two PI detectors will end the last day of April and it’s here.

Being the naming contest time was short just maybe it will be equally short time the two PI detectors will hit the market.

What we’ve seen before Nokta will under sell as they have in the past and I believe it will be the same with their gold and relic PI detectors.

I’m expecting a call from Nokta tomorrow letting me know on the naming contest that Chuck you didn’t win .haha

It would be great that someone on the forum here would win .

  5. Midalake I wish I could help you but I can’t but I’m sure someone on here can.

I just don’t understand it I’ve been detecting over 55 years now and I’ve yet broken off a ear off any coil over the years. The problem may be the coils have gotten bigger but the coil ears have not been made stronger. You can see on the picture he posted it’s no thicker than on a smaller coil.

  6. The last time I was texting Mr Gargov I ask him if he would discontinue the backpack and cut the price of the Tarsacci but his comeback was it’s free. I didn’t say more because I knew it was his way of saying no .

I found some info about Mr Gargov and some of his accomplishments and who he worked for over the years.

It said he worked for Fisher Research in Los Banos developing the Fisher ID,Fisher Gold Strike and the Fisher Coin Strike. It don’t say if he worked for First Texas when they bought out Fisher but I think he did before he went on his own to make the Tarsacci.

When he said the backpack was free I wanted to come back saying it’s nothing free in this world but no is no .

Maybe we need to start a rumor about something new coming out about the Tarsacci . If nothing else it would give us something to wish for and at the same time keep the Tarsacci forum alive.

Steve posted this to let me know that I was beating a dead horse and I’m at it again.

  7. Thanks Steve for posting the video and thank you JCR for your comment.

The downside is with a VLF machine is you just can’t swing a big coil like on a GPX and find small gold.

Just maybe the VLF will go bye the wayside like the BFO and we pickup our PI detector because it’s our go to machine for every type of detecting then .

When Nokta comes out with their PI detector let’s see how far into the future did we step .

  8. I have a Legend for a good while now but due to other issues I haven’t had the opportunity to nugget hunt with it.

I see talk about different coils for it to nugget hunt and I have about every coil that Nokta puts out for it but I don’t see any nuggets showing it can find them.

I see other detectors finding nuggets and the Legend is running parallel to other detectors In it’s capability but no gold.

Inquiring mine would like to know.

  9. Yes you got screwed are the shaft but now like a coin that has another side and its called a dealer that everyone buys from .

This no name dealer told me he had just received a shipment of 20 Manticores and now Minelab tells him you got to sell them at somewhat large reduced price. If you buy from him he’s always shipped free and that adds more to his loss. You can bet your sweet ass Minelab isn’t going to compensate him for his loss.

While we all are feeling sorry for ourselves I’m wondering now about who really pays when I ask for the 15% vet discount. The dealer has a price that he can sale you a detector set by Minelab. So you show proof and Minelab says sell it to him at the lesser amount. The way I see it the dealer took the hit for the 15% not Minelab.
I believe and I may be wrong but Minelab wasn’t letting the dealers have the detectors at a lesser price. So Minelab made the same profit sale are not.

The true person that benefited from this sale was one who didn’t have nothing to sale but just to buy.

My suggestion to this dealer was do like some dealers are doing and that’s drop ship from your wholesaler . You may make less profit bye doing so but you don’t have your money in such a large inventory.

  10. Doc

If possible could you post a picture of the box and if it don’t say what coil comes with it please do so .

People this was the number one nugget detector before the 6000 came out and in the right hands plus training it may be it’s equal .

Doc is offering this detector at a great price and you going to get that great Minelab warranty .

This detector is a legend in its own time but I say get training and you know who offers that so I don’t need to name them.

If a vet do check with Doc on that !

If Nokta is seriously talking about a PI detector then it’s got to be some testers that could be right here on this forum that we may be rubbing elbows with.

I think Nokta would be better off to name the two detectors themselves and get them out to the customer sooner than soon.

     Chuck

I really don’t know about who may be testing the relic detector here in the US but I’d say it’s someone on the east coast .
Now when it comes to that gold detector I do believe we have that person right here among us. So look around to see if you see someone smiling like a Chester Cat 🐱. They’ll be busting at the gut wanting to say something but have a gag order so they can’t.

We’ve known him in the past to be one and just maybe he’s one again .

     Chuck

  12. I find these test in a known factor like a test garden very interesting and it gives us the opportunity to learn more about what our detector is capable of.

In the field we have the unknown factor and what we detect we get but what we don’t we leave for another day are for someone else.

That’s why you never think you got it all because I can assure you that you didn’t .

Great videos and I thank you for going to the trouble of making them.

They call it a Gold/Relic detector but no mention of how it will perform on wet ocean sand. I guess the beach hunters will have to wait until someone buys one and actually tests it on the beach.

If waterproofing is the only reason then they are passing up a large percentage of potential buyers. As I've said many times, most beach hunters never submerse the detector and don't require it to be waterproof.

Waterproofing adds significantly to the cost. They should give us the choice of waterproof or water resistant.

They show and say two different detectors and a PI detector is the best for beach hunting. If they make both waterproof that’s even better for the water hunter.

When Whites came out with the TDI the first place I started hunting with it was on the beach in Ms . I never before dug so deep for a good target.

So if it comes out waterproof and a PI like Nokta said it’s a match made in Heaven for you.

  14. I just entered this naming contest for both detectors and I feel lucky tonight. I feel sure that will pass as quick as it came.

I do believe being this contest will end the last day of the month we may be seeing both detectors sooner than soon.

I do believe the price of both detectors will fall under 2 thousand ( That’s dollars) . I’ll go so far that the Relic PI detector will be less than 1200 and the PI gold detector under 1500 .
Something that Nokta is good at is having the capability of updates. I do believe we’ll see that here as well.

     I was right it did.haha

  15. If it’s going to take a year to name it and another year are more for it to hit the market then you just as well call it a day late and a dollar short . That’s what it’s going to be if it takes them as long as it did with the Legend.

You got two other companies if they wanted could have something at a lower price than what they have to offer now.  Sometimes profit comes in volume of sales of items. That’s when  you remold and repaint then sell it under a different name.

     We shall see.

  16. People where is it said you have got to do anything with them. It’s just a pleasure of having something that maybe no one else has.

I’m hoping after this storm is over I do hope all is pleased with what we got out the door of Garrett and not be just gas on our stomachs .

     Chuck

  17. JCR is right In you take them as they are are leave them where you found them. I’ve hunted with some odd balls and they may be thinking the same thing about me.

If someone is putting me on some good hunting ground I have the power to forgive a lot and forgive even more if it really a great spot.

  18. Strick

When I started detecting I didn’t buy another detector until it paid for it’s self and the next one . Now we have to have one for coins jewelry relic and a special one for the beach . Then we have others we got to have that will detect just maybe 1/2” more than the others I got.

Now we got pinpointers we never had before but we finding out one is a little better than another so we got to have it.

I must say I’ve gone down the same road buying more than I’ll ever need and use.

I went from a BFO to a TR and then a Eagle 2 . I knew each one so well I could almost tell you the date on that coin before I dug it up. That’s almost.

I traded the BFO but the TR and the Eagle 🦅 is still going strong today.

I started out with Whites and never had another until after I had the Eagle over 10 years.
