If you love paying sales tax then go order from some we have talked about in the past that know nothing about what they selling to you.

 We have Minelab dealers on here that been selling Minelab detectors for years and make a point like Gerry to know what he’s selling. Heck you don’t have to believe me because the proof is in the pictures that’s Gerry’s posted again and again.

 What Gerry just posted on the sale price of both detectors is a great thing for us the customer.

 You’re probably right on what you posted and it’s good for those who wanted that big coil plus needed a pinpointer.

 Now if Minelab would have ask me what I thought I’d been more for reduced price for the customer. That in my opinion would have given more that could afford both detectors and let those who have need for that larger coil are pinpointer could buy it.

 I guess tomorrow will tell the whole story and like Paul Harvey would say The Rest Of The Story.

 It’s said it’s coming from this young company that has their 35 year anniversary coming up called Minelab.

 A fair amount of us has dealings with this company in the past and we know we have to admit they’ve had some good shaker sales already but they promised this one will be the biggest ever.

 Gerry put us on to this sale a couple of days back and posted it had to do with the Manticore and the Equinox 900 but I guess he couldn’t tell us more maybe because Minelab had his lips sewed shut. I didn’t think anything was strong enough are big enough to plug that up . Did you?

 All I can say people tomorrow is the day we’ve all been waiting for 18th of April.

 To me at 35 years that’s a young company being come May I’ll be 83 . Heck they still got baby fat at that age.

 Minelab you’ve gave me some great times out there swinging them things you call metal detectors. I can’t say you’ve made me rich but wait it’s not over yet.

 When I started detecting I didn’t buy another detector until it paid for it’s self and the next one . Now we have to have one for coins jewelry relic and a special one for the beach . Then we have others we got to have that will detect just maybe 1/2” more than the others I got.

 Now we got pinpointers we never had before but we finding out one is a little better than another so we got to have it.

 I must say I’ve gone down the same road buying more than I’ll ever need and use.

 I went from a BFO to a TR and then a Eagle 2 . I knew each one so well I could almost tell you the date on that coin before I dug it up. That’s almost.

 I traded the BFO but the TR and the Eagle 🦅 is still going strong today.

 I started out with Whites and never had another until after I had the Eagle over 10 years.

I’m crossed between a Mississippian plus a Texan and I didn’t have any trouble understanding him. I just didn’t know what the Sam Hill he was talking about.

 Try listening to what he’s saying again and while doing so pat yourself on the head at the same time your butt . While doing this don’t switch hands.

 I can assure you this won’t help you understand him anymore but it will tell you what end is up and you won’t get turned around again.

PS I just downloaded it for my Extreme Hunter and I hope it’s not a problem for it .

If you have a bunch of feeders coming into that river you can be knee deep in water before you can get your equipment out. It will always come up faster than it will go down.

 I had a friend that lost his wife and two grandkids because of a river coming up on them before they could get out. They were sleeping in a cabin and it rained hard above them.

If anyone one has a interest in the Gold Monster 1000 and wants to get a head start on all you need to know before getting in the field then do a search for Bill Southern’s videos on it. He does a outstanding job on all his videos.

No I didn’t but in my opinion for what the gold monster is at its best is with the 5” coil. I just don’t see the need to spend the extra money for another coil if not going to be used . That 200 that I saved will get me and my puddle jumper all the way to nugget hunting land and back.

 I told my wife she may have to eat mayonnaise sandwiches for a while that’s if I was going to get another detector. Out of respect of everyone on the forum I won’t repeat what she said.

 The above statement in its self is a joke because the only thing she’s said was if you got the money buy it. I just make it a point not to say what it cost me .

 Motto to live by is don’t disturb a sleeping dog and that goes for your wife as well.

If Minelab didn’t move enough of the GPZ’s last month bye giving away a Gold Monster 1000 with it then just flip  the two for May’s sale. That way they’d move out all those old Battle Ships and have room for a newer lighter GPZ .

 I would like to see a reduced price on the GM 1000 . I had one when they first came out but like everything else I sold it.

 I’ve always told my kids it didn’t hurt to ask for something because the most I can say is no .

 One time I emailed Minelab and ask them for something but I’m not going to say what I was asking for. Like I told my kids but in this case I was asking Minelab. I guess it was about two weeks since I sent them the email and Rob call’s me saying Minelab said do it.

 I always thank Minelab for giving our vets that 15% discount and over the years I’ve taken advantage it more than I’d want my wife to know.

 When Whites came out with the TDI I had one of the first that came out their door .

 Later they made one you couldn’t adjust the pulse on it. It was fixed and at the same time the coil that was sold with it was not a dual field but looked the same. It had the coil wiring in the outside like what like you have. 
 I don’t have that detector anymore because I loaned it to a friend and haven’t seen friend are detector again.

 it’s just no more than a small coil working in harmony with the big outside coil, Just more sensitive to small targets than the outside coil That’s where they came up with the wording Dual Field coil.

Coils are like people in when they die out we look back saying it are they were great.

 I had some of the coils and I really liked with others I could do without.

 People are the important ones and only one of a kind.

If you got a winding on both then you have a dual field and that’s one great coil just because you have a big coil plus a small at the same time. You not having to change from one coil to another.

 The only trouble as we get older that coil gets heavy.

 Just remember if you sale too much at one time a big red flag 🚩 go up with your name on it for the IRS to see.

 If can if any of you are out there nugget hunting don’t go it alone. Bad guys are out there all the time but I think more so when gold makes a jump in price like now.

To check to see what you have use a Pinpointer and check the center coil to see if it has a winding in it . If so then that one is a dual field coil.
