You ever find every coin in one hole ? I did one time. The place was in a park and you would find lovers laying on this slope watching the water that went by.haha Anyway I dug every coin we have in the US other than a silver dollar out of that one hole. That was my first and last. Chuck

You post of any finds are just a story you want to tell. My first. When out nugget hunting and you come across a dozer working look for the dirt that drops off the tracks. It looks like a small loaf of bread. That loaf of bread you want to detect if in gold country because wet dirt and gold gets pickup in them. I found two nice nuggets in some of the same. One was over two grams and the other was a little under. Chuck

Steve Your right this thread was about White's firmware update. I'd say we can ask each other about firmware update but tell me why we don't ask the ones in the know. White's should know being they have been doing it to make detectors like the one I got better. I know on some detectors it shows it when you turn it on and gives a number like 4.0. With White's we know the SAT went from 6 to 8 on the MXS but beyond that who knows. Ah White's ! I need to open a post mark Bear story only.If you want to know how to spell it will it's b u l l ! Hey John and Terry Oh I love those different tones. Your ears may be half of the detecting because of the tone each target puts out. I remember the day when you had one tone no ID and you dug all. It was a lot of work back then but found more rings. Here I go again giving credit where credit is due. Not one time did the people at White's tell me to go fly a kite. No company is in business for their health and I know it was no profit made off this detector. I was told forget about the cost lets get this problem fix for you and for others that may have the same problem. Story telling time. I have a swimming pool that has a gravel bottom that I could hunt years ago. Well I know I have found over 70 rings and around 3 hundred dollars in coins out of it.. Back then they didn't have a fence around it. Oh I've been back but the last time they were thinking about putting me in jail. I didn't have a waterproof detector then. So if you don't hear from me for a while I may be a on a little vacation. haha Now think about this. The last time I could really get in there and hunt was back in the late 70's. Think about all the rings and coins is there now. Would you like to go to jail with me? haha Chuck

Terry You would think if a detector company makes a waterproof unit they should know it needs a lighting rod. I also need to drag a chain on one leg so the lighting can go to ground.. Being retired is beyond words. I've been at it since June 2001 and never looked back. My only problem was my wife thinking I retired to work on our home. The only thing I do believe time goes faster when retired but like said it's great. The Best ! Chuck

John Between me planing a trip and all the rain we've been getting here it's hard to get any testing done' Right now it's been raining so much but come July everything will be burning up and then where is the rain. With the detecting I've done so far the MX Sport for me is working great. The only problem I'm having is I need to forget what my Eagle 2 done for me over 20 years and think only of the MX Sport. I'll tell you one thing and that is plan on digging deeper. I'll get back with you when I learn more of the in and out of the MX Sport. That trip won't be until the end of June but going to use the MX Sport for some prospecting too. Want to see what the 6 x 10 coil can do are not do nugget hunting. Got other detectors for that job but like show and tell.haha Till Then Chuck

Rico If you spend a lot of time coin hunting you may want the 9.5 concentric coil. I'm not saying it's better than the 10 in. DD coil but the other works for me in the not so hot ground. I'd like even a smaller coil about 6 to 7 inches. I'd want it to be a concentric coil. Now that MX Sport is one hot detector and I find you don't need to run the sensitivity at the top end. I myself find it has great depth with the sen. set at 5. Don't get me wrong you can run it at the top but I just see no need to do so . That firmware update just made the MX Sport a complete new machine. Now that's my opinion. Chuck

Tom You have been the guy we've made contact with so that makes you Mr. White's Electronics. I don't hear are see another person. I only know your the one from White's that I was dealing with but it's good to hear about the others behind the seen. I know a company don't run on just one person but being your the one up front it lands on the shoulders of you. Have a good trip and above all be safe. I too am looking forward to a long trip at the end of June with my MX Sport, SPP and GMZ. Just maybe another one are two. I'll have to leave one to hold up the wall. The Best to you Chuck

That thing is finer than frog hair. We all pay a lot more for a detector so why not spend 455 on a camera.. Thanks for posting but I'm not sure just where it will be put on my wish list. Here I'm going to have lunch with my oldest son for my birthday last week and I got this info too late.haha I guess you can't win them all. Chuck

Like you if one can think it you will see it in time. Minelab Go Find you can view what detecting on your smart phone i n real time. You wanting something high tech and all I'm wanting is a digging arm on my detector. Chuck

Terry I am thankful for having Tom in my corner but myself standing alone it's no telling how long it could have been. Old saying Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Some may not know this but you tell a horse age by it's teeth.. Chuck

Well sit back because today you will get the rest of the story. Now mark this down being it all happen this week. On Tuesday Tom at White's Tells me he will ship my MX Sport out that day with UPS using 2 day air. What can I say but thank you. I get a e mail from UPS saying they have 2 boxes for me and I'll get it Thursday. I didn't early say anything about the other box that White's was going to send me that had the 9.5 concentric coil in it.I wanted them to just exchange it for 10 DD but Tom said no we'll just give it to you. Being as humble as I am I said thank you again. I waited all day for my detector to come and at 7:45 in the evening it was here. No No No I was wrong I just had one box but not the one with mt MX Sport. You may think that Superman is fast but he is nothing on leaving your house as a UPS Guy is. UPS was gone and even my wife look at the box asking is your detector in that small box.. Right away I get a number for UPS. Well I call them and believe this are not but they tell me White's put a stop on the box say # 1. They didn't know why other than White's wanted it back. .That Thursday I PM Tom and told him what UPS said and I gave his my cell number too. The next morning little after 10 Texas time I get a call from Tom. He too couldn't believe it. This time he was eating humble pie telling me how sorry he was. I told him he didn't do it but I'd like to know who and why. We talk again on Friday and he said it would take too long to get my detector back and reship it. He told me that he would over night a new MX Sport to me. Well it was my time to eat humble pie and again I said thank you. Here it is 10 AM Saturday and my door bell rings. I walk out and of all things the UPS guy was still sitting there but by my door was brand new MX Sport metal detector. Don't never say it's not a God are White's Electronics and above all I want to remember how TOM made it all happen. In the other box was the concentric coil a black bag to carry it all in. I also had the 6 x 10 coil and a MX Sport cap. I ask Tom about the 6 x 10 being I have one already and said I can do with what I want. Well I'll tell you right now it will go back and the extra headphones too. I got the extra shaft with this detector but I think I've been humble enough.Haha Your right it's not going back. I took out two sports that was me and my MX Sport detecting. I wanted to go to this school ground but a ball game was going on. I hunted a short time at another school in front and the first thing I got a hit on was a quarter the next was a penny. The MX Sport ran smooth and you need to be ready to dig deeper than ever before. I need more time detecting but just on the little I seen today I can't help but like it.. This has been a trip but thanks to people like Tom who works at White's all is well at Chuck's house. Chuck . .

Danny & Johnny Sometime back Steve H. said when he was a dealer a detector didn't leave his hands unless he check it first. You won't find that done too much today. The reason is they put too much faith in the company they a dealer for. You will find some dealers that will go out of their way to make it right for a customer . Then they them self will deal with the detector company. At the same time a person like myself has more help from a company to make my trouble with one of their detectors right. What I was told forget about the cost we need to find the problem and fix it for you. To keep a detector and then stop payment on didn't hurt the company but a hard blow to the dealer. The detector company is the one telling you if you buy from us we'll give a 2 year warranty. The trouble is they just don't say how much bull that comes with that warranty. Chuck PS I need to give credit where credit is due. White's is the latest one company I've been dealing with and that detector a MX Sport is on the way back to me now. The other company is Nokta and they too made it right. If you want to know the meaning of right. A company won't stop until they have a smile back on your face. They know then you'll be back as a customer again and again. .

AU_Solitude We got treasure like that on Texas Coast but the State of Texas has it block so you can't get it. I know just where the ships lay and how many but if they catch you there with a detector your butt is grass and theirs is a lawn mower. I'm sure it may be some to hunt that area along the beach after a storm but that's a guess. Chuck

Condor I've had the SDC and I know it's a great detector. If like you say about Minelab sending you another I'd get that one you got now in. I wouldn't wait a day on doing it. You'd think they would want to repair it but again I'd take a new one. Hope in all comes out in your favor. Chuck

Well got a notice that UPS has got my detector and it's on the way by 2 day air. They show it should be here on this Thursday. It will be good to get it back home. This detector got more time on the road than I have in a long time. A thanks to White's ,Tyler and Tom for all they've done. What's being ship in coming in two package and I know it only take one for the detector. They said I was going to get the 9.5 concentric coil free for my trouble. I wait for that coil with great interest on seeing just how well it runs on the MX Sport. I don't have any Oak tree but I may run a yellow ribbon around the tree I got to welcome it home. I'll post later on my thinking on working with the different coils and the one I like best. Till Then Chuck

Tom I was having trouble to get the video to run but I got it going.Thanks Terry & John Yes I will be glad to get it back and get out to use it. i'd really like to know if it had trouble are was it short between the headsets on my end. A question to all. Have you ever got a call from a detector company and their engineer wanting to talk with you on trouble you've had with their detector. Well at my time a little after 8 PM last night I got just that call. It was Tyler just wanting to ask some direct question on the problems I've been having on the MX Sport. Of all things my cell battery was low but we made it. I did call him this morning to answer a question that I couldn't remember at that time. Right now if White's put out a broom handle calling it a detector *I'd have to buy it. I can't say for sure but I may have to send it back for a firmware update. Another thing he said that he would make a video of my detector to see if I could see are hear a problem. Mark this down who is taking care of us after the sale. I have two names White's and Nokta. I'm finding out no matter the cost they won't stop until they make it right. Chuck

Terry Sometime things are people can make you happy. I'm not going to say the MX Sport will do that. I do hope the MX Sport and myself working together will make it happen. I can't put a time on this but I'll will be giving it my best. So until then I wish both of us the best of luck with our detectors. Chuck

Terry In the pass I've had Minelab coin detectors and I find them to be great detectors. I really can't say why I didn't stay with them but I didn't. I too have looked at the CTX and it looks great. I don't think the cost is the issue for me but more it has to do with the weight. I know I got the MX Sport and I'm not sure just how long it will work for me because of it's weight. I'm just not as young and strong as times past. I'd never came too mind that as time went by a pound on a detector would put me down.That is what we call life. The thing is I'm still waking up on the green side of the grass and I'll push this issue until somebody calls saying it's time to come home. Even then you'll see two black marks with me dragging my feet. I love detecting that much. Chuck
