Whites MX Sport Waterproof Metal Detector
Ridge Runner replied to Rick K - First Member's topic in White's Metal Detectors
Khouse I thank you for all you posted on the MX Sport. I don't think it's necessary it detect a dime at 12 inches. It may be coins that deep but I just want a true ID at 9 inches. I know all detectors are never right all the time on their ID. Another person I'd like to hear from is Digger Bob. I know he's a dealer for White's but I do believe he will tell it as it is. Please khouse come often and let us hear more on your MXS. Chuck -

Whites MX Sport Prospecting Mode For All Uses
Ridge Runner replied to a topic in White's Metal Detectors
I went back to my Lost Treasure mag. to read what Andy Sabisch said about the MX Sport again. I've always said swing your coil low and slow and that's what I done rereading his report. The main thing I read is the stock coil may have it's place but not necessary the best one to have a more true ID. The 6 x 10 DD elliptical and the 9.5 concentric coil would be more inline for us coin hunters. White's I know likes to send out their detectors with the large coils. Most people that coin hunt know they will need a smaller coil and they do what White's wants. They buy one. Here you put out a large sum of money to buy the detector and yet it's not complete. You can't tell me a company like White's don't know this. I've said this before that I don't want it free but offer it at the time I buy the detector. I don't want to be detecting later and find out the coil is not doing the job for me. Then have to sit and wait to get the one I needed in the first place. Why does it take a company out of the US to do it right the first time! Chuck . -
Whites MX Sport Prospecting Mode For All Uses
Ridge Runner replied to a topic in White's Metal Detectors
My interest is more on the side of coin hunting with this MX Sport. When you coin hunt in a high trash area the last thing you need is a big hoop.( coil ) The ID you got on that detector is working overtime wanting to be right on what it says. You can have as many as three targets under that large coil at one time if not more. To me I want that small coil at the same time when I receive the detector. But as sure as the Sun will come up most detectors come with that big coil. I'm willing to pay the extra money if they will just add it right away if one wants. Two things I'd like with my detector is a stand plus a small coil.. Oh please if anyone is out there hunting coins will you come on here and let us hear from you. I will forever thank you. Chuck -

Nokta New Relic Detector
Ridge Runner replied to Ridge Runner's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
A young new detector company that comes to the US to get American dollars don't need anything negative. The trouble with negative it will hang in the air longer than whatever positive can be said about their product. Yes I did have trouble with my Nokta fors gold plus out of the box and the problem was in the control box. The service from Nokta was outstanding and they didn't stop until it was corrected. The Best to Makro and Nokta Chuck -
Average Ratio Of Trash To Gold ?
Ridge Runner replied to Au4Gold2's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
AuWanderer What i'm about to tell you is the norm too many times. I hunted hard for two weeks around Rich Hill and not one nugget did i have to show . I couldn't whole all the trash I dug up in both hands in the form of a cup. This is not counting the big trash that I'd put in my bag. For me it's always been more trash found when nugget hunting. I've dug lots of trash coin hunting but not as near as bad as the other. In coin hunting people had a trash dump in one place most of the time. The old prospector has his trash dump but the location was depending on what door are window was open at the time. For the cabins that didn't have a window also didn't have but one door and the front yard is where it went. If you don't find lots of trash where nugget hunting then someone has been there before you. The less of it are none at all the guy before was good at what he was doing. I'm not saying move on but thank them if you do find something. It's been times I had to clear out the trash to detect the coins. The times I'm talk about is long before you had any kind of ID coin detector. Chuck -
Nokta New Relic Detector
Ridge Runner replied to Ridge Runner's topic in Nokta / Makro Metal Detectors
Well what I said about great machines is true. Chuck -
On MD-Blog it shows a shadow of a detector that looks like the Nokta fors gold. It's being called Nokta fors relic for 2016. The Nokta and Makro detectors are coming out of nowhere. You just say what you need and they will make it for you. That detector don't come out as a after thought but as a top notch machine. Nokta as I get older I need one with a digging arm.Haha The Best Nokta Chuck

Whites MX Sport Waterproof Metal Detector

Hey Digger That's great that sales for the MXS is outstanding. With it going that way we should be hearing soon of reports coming from the field. The best test is the ones coming from the buyers with their show and tell. The Best Digger. Chuck. -
I do like the handles on the classifier and most do come with half inch hole in it. On the pan I've got more than I need but one can put one on your head if in the rain. I too started out with a metal pan because that's all we had at the time. I myself don't care to use the big bottom pan but this is a each his own on what one likes. If the price is 39.95 I may have to buy the kit. Pans is like detectors with me and that is I don't have one. I've got them in green, blue. black and I've seen them in pink but I'll leave the seen at that.Haha Chuck

The video on the two detectors shows that the Gold Racer is great on gold. Would the Racer 2 be any better on a small gold ring ? I'm wanting a coin and jewelry detector but I don't see this video help me make that decision. Keith I've always enjoyed every video you made. I look forward to any others you make in the future. Thank you for your time doing them. Chuck

Hey Bowwinkles I see it's your first post. I welcome you and come back often. I'm one that want to see more of it. I'm just wondering if White's will offer a package with it. But only the powers that be know. Thanks for the heads up. Chuck -
I was reading over again about the MX Sport in Lost Treasure written by Andy. On the MX Sport Andy didn't have a 100 % to say on it. On any detector we will have some positive and negative thing to say about it . What is trouble for one is not for another. I think this wholes true for us all. It's a old saying if you live in a glass house you shouldn't throw rocks. Maybe it would be best if we take a look at ones self before we pickup a negative word. I think all of us want the detector companies to listen to us. Like when I posted on here my new out of the box Nokta Gold Plus was not working. I just posted I needed help bad and Nokta was here. It did help I knew they posted on here all the time. The main thing they were there more than willing to make it right. I'm no saint being Steve just had to removed something said between me and another guy. Like me I forget what I'm saying is here for all to read. I just need to remember what I say is here for all ears to read. Nothing private be positive are negative. Chuck

Hi Klunkler Have you had a talk with the powers that be ? I'd be ringing Minelab's door bell until they wanted to listen..They have a great detector but small things come up like the coil cover. If I buy a car it has a bumper to bumper warranty for a set time. If you have a two are more years warranty I'd say it should whole true for my detector too. Now if replace one thing on your detector and here you back again next month. Just maybe you have reach my limit of what I'll do for you. Call them. Chuck
