Hey Steve Thanks for your reply. I have other detectors that will punch a hole in the ground a lot deeper that the Go Find. I have other reasons for wanting it. I hate to say this but age is starting to kick in and less weight will help. Thank you for your reply again Steve. Chuck Anders

I've got the Go Find 60 on order from Az. Outback. I don't think it's a video left that I haven't seen on the Go Find. At one time if we got a new detector you really didn't know much about it before hand. Time has changed as man goes beyond of being blind on his purchase anymore. I thank you ahead of time on what you may post. Any info we can get helps us all.I'll do the same and this will make us all a Pro with the Go Find. Chuck Anders

Hi Nugget65 Great looking gold you found. You and others are proving that Fors Gold is more than just the name in finding gold. Here we are with a detector from another country that's a hit when we get our hands on it. I wonder how many more is out there waiting to be discovered and like the Fors Gold at a great price. That story about this guy and his treasure was in a back issues of Lost Treasure. I guess that's one way to make money off the sale of his book. He could always go pick up the treasure. This fits a joke. This guy had loan a mule to a friend. One day he told the friend he wanted his mule back that he was going to raffle it off. The friend said I have bad news. That was the mule had died last night. The owner said I want my mule back anyway.The friend said you can't raffle off a dead mule. The owner said I sure can. The owner of the mule had raffle tickets made. The friend ask will how did your raffle go.Well I sold 500 tickets at 2 dollars each. The cost of printing the tickets was 198.oo. What did the winner say went he found out that the mule was dead? Well he wanted his money back and I gave it back to him. With the cost of the tickets and giving his money back I still made 800.00 Maybe this treasure hunt could be the same HaHa Chuck Anders

sjmpainter You didn't say what detector you want this for. It's just some detectors have a long run time on a 9 volt battery than others. If you have a Harbor freight near you they have what you need cheap. Northern Tools has just good batteries with their name on them . I've found they have a long run time. I guess the best thing is look at the mah like I do on the AA batteries and they can go up too 3000 mah. The more it has the longer run time in your detector. Best of luck. Chuck Anders

John What you have been told and read is not always true. I look yesterday on line and with the stock number I went to the store. On line it showed the batteries were 2650 mah but at the store they were 2400 mah. I have some others on charge now. I do believe the only way to get higher voltage is use regular batteries of a good quality. The down side is they don't have much of a run time. The last time out I'd had some batteries that read 1.6 volts but the run time was very short. I was spending more money on batteries than finding gold. I guess so what else is new. Two steps forward and one back but on we go.HaHa Chuck

John Don't feel bad I've found so many people say don't buy. Now if I can get some with a run time of six hours then that equals my run time.Haha I'm going to check with Harbor freight to see what their recharge AA batteries are. They are cheap and reviews not bad. Don't cost much to try them. Better luck to you today than yesterday. Chuck

John I have yet to find any 2900 mah batteries. I'm talking from any local store but I can get them on line. One local store had some that were 2850 mah but at three times the price. You may know that they do make a 3000 mah aa battery. I'll get back with you after I get them in and charged up Take care. Chuck

I just can't believe how much money I've flush away over my 73 years. Oh the stock will come out Monday at one dollar a share. You will receive your stock written on one sheet of toilet paper. John I'd checked a electronics store yesterday but they didn't have the batteries that you had talk about. I'm going tomorrow to a store that sales only batteries and they should . I'll post the outcome after a full charge. Chuck Anders

Hey John Well I got it done this morning thanks to your help. The only thing I done different was cut out the main pack so the single AA holder would fit in it. Then used supper glue to hold it in place. The cover slides on okay and it fits in the charger without trouble. You just got to make sure the AA holder is flush on the back side of the battery pack. Hi John Thanks for taking your time to post and posting your pictures too. I myself have the SPP and had been looking at doing something for more run time. Then here you come to save the day. I've done taken a look on what I need to do. So simple fix when someone already done it. Nothing like show and tell. Chuck Anders

Sometimes the coil is no better than the detector pushing it. I've got the Eagle 2 from White's back in the early 90's and it stills has more depth than what your talking about. Just maybe you got trouble with your detector that you just can't see are hear. The Best to you. Chuck Anders

Steve I don't remember who sold this but it was not White's. After all he went back to watching the Meter on his 66 TR. The only bad thing about him was being he couldn't hear he'd open the back of his Ford and throw that detector in. That is neat that you still have the light. Steve time is getting away from us. Steve Back in the early seventies I had a dealership with White's. You could get a vibrator that plug into the speaker and like a watch it fit on your our wrist. You could get one that had a light on it that also plug into the speaker. I had looked into this because I hunted with a guy that couldn't speak or hear. That was odd going all day not saying a word. He didn't want to write anything down. You had to get it over with your hands are not at all. White's didn't at first have a plus for headphones but I remember putting them in. Chuck Anders

Steve and Azblackbird With all the talk on detectors that are VLF with the ID numbering system I had to pull my Eagle 2 out. I'd tested this small rice size you could almost call a nugget. Now dig this. My Gold Bug Pro and the GMZ couldn't detect it. The Eagle 2 Has a prospect mode so I put it on that and it detected that nugget at 3/4 inch. Now how about that using a 6 inch coil on the Eagle. Az the White's Eagle 2 came out in about 1991 but a short time before was the Eagle. This is the only time I know of that White's offered a chip for 125.00 to make your Eagle to a Eagle 2. Oh the nugget I was testing with came from White's I believe in 1972 when they came out with the Goldmaster 66 TR. I'd got the 66 TR and in this plastic case I had three small gold nuggets I've given two away to friends so I'm down to one. Chuck Anders

Steve Have you tested the 8 inch coil of the ATX on very small gold that the SDC can detect ? The small coil in the center of 12 inch coil of the ATX may be hot but is 8 to 8 the same ? If the 8 inch of the ATX is also hot on small gold then I wouldn't want to be swinging the big coil all day. Now just in case it's not then I'll need to save more for what's better and that would be the SDC. I do like the size of the 8 inch coil. Being it will give you a fair range of detecting. Chuck Anders
