  1. I'd be happy if White's done what Steve said and that is give us a discount at the time we buy for any option items.. At the same time don't be in a rush to get the detector on the market if you can't back it up with the option equipment. You know little things like coils and waterproof headphones to go with that detector that should be too. Khouse I shouldn't have to temp fix what White's should have had available to start. I just hope your headphones don't pop off and go for a swim.
  2. I don't know but at one time I got the Garrett Searcher every time it came out. I always enjoyed seeing all the great finds people made. It has been a while from my last buy from them. That could be the reason. What can I say but that's life. Chuck
  3. LipCa I too dig all the foil at one time. I think as I get older my legs are getting longer. I find the ground is not as near as when I was young. Chuck
  4. Steve you said a mouth full when you said the opts is not out yet. The dealer didn't know the price or when the coil I wanted would be out. On the video White's showed all the MXS lined up but that's all you see. If I buy something I want it to come all at one time. This is like buying a car you get the body and the wheels may come in two weeks. Oh the motor is a opt too. Now I'm going to sell you a waterproof metal detector but you can't play in the water. Waterproof headphones and wheels are about the same being it's not complete without them. I understand I need to buy the extra coils but why should I have to buy the headphones to make the waterproof part of the detector whole. If this runs up the cost of the product then charge it. Just don't do it half way. Chuck
  5. Goldbrick That was a great video with the gold coins. With our high tech detectors we may have advance to the rear. I know myself I found more gold rings from detectors past than I do now. Like nugget hunting you had to dig all if you wanted to find out what it was. I don't know why but foil will sing out more than a coin would. This was in a time when it was no such thing as a pinpointer. I'm one that believes you can't own enough detectors. Chuck
  6. Well at this time I've put my name in the pot from Digger Bob to get the MXS as soon as the 6 x 10 coils come in. I'd had plan on being at the GPAA gold show this weekend but Rob said he didn't know just when he'd have the Racer 2. I guess I could have gone and seen the MXS but I wanted it anyway because it can swim. Chuck
  7. Steve I know the Racer shows only the numbers but every video has never shown that. Along the top of the face it shows the possibility with the ID number of what the target is. I keep asking the same thing and that's show me what the detector shows on the screen. This at the same time the detector sounds off. Just show me what each coin reads and I'll be happy. If a dime just say it shows a coin and the ID number is 79. I'll take them at their word if they don't show the screen. Over time I will learn what each number may be give are take unseen factors. Chuck
  8. I just watch another video doing a air test on the Racer 2 and they had some American coins. They also had a camera on the screen they showed at first But when they started the test not one time did they show what the ID showed. This is on the MD-Hunter Blog, I too would be concern about moisture. Makro Nokta are very good about correcting a problem you may have. Chuck
  9. Did I not see on the MXS under the ID number a abbreviated spelling of the value of the target that the detector says it is ? I can see that the Racer 2 is doing a great on what I can see and hear. But again you don't see what the ID numbers are. It don't have to tell me hey Chuck it a nail are a coin. Just show me one time what that big screen and numbers show. Be it a air test are in ground test this is never shown. Could it be that the detector is showing something else other than what's in the ground. All I want to know is the ID number correct on what's in the ground. Is this asking too much ? Chuck
  10. What I see about the Makro Racer 2 is it will detect very deep. That part I do like. The thing I'm not seeing is what the ID says. Just maybe I don't want to dig that what ever it is. Show me the ID each time and use American coins and some beer bottle caps made in the US. This will tell me just how accurate the ID is. The show and tell is always with coins other than one nail and all in their own hole. It's a ID detector so please show it. Chuck
  11. Khouse I thank you for all you posted on the MX Sport. I don't think it's necessary it detect a dime at 12 inches. It may be coins that deep but I just want a true ID at 9 inches. I know all detectors are never right all the time on their ID. Another person I'd like to hear from is Digger Bob. I know he's a dealer for White's but I do believe he will tell it as it is. Please khouse come often and let us hear more on your MXS. Chuck
  12. I was just joking around. I don't know of the two I want that all the talk has been about. I can live without either. Chuck
  13. Hey Saving the Past I too welcome you. We will roll out the red carpet to hear from you on the Racer 2. The best to you on your new detector. Chuck
  14. I went back to my Lost Treasure mag. to read what Andy Sabisch said about the MX Sport again. I've always said swing your coil low and slow and that's what I done rereading his report. The main thing I read is the stock coil may have it's place but not necessary the best one to have a more true ID. The 6 x 10 DD elliptical and the 9.5 concentric coil would be more inline for us coin hunters. White's I know likes to send out their detectors with the large coils. Most people that coin hunt know they will need a smaller coil and they do what White's wants. They buy one. Here you put out a large sum of money to buy the detector and yet it's not complete. You can't tell me a company like White's don't know this. I've said this before that I don't want it free but offer it at the time I buy the detector. I don't want to be detecting later and find out the coil is not doing the job for me. Then have to sit and wait to get the one I needed in the first place. Why does it take a company out of the US to do it right the first time! Chuck .
  15. My interest is more on the side of coin hunting with this MX Sport. When you coin hunt in a high trash area the last thing you need is a big hoop.( coil ) The ID you got on that detector is working overtime wanting to be right on what it says. You can have as many as three targets under that large coil at one time if not more. To me I want that small coil at the same time when I receive the detector. But as sure as the Sun will come up most detectors come with that big coil. I'm willing to pay the extra money if they will just add it right away if one wants. Two things I'd like with my detector is a stand plus a small coil.. Oh please if anyone is out there hunting coins will you come on here and let us hear from you. I will forever thank you. Chuck
  16. I go back to watch them and they are gone. Chuck PS Well I went back and found it. The one I was interested in is by Keith Southern . It's a air test on the Racer 2. It may have been on here but I haven't seen it..
  17. There is two are more videos on the MD-hunter blog on the Racer 2 that I know I haven't seen. I wish someone would move them over to here. I'm just short on how to do it. Chuck
  18. I ask Rob if he would have the Racer 2 at the gold show next weekend and he said no. He had been asking about it but nothing so far. He will have the Racer and the Gold Racer if one wants. Chuck
  19. Chris on Azoutback forum is a dealer for Nokta and talking about the AU gold. He said he has been testing it this past winter. Chuck
  20. Now I know why so many people run red lights. Then the next time they'll sit through the green one. Chuck
  21. Hexx Thanks for posting the video. I'm looking forward of seeing more. Chuck
  22. A young new detector company that comes to the US to get American dollars don't need anything negative. The trouble with negative it will hang in the air longer than whatever positive can be said about their product. Yes I did have trouble with my Nokta fors gold plus out of the box and the problem was in the control box. The service from Nokta was outstanding and they didn't stop until it was corrected. The Best to Makro and Nokta Chuck
  23. AuWanderer What i'm about to tell you is the norm too many times. I hunted hard for two weeks around Rich Hill and not one nugget did i have to show . I couldn't whole all the trash I dug up in both hands in the form of a cup. This is not counting the big trash that I'd put in my bag. For me it's always been more trash found when nugget hunting. I've dug lots of trash coin hunting but not as near as bad as the other. In coin hunting people had a trash dump in one place most of the time. The old prospector has his trash dump but the location was depending on what door are window was open at the time. For the cabins that didn't have a window also didn't have but one door and the front yard is where it went. If you don't find lots of trash where nugget hunting then someone has been there before you. The less of it are none at all the guy before was good at what he was doing. I'm not saying move on but thank them if you do find something. It's been times I had to clear out the trash to detect the coins. The times I'm talk about is long before you had any kind of ID coin detector. Chuck
