Minelab Manticore Update Today (oct. 18th. 2022)
Ridge Runner replied to Gerry in Idaho's topic in Minelab Manticore Forum
That could be a good thing are a bad . Like you being you spend lots of time on one you may have to pay us to take it off your hand. The warranty is not in years anymore. It will have a pace meter so every time you swing it the meter clicks. Then after so many clicks your warranty is out. Gerry in 6 months I’ll let you pay me to take that Manticore off your hands. I’ll let you down easy. We’ll discuss what’s easy then. Chuck PS I’m just all heart ❤️ -
Kaolin washer I was a breath away from selling my ORX due to the fact I’ve left it sitting in the corner for a while. Due to your post about how great the ORX is and knowing for myself how true that is I’m not selling it. I say thanks Kaolin washer ! Chuck

Minelab Manticore Update Today (oct. 18th. 2022)
Ridge Runner replied to Gerry in Idaho's topic in Minelab Manticore Forum
For what my opinion is worth I’d always go for a somewhat smaller coil than what most detector companies offer on their new detector. I’m not saying the norm 11” coil don’t have its place but all my detecting area is not all beach front property. I’m sure others and Minelab know most people will want that smaller coil so that’s a automatic sell for them. I say if was to do some beach hunting I’d probably go with a larger coil than the 11” one. Some people out there may be saying I’ll just wait until Minelab is offering that smaller coil so many of us are wanting. I know myself I have the Nox 800 with both small coils . I’m more than happy with that great detector and because of that I can sit back to let Manticore catch up. The catch up is for the Manticore small coils before I buy. I’m sure that day will come! Gerry you and maybe one other dealer of Minelab I know that when you open your mouth what you say is true . That’s because you been there and done that whatever it’s relating to. Some may say it’s not fair you got your hands on this new detector by Minelab called Manticore. I don’t think Minelab picked you on your good looks . Heck if that’s the case I’d be first to receive it . They know you would put that detector through every test possible in the allotted time you were given. I know it’s to your advantage to know all about anything you sell . In your case I think personal pride of knowing all about the Manticore so you in turn can relay your knowledge on to a customer. It will be interesting to hear all the responses we’ll get here when people start getting the Manticore in their hot little hands. It’s already 70 pages of speculation on the Manticore on this forum but on other forums is excitement like a dead horse. I’m not sure if I’ll buy the Manticore as of yet but Minelab makes such great detectors a force come over me saying buy it buy it. You know the rest of the story! Chuck

Steve’s 2022 Australia Adventure, Part 2
Ridge Runner replied to Steve Herschbach's topic in Garrett Metal Detectors
I’d email Garrett on other events they showed up but not with what most of us wanted to see the Axiom. I got that notice about the big hunt but I too not in to that but I’d make the trip if I could hold the Axiom in my hot little hands. Stay tuned until Monday. Chuck -
Guys does that beach look like it’s seen a lot of people traffic? I really don’t see any people other than the one guy. Now if I wanted to make a video without people blocking are getting in the way I’d go to a beach nobody goes to. Everyone has picked over a detector not one has had it in their hands. If I was Minelab come April first next year I’d just say April Fools. Chuck

Tom I wish you and Whites were both back together and their closing was just a bad dream. Chuck

You know that Minelab just put both Equinoxs on sale to the end of the year. I just don’t see them being Minelab coming out with this Manticore until after the first of next year. It’s just not good business to come out with a new similar product until you’ve had the opportunity to move that what’s on the shelves at the time. This gives every dealer opportunity to move what we’ll call old stock and make room for the new . We all know what that is The Manticore. Chuck

My step father had a saying he’d use off and on before he died. I really think in a way this sale that Minelab has on the Equinox fits his saying. Here goes; I wish he had a feather up his butt and I had that. Whatever that was . He’d finish off with we’d be both tickled to death. You’d be tickle to death to have either one of the Nox at a great price and here’s your opportunity. For what it’s worth department I’m no dealer if you’re wondering. Chuck

Sun Ray Inline Probe For The Equinox Announced!
Ridge Runner replied to Cal_Cobra's topic in Minelab Equinox Forum
When I was young and strong weight wasn’t a problem but now the years is having a affect on me plus the weight of my detector is not helping. That’s why I look for the best lighter detector to detect with. Here we’ve been talking about the new Manticore is less in weight than the Nox 800 and yet should be more of what we want in every way. I think back how great it would have been to have say the Nox 800 back when. How much more time I could have stayed out in the field with it . All I’m saying people is keep the weight off the shaft and you will be happier for doing it. Take it from some old fart that’s been there done that! Chuck -
The question has been put forth on the forum what you have for a backup detector. Well if you find yourself in need of one at dirt cheap price then take a look at the Equinox 600 for $ 599. Then if you are a Vet Minelab is almost paying you to buy it. So when you strutting around on the beach with your new Manticore from Minelab and someone ask what is your backup detector. You can just say the second best to my Manticore another Minelab the Equinox 600 . What can I say guys Some Got It and Others Got To Go Get It. You got to the end of this year to get yours. The Best To Each and Everyone Of You. Chuck

Sun Ray Inline Probe For The Equinox Announced!
Ridge Runner replied to Cal_Cobra's topic in Minelab Equinox Forum
Had one like that years ago on a Minelab. I can’t say that the probe wasn’t good but it added weight to the shaft that I didn’t need. Now if it was wireless like my MI6 that I have with my ORX I could see me going for it. Chuck -
Hi Just got this on a email from Minelab about 100 dollars off both detectors. This probably due to the New Minelab that all the talk has been about. Maybe Minelab is telling us that the Manticore will be replacing the Equinox line of detector. Only time will tell us as Paul Harvey would say the rest of the story. Chuck

I hunted for over thirty years with a single frequency detector and now hunt with a multi frequency detector. You may ask if I would go back to a single frequency detector and I say yes at a push of a button when I want . In some case’s you will find a single are not a lot of difference in price but the Simplex is a exception to the rule when it comes to price. It just may come down to how much money you have to spend. If so let your pocket book be your guide. The first time you find that diamond ring and your wife slips it on her finger the sky is the limit on what you can spend on a detector. I say go multi frequency and you can hunt in a single frequency when you want. But if you really think they are too expensive then go buy you a bass boat. haha Chuck

I can assure you we all have been there one time are another. Here’s mine the other day. Went and filled up my car with gas . After I was sitting checking my mileage with the gallons to see what my mpg . I put my car in drive and pushed down on the gas pedal and it didn’t move. I looked and it was in Drive also the parking brake was off . I said what the heck is wrong with this thing now and after checking everything over I put it back in park. Then starting the engine and putting back in drive I drove off. Chuck

New Nexus Standard Mpv3
Ridge Runner replied to Shelton's topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
In the past I’ve had a two box detector and if I found need of another this could be it . On the two box you shouldn’t carry any metal in your pocket. Being those big coils are together like they are I may have to go naked to use it.. Well that’s going to limit on what beach I can hunt. Any of you know where I can find the nudity beach ? Chuck -
Me and that dog has a lot in common. We both have a face only a mother could love 💕. Chuck
