Dancer You said a mouthful when you said about the gold and silver drying up. Now days it’s so many people out there swinging a detector by the time a ring hits the sand someone found it all ready . Dancer you should have been with me when I started detecting. I was about the only one out there. The detector was a BFO and that motor boat found me lots of silver because back then everything was silver. The pennies at that time was all wheat and now people get excited when they find one now . When White’s came out with the TDI I found myself digging deeper than ever before . I really think all the beach hunters would be more productive using a PI detector. Yes I know it means digging everything but before discriminating out so much I found lots more rings . I believe it’s still lots out there to be found but just maybe one going to have to work harder for it . The Best Dancer! Chuck

The Nox 800 is a great detector and the Manitcore has got a up hill climb if it can outdo the Nox. I find it hard to talk down on a old friend like my Nox but I have to face reality . That being Minelab is not in business for their health so this Manitcore like said before has to be the cats meow of a detector . I hope it’s hotter than a Tom cat on a hot tin roof. If that be the case like you I’ll have one The Best! Chuck

Erik I have a friend that says sometimes it’s just the pleasure of having something in your hands and yet not really needing it . I have a lot of detectors that fit just what I said. This new detector sounds like it’s got a lot going for it and in turn could add to finds for you down the road . The main thing is how cool 😎 you going to look in the field swinging this new cat’s meow metal detector called Manitcore. Heck if I was you I wouldn’t even turn it on. You already looking good so why work up a sweat . This is all about owning the best detector out there and looking good with it alone. Your friends will say look there there goes Erik to parade along the beach with his Manitcore again. Erik just writing this I find myself envious of you. Chuck

If you going to get your feet wet up to your neck I’d go with the Manitcore. Chuck

I’m just as guilty as the next guy poking fun at some of their detectors. Just think where would we be without all the nugget detectors that Minelab has come out with in the past years . I’ve had my share of them over the years and the same with their coin detectors. I’m not going to say I liked everyone but it wasn’t necessary the fault of the detector. I’ve been known to be a hard person to please. That this place in time the Nox 800 would be my favorite coin detector. I’m not going to talk about some of the problems it has had but like me I stay out of the water. By doing that that resolved one problem. I believe this new Manitcore is going to be a long reach to outdo the Nox. But if it does that’s okay too. I truly believe Minelab wouldn’t come out with another if it couldn’t out do the Nox. I know what I said at first but the truth is something I got to accept.haha You know how we get emails from Minelab. I emailed Minelab back and ask what I’ll call a favor of them. About a week later a well known dealer that I know calls me up saying Minelab said do it. I’ll always remember what they done for me without question. I thank you Minelab for being there for us and the years to come. Chuck

It could be that the Nox 1000 is down the road. With a name like Manitcore is a all together different breed of detector . I guess if they would come out with another I guess they could just add a 2 on the end of the next one. I’d like to know who came up with that name. I do believe that was a long reach into the past. I don’t see myself getting one due to the fact my cup run over with more detectors than I need now . Now if the powers that be comes down and speaks to be saying buy it then that’s the way it will be. Everyone is trying to make a name out of the first part of Manitcore. I myself just would call it Core . The only problem I’m having with that name is core is the center of a shaft. That could be telling me something . Chuck

In the AF we had what you call OJT and that’s on the job training. I think someone out there needs to learn how to wrap a coil cable. I wish one day I could order a detector with a coil are coils that I wanted not something I have no need for. Chuck

Jen I remember having that same mag but have given so many my old mags away. I had lots dated back to the middle 60’s but most gone. When people like you start talking about age I say you still got baby fat . Now a fat old man like me will give you shade in the summer and keep you warm in the winter. But don’t leave me out in the sun too long I’ll go rancid on you. Chuck

I myself had a E-Trac but didn’t keep it because I didn’t like it from day one. The Equinox 800 to me is a great detector and loved it from day one. I guess it’s like the Deus 1 in I had it and the dealer talked me into getting the 11” coil and didn’t like it either. The main thing is wasn’t what I wanted to start with and I sold it. Later I got the ORX with the 9” coil and I wouldn’t leave home without it. Just maybe this new detector is half E-Trac and Equinox that could be a good thing. The only trouble with that there goes it being a 6500. Chuck

Hell Gerry I believe in you and so many others on this forum do to . That’s why I buy a detector from a dealer that’s been there and done that . Not someone sitting around with his finger up his butt trying to choke himself to death .Hey it give me great pleasure just to come and dig for you. That make me happier than a new rooster in a hen house. haha Chuck

It may be like a dog In it’s bark is bigger than it’s bite! I’d find it hard to believe that Steve and Gerry is not testers of this detector in the US . Chuck

Maybe I need to send Minelab a picture of the best way to run your coil cable to get it out of the detecting field of the coil. This on the shaft of a Equinox and you can see the small elliptical coil. Chuck

If you take a look as the guy makes changes to the settings on the Axiom look at how he has to use the tip of his thumb to do so . Most of the buttons are small and not a lot of space in between. I don’t see that being a big problem I couldn’t overcome. Chuck

I’ve said I want my wife write a check of my net worth and put it in my coffin when I die . Is she going to be surprised when I cash it . I’ve been thinking about putting myself up for adoption but some say I’m too old and others can’t afford me . I’ll set up a appointment to interview you when I have a opening.haha Chuck

So many videos with some putting their two bits added to it . One had posted to the side the words Series two Equinox. Maybe if it is just maybe able to swim and dive better than it’s old man . Chuck

Manticore That’s the name Minelab has on it with the meaning of a legendary animal with the head of a man and the body of a lion with the tail of a dragon are. Scorpion. That’s what I could read in the lower left front of the detector. Chuck PS my dictionary said the head of a man. But whatever it must be wild .

It’s going to replace the 6000 and be called the 6500 . Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Chuck
