Jim Coils are like people in when they die out we look back saying it are they were great. I had some of the coils and I really liked with others I could do without. People are the important ones and only one of a kind. Chuck

If you got a winding on both then you have a dual field and that’s one great coil just because you have a big coil plus a small at the same time. You not having to change from one coil to another. The only trouble as we get older that coil gets heavy.

Gold Going Ballistic And I Love It!
Ridge Runner replied to jrbeatty's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
Tony Just remember if you sale too much at one time a big red flag 🚩 go up with your name on it for the IRS to see. If can if any of you are out there nugget hunting don’t go it alone. Bad guys are out there all the time but I think more so when gold makes a jump in price like now. Somebody love’s you so carry more than a stick and make sure you where you belong. One thing when you walk into your house your dog will always wag his tail showing he’s happy you made it home safely. Chuck -
Metal Detecting With A Cracked Rib
Ridge Runner replied to Bill (S. CA)'s topic in Metal Detector Advice & Comparisons
Who said this is our golden years is full of Bull. I was leaning over today and pop over one rib over the next one. I found out stars come out in the daytime too . This is a injury from another time back that just won’t go away. I’m thinking any day I’ll get up and the screw that holds my butt on has rusted out . Why say more you know what happened next. I’ve been told it’s a great life if you don’t weaken . Chuck -
To check to see what you have use a Pinpointer and check the center coil to see if it has a winding in it . If so then that one is a dual field coil. Chuck

Ridge Runner replied to John-Edmonton's topic in Garrett Metal Detectors
John I don’t know how you got the last storm when we’ve been told it never was a first one. Chuck -

Knomad What we need is some Jaws music to go with it. I just hope it don’t jump up and bite us all in the butt in our thinking of what this storm is all about. Chuck

IS IT Really ? At one time my mother loved to go to garage sales and I’d take her. Ever so often I’d find a detector for sale and never paying over 15 others as low as 3 dollars. One never had batteries in it . I just seen another one of the same type store’s selling a Garrett 24K . The people in there working don’t know a thing about what they got and the customer isn’t either. The customer is going out the door thinking I’ve got me a coin detector. Within a week that detector will be put up and may never see the light of day again. All I’m saying is just maybe on a Friday are Saturday may be a good time to go to garage sales again . Chuck

The Tarsacci is a detector I kick myself for selling it and the guy I sold it to then that person sold it not too long after he bought it from me. He later told me he wish he hadn’t. What they say Best loved and lost than not loved at all. I don’t think they were talking about detectors. They should have! Chuck

Garrett has been on the move lots since they acquired White’s. Could it be what we have been seeing coming from Garrett is just more than the 24 K they’ve acquired in that buy from Whites You know it had to be. If it wasn’t why bother. It didn’t take much engineering to remove Whites name and slap on Garrett’s name on the 24 K . Chuck

Got a email from Garrett saying it’s their anniversary today April 1st 1964 . Maybe this is the lull before the Storm . Chuck

This has come up over the years that you can find gold in sand that comes from California. I don’t believe you will get rich off of it unless they take the sand back and get your money back if you don’t find gold in it. They may just tell you that they are selling sand not cons . It may have more gold in it than the ones who are. Chuck

Stalker I wish you the best with your new coil the beast . I had bought the Tarsacci with the beast coil and then later ordered the stock coil. For me I was happy with the stock coil more so than I was with the beast. If I ever buy back into the Tarsacci again I’ll stick with the stock one. You may not know this but we have a dealer on here for the Tarsacci. He’s the one that sales the carbon fiber shafts for the major detectors and goes bye Steveg . I think I’m correct on the name. Let us know later down the road your opinion of the beast. Chuck

April Fools is coming real soon. Chuck

If the Garrett Storm happen to be a cross between the TDI and the TDI SL it would give us a mid range PI that anyone could afford to buy. I found it a great beach detector and with digging a target deeper than I ever have before. As for the lower end detectors I’ve bought more than one for grandkids and heck I’ve got one coming today but it’s for me. It’s less than 250 from Fisher and a proven detector for some years now. I believe we all operate within of what we can afford and I know myself that can vary from one month to another. I say if this great hobby is just cost too much for you then go get a Bass boat. Chuck

It’s like said if it can’t out do the Legend,Deus 2 and the Manticore then why bother. Who knows if may be job security at Garrett because if they don’t come out with something they may be on the outside looking in . Chuck

Don't Nuke The Tarsacci Forum
Ridge Runner replied to The_Stalker's topic in Tarsacci Metal Detectors
Dancer That is odd you didn’t get a response back because he’s always responded back right away. The guy on here that sales detector rods is a dealer for Tarsacci and sign’s on Steveg maybe could help you. Who knows the only way you can get new washers is buy a new Tarsacci. It is good to hear from you Dancer and I hope you doing great out there just a swinging. It would help if you find something that gets the heart beating faster. Take care! Chuck -
Don't Nuke The Tarsacci Forum
Ridge Runner replied to The_Stalker's topic in Tarsacci Metal Detectors
When Dimitar and myself were texting each other I wanted to say something about your video I’ve seen before you posted it here. I ask him if he had any updates and he replied back that he had none. I wanted so much to say like you fixed Aaron’s Tarsacci but I think I said to you I wouldn’t. I found a dealer in California show’s he will ship free but if you get anything from Dimitar you will pay shipping. One thing about it we are myself don’t have to buy from him because all the other detector companies are bending over backwards to get our business . I will say the Tarsacci is well built and solid as a rock in construction than some others on the market. The problem it will be moved over to the dead file at the rate it’s going. Chuck -
Cut Spanish Silver Rockingham County Va
Ridge Runner replied to Dcraun's topic in Metal Detecting For Coins & Relics
On the cut one someone needed the change. They may have been smarter than we are now. We make a penny that cost us two and a half times to make it. Chuck
