Compass

Bought my first detector (Goldak) in 1970 when I was 16. Did a lot of dirt hunting until I joined the Navy in 1975. After I got out in 1983 only hunted a few times a year until until 2010 when the new metal detecting technology revived my interest. At this time I started hunting the beaches regularly with pulse detectors, mostly, and with encouraging success despite my concerns about the growing competition.
