Nice Finds! If it had a floor heater, that's where I find most of my coins in torn down houses. Also every corner seemed to have something also. GaryC/Oregon Coast

Bought the first one new after it came out shortly after I purchased my 70. The early ones had a problem with the battery connections/spring and would shut off occasionally. Eventually broke the ears off the coil, just wear and tear moved me to buy a used one off eBay. Then came the 800 and well the 705 doesn't get much work today. GaryC/Oregon Coast

Actually, my wife probably finds more change in the parking lots than I find metal detecting. Around forty bucks last year, just in small change. If I'm in the car waiting for her in the market, I'll see her coming to the car by way of three rows over so she doesn't miss anything. Her manta is "I don't need no metal detector to find money". I have to live with that saying every time she picks up a penny!!!, Gota love her!!! GaryC/Oregon Coast

I still haven't claimed a detecting find for a diamond ring found at a 7-eleven parking lot on my way home from detecting. I think you have to let this one go! GaryC/Oregon Coast

Maybe you can cut the sides down on the "China" model that has withstood the abuse. Make the blade a bit narrower for plugging. GaryC/Oregon Coast

We are talking 40 years ago, right?
"I have dug so much that their is literally nothing left that gives a clean signal, I am literally now in all metal mode and trying to dig everything"
It's very possible you are not remembering the location completely, just saying. If you have dug all signals either with a crappy detector or a good one, it's very possible it's not there. Sounds like you did a very decent job of looking for it. I have no other good news to pass along, Sorry GaryC/Oregon Coast

Pull tabs have existed for a long time, you won't see a machine eliminate them for a long time after I'm gone. We have all had to learn to live with them one way or the other. When the time comes that a machine exists that can cancel out pull tabs/aluminum and not gold, then metal detecting will die. The parks will be completely cleaned out in a few years. Just my two cents worth. GaryC/Oregon Coast
