  1. Well done F350, some very nice finds for the day. Good to here some reports on the update, I haven't been able to get out and test mine in the wild yet. I have done a few tests in my small test garden but cant wait to try it out for real. I enjoyed reading your story thanks for sharing.
  2. That fly is a nasty looking fellow, looks similar to our march flies we have here in Australia. Yes the tumble down the hill wouldn't be nice at all especially from those heights.
  3. Ripper finds F350, looks like a great permission you have. Thanks for sharing your story I really enjoyed reading it. The things we do to go detecting.lol
  4. Here is Gary's Update Procedure, hopefully it might help someone out.
  5. All updated and paired up, now to get out and try it out. Looks like some great features have been added, the one that I am most interested in is the new improved full tones.
  6. Cool setup GPT, yeah Steve makes some nice rods that is for sure. Will have to do the same to mine and make 2 separate units just like yours.
  7. Very good write up Jeff, I have thought about selling my 800 for a 900 but have been reluctant to do so. I know they go deep and separate well, but so does the 800. Being a cherry picker those jumpy ID's would be useless to me in our manicured parks.
  8. I just charge mine before I use them, then leave them sit till I am ready to go out again. I normally only detect for 3 or 4 hours at a time so still have plenty left to keep the battery's healthy till next time.
  9. Just thought I would share this with you all, I spotted it today while lurking around. The article is here
  10. This was a gold and copper mine close to home, and a big roo keeping an eye on me.
  11. I am seeing the same thing Tom, I wonder if most of these people are coming from other brands that are not as sparky as the Equinox Series. I don't have a 900, but from memory when the 800 was released I do recall a similar pattern.
  12. The Deus 2 is the go and some great suggestions by the guys. I am going to go against the grain though and say the 11 inch coil, with the proviso that your hunting in bigger fields or the beach. I have both the 9 and 11 inch coils, when I hunt bigger fields I use the 11, it just covers more ground but that 9 inch is dynamite on trashy areas.
  13. Wow that is bad, poor workmanship and quality control. I would take it straight back and get another one...
  14. For sure John that's a great idea, everybody or 95% of people carry a mobile/cell phone with them these days, once again thanks for sharing.
  15. Thanks John, what a great little book you have there, thanks for sharing with us.
  16. That was a good video to watch, that pinpoint trick will come in handy. It sounded like the bottom of an aluminum can we regularly find here in parks.
  17. It been 11 months "28/04/2022" since 0.71 was released, people are getting a bit toey including myself...
  18. Those caps definitely crack if there tightened too much, that a shame that it come like that out of the box though.
  19. Thanks CPT, cant wait to try out the new update. πŸ‘Œ
  20. Well done guys, I love the big open field congrats on the finds. πŸ‘Œ
  21. Congratulations and good choice, its going to be even better when the new update arrivesπŸ‘Œ
  22. I have also owned an ORX great little machine for gold, those high frequencies are good for tailings piles. The battery as mentioned by Geoff is user replaceable and not over expensive if a problem occurs.
  23. Its quite a bit to get your head around but a really good video, I watched it twice. It would be nice to get some sort of word at least when the update is expected. As some of you guys have pointed out, its well overdue for an update of some sort . I have actually been using my old 800 and loving it, I know the D2 is newer advanced tech...but I love the simplicity of the 800.
