  1. are the surfaces smooth, or is their a three dimensional surface on the faces?
  2. If your weight is in grams, it appears to be very similar to Mckee & Mason #320-321. CSA Austrian, 69cal. there are several varieties with that thick skirt, slight different weights and lengths, prob. from crude molds. You might pin it down with a length and dia. measurement.
  3. I use my "Carrot" vibrate only, as well. No reason to hear when you can feel it.
  4. I just re-registered, responded to the activation email and posted without issue. So I am hopefull that the forum will be renewed. The old forum setup was terrible to read and follow, and it appears that the new software will allow MUCH better interaction. 🤞
  5. maybe he doesn't want to get his shoes wet?????? maybe he has no clue, not even a hint of one? maybe he's waiting for a "bud" to show up with batteries.....
  6. in the 70's the word I heard was you needed to expect to dig a thousand tabs to get gold, so 1000/1 odds. I believe that with the Equinox MOST small gold falls below the tab... but not all. If you don't dig 'em you will miss gold. Looks like you easily beat that. It was worth it for sure on this day! Congrats.👍
  7. possibly some variation derived from the Pennsylvania state seal. Figuring out what NC is may be the key.
  8. Must be you unknowingly did a "trade-in" when you thought you were purchasing product outright. It's pretty stinky that you didn't receive the screws from minelab, they know you need them. minelab could build a lot of good-will with little effort by including the screws and screen protectors, but they choose not to. That speaks volumes to the consumer. Hope your new control box is leakproof and performs flawlessly.
  9. Wow, beautiful, and not broken or chipped. Nice recovery, no M.D. required. 👍
  10. Chiil, Who was the seller that you purchased the good working screens from? Do you know if it's current production, or obsolete product? My V3i screen is still good, but should probably get backup. Thanks!
  11. thanks Steve, I appreciate your way of thinking on this. You have an attitude of contentment, I think. I need to weed out the detectors that just sit in a closet for sure. The thing that has stopped me is thinking that I'll change my mind after selling. In my heart, I know that's not the case or I would be using them. Having more stuff surely doesn't make me any happier or more content with life. 75 y.o., and I want to enjoy what I have, and have fun finding whatever the EQ800 will allow me to find. No more chasing a detector that MIGHT find one extra piece of gold or silver that I'd miss otherwise. Q: Who is the maker of your telescopic 800 shaft?
  12. Thanks for sharing the photos and the story. Hope your health improves so you can continue.
