Thanks Steve. Top review. I have a Nox 600 and 800. I bought a Simplex+ as a loaner for my kids and grandchildren. I’ve got to say I’m pretty impressed by its build quality and performance. And, for the price, it’s a lot of detector ‘bang for your buck’. I actually hadn’t noticed the ergonomic problems you mentioned (Handle angle and button firmness) but I have been frustrated by the lack of time between pressing a button and the detector reverting to previous screen. I agree, Nokta could improve on this and it may be possible with an update. One outstanding point, to me, is that fact that Nokta offer software updates.

I bought the same shaft setup for my 800 and I am very happy with it. The 15" coil is a beauty and cuts down the swinging time at parks. I also bought another carbon shaft, along with a spare Equinox lower shaft and fitted my Gold Monster to them. Works a treat and I can now collapse the whole thing for transporting.

The Red belly Black looks great. (It's actually my favourite snake. Beautiful looking creatures.) Once my ordered shaft turns up and I'm happy with it, I'll order the RBS for my 600. Nice job mate.

Has anyone bought and used one of these. I have ordered and paid for one but the ETA keeps getting pushed back.

Firstly, it’s dated April. Secondly, as said, who in their right mind would try to open the control box? Thirdly, he hasn’t really given any evidence for canning the machine. As my dear old Dad used to say: “It’s only what you say that gives you away!” This is too nice a Forum for the language I would like to use to describe the drongo.
