What detector you speak of?

I’ve dug a lot of buttons over the years but have never dug one with markings on the back like that one. Definitely an interesting one, have you figured out how old it is? Great to hear that the Manticore is closer to a CTX than a Nox!!!

Yesterday evening we received a message from Minelab that the first Minelabs MANTICORE for the European market have finally been cleared through customs. They are expected to arrive at the European warehouses before Christmas. Between Christmas and New Year's Eve, they are then expected at the European distributors, who can then ship them to their dealers. The expectation is indeed only to their dealers because the number of the first shipment is probably too small to immediately have copies available for customers. However, it has been promised that we will receive weekly supplies, so with the delay of the first batch at customs, the second delivery (number completely unknown!!) will hopefully follow very soon. We will therefore have to grit our teeth for a while, but fortunately there are now good prospects.

Man it’s quiet in here, I was expecting a post by now about Minelab pallets weighing 2000 pounds being airlifted to the U.S. by helicopter from Nicaragua……… or something similar.

Yea I work designing and building injection molds so I obviously know a lot more about it.

Actually flexibility does have bearing on breakage as does the radius molded into the corner for strength.

FYI those ears are made the way they are so that they are flexible AND DON’T BREAK!!

Damn!! The iron falsing on the Manticore is really worrying to me but if there is no new 3030 I guess I stick with my order. The person that informed me that there was a new 3030 in the works was the guy that was known as the CTX expert. He told us in his newsletter that he was sending out.

The ID range on the 800 is very frustrating and actually one of the reasons I got rid of mine. 2-3 years ago I heard that there was a new CTX3030 in the works. Since you’re a guy that has apparently worked for Minelab, Is the Manticore the new 3030?

Better yet , why buy a 900 when you already own an 800? It really makes no sense to upgrade if you’re doing it in such tiny increments IMO. Are you going to sell your 800? If you are you can expect to get about $600 if you’re lucky.
