Glad I didn't get the Gold Monster 1000, the Gold Monster and Equinox 800 operate pretty close together in the 40khz freq. , but the Equinox has a lot more options. Dave

Fred, Thank you !!! I used 3m Flexiclear body seam sealer, it makes a strong bond, and is a synthetic rubber, I can also remove it without damage. I would not recommend epoxy, unless you want more of a permanent attachment. Any strong bond/ silicone will work. Dave

Hi Fred, Like others on this post who made their own for the 19" , I did the same. I bought a sheet of 1.5mm Clear Lexan Makrolon Polycarbonate, for $45, long enough to make one for the 19" coil, and I made one for the stock 14" coil also. I cut it, and used a heat gun to form it around the coil for a snug fit. I made the front form fit the 19" coil, to help eliminate any dirt from going on top of coil. Here are some pics of making it. Dave.

1. Password protected, so if it gets stolen it will not work. 2. Save multiple settings like the CTX 3030 has. 3. I like your clock idea Andyy, I'm always having to look at my phone or GPS for time, as I don't wear a watch. Dave

Good info Mitchel, thanks.... If you happen to talk to Dr Steve Chesley, could you ask him if he could calculate meteorite falls during dark flight? I will be in Salem Oregon during the eclipse, to get total eclipse, going to send the drone up, and get some shots from 400 feet up... Dave

Hi Jason, No haven't got a chance to use it in the old patches.... need to get out there and try it. I dont think the 5000 would have seen this. One thing I love about the ZED is its sure sounds off on the Spongy and Specimen gold. Swinging that 19" sure does give you a good work out though, no need for a Gym membership ..

Got out Friday, and decided to use the good ol Boat Anchor 19 " coil on the ZED. After finding the Specimen Gold, and into it 2 hours, my Bungee broke, and I had to go to my backup bungee, and also switched back to the 14". I was using the High Yield Mode with the 19" coil, since the soils here are not to bad, and I seem to get a little more depth using the 19" with High Yield. Dave.

Does Minelab limit transferring the warranty to several new owners, or can you just transfer the warranty once?? Talking about the 7000. Also hearing from multiple sources Minelab doesn't really do repairs, they just mail new devices back to you if there is something wrong. ????

What Was Your 1st Detector?

Randy, You will be waisting your money on the nickel test kit, you really need an xrf test, to determine nickel content. Dave

Madtuna, Some very nice gold your getting, congrats... Dave

Been there done that Mitchel, like everyone else. At least you know that 19 punches deep, hope your next one is a good size nugget. I've seen some guys pull some good size nuggets on the Gold Basin claims, using a 25" coil on the gpx Dave

Trent, I have been using this app for 2 years now on my phone, I store all my offline aerial maps on my sd card, it works great !! A little hard at first to understand, but once you mess with program for a while, it works great.... Dave.

Thanks Walker Lunk Chris.... Lunk..... I found a great technique, if you slam your detector coil on them, it knocks them out.... I dont bring home the smashed ones
