  1. Hydraulic Pit Nugget Hunting

Me and Gary ( Two Toes )head deep into the Sierra's in search of those elusive Gold Nuggets the Old timers missed. Yes I include Gary in with the Old Timers as he has Detected this spot before. Nugget Hunting in a Hydraulic pit isn't the easiest thing to do but it's one of the funnest and most rewarding ways of finding Gold. Watch as we pull those Gold Nuggets the old timers missed over a hundred years ago out of the ground !!!!!  Gary finds a old Lead soldered painted Can is there Gold inside like the last one he found ? what did the Old timers us it for ? I find the missing Conglomerate piece from our last trip here lets see if it has Gold in it !!!  Gary finds a Old Coin out in the pit .

Plus Many many old square Nails !!!!!

Thanks for watching I hope you enjoyed the adventure we sure had fun finding all the cool stuff and wondering what and how they used it. SG 052

    Hey Bud,

Always great watching you and Gary dig gold and nuggets.  The Yuba is a awesome area and loaded with gold.  I have a friend, which I believe still has the claims on the Yuba and used to dredge some good sized nuggets, but at depths of 15-20 foot down and car sized boulders they had to move.  I think now they are diving and sniping with the Minelab SDC 2300's due to the dredging regulations now.

cool I hope there killing it !!!!!

  3. Yuba River Crevice Detecting for Gold Nuggets

Me and Gary head back to Mother Yuba in search of Gold Nuggets and are joined by Tim from Blue lead Gold Productions.

Let's Find some Gold on Mother Yuba !!!

We are armed with the Minelab SDC 2300 and the White's Gold Master V-Sat that gives us both a Pulse Induction detector and a VLF detector.

While me and Gary clear the boulders off Bedrock to detect Tim gets right to Sluicing with his Angus MacKirk Sluice box.

The Yuba is known for it's small Gold so he should do pretty good !!!

Moving those Boulders is hard work but that's what needs to happen to expose the Bedrock Crevices and get those Nuggets in our pockets !!!

Glad to see your efforts showing what can be done with the types of detectors most of us can afford, well done! You’re giving a good “get up and go use what you’ve got” message for sure!

Only one critique though, which of the “Sierra’s” was that at? I’ve only been to one. (Sorry, the geographer in me couldn’t ignore that!😉). Keep up the good work!

    Thanks it's the Northern Sierra's !!!! LOL

  5. Nugget Hunting a Hydraulic Pit

Me and Gary  @Two Toes  head deep into the Sierra's in search of those elusive Gold Nuggets the Old timers missed.

Yes I include Gary in with the Old Timers as he has Detected this spot before. Nugget Hunting in a Hydraulic pit isn't the easiest thing to do but it's one of the funnest and most rewarding ways of finding Gold.

On this adventure we take three different Metal Detectors The Minelab SDC 2300, White's TDI, and a White's Gold Master V-Sat this allows us to use both Pulse Induction and VLF technologies in our search for Gold and Treasures.

Watch as we pull those Gold Nuggets the old timers missed over a hundred years ago out of the ground !!!!!

Gary finds a old Lead soldered painted Can with Gold inside what did the Old timers us it for ? I find Six musket balls encased in rotting wood how long have those been there ?

Plus Many many old square Nails !!!!!

Thanks for watching I hope you enjoyed the adventure we sure had fun finding all the cool stuff and wondering what and how they used it.

  6. Finding Gold Nuggets with the Minelab SDC 2300

Can I beat  @Two Toes  with his own Metal Detector ? We head back to finish off a few spots we left from our last trip out. Gary found some good gravel so he decided to run it though his Sluice box while I was happy to use his Minelab SDC 2300 while he was busy sluicing !!!!

Those targets that we left sure paid off !!! Nothing like hearing a good sounding target sitting on bedrock .

  7. Moving Boulders to find more Gold Nuggets

We return to move a boulder that's been keeping me awake at night just thinking about what might be underneath it. This boulder is sitting on Bedrock just above the main flow of the river so it could be loaded with Gold !!!! I worked the crevice around it and pulled out a couple pickers and a lot of lead so lets see what's under that boulder. Detectors used Minelab SDC 2300 and the White's Gold Master V-Sat .

  8. Hillside Detecting for Placer Gold Nuggets

Armed with a Minelab SDC 2300 and a White's Gold Master V-Sat Jeff and Gary (Two Toe's) try some Hillside detecting for Placer Gold Nuggets. High bench gold in the morning and River deposited gold in the afternoon. We moved a lot of rocks and brush looking for those elusive Nuggets and didnt go home empty handed !!!

Our Hawaiian buddy Tim ( Blue Lead Gold Productions ) likes to send me pictures and video of what we are missing on the island during the winter months so I've included a few clips from him in the video. Hope you enjoy the video.

I hope everyone has as much fun prospecting as you two.  😁  I was thinking "why not two breaker bars?" but then I remembered you have a 2000 ft (one way) vertical excursion between your vehicles and the creek.  Unless you want to go 100% old-timer mode (i.e. leave the metal detectors behind) just getting one bar in there is the limit.  Or you could add a 3rd prospector....  🤔

second Bar was in the back of gary's truck he said it was a good spot for it !!! LOL Thanks for watching

  11. Moving Boulders to find Placer Gold

Moving Boulders to reach Bedrock Crevices to locate those Placer Gold Nuggets that are hiding just out of sight.

Jeff and Gary ( Two Toes ) use a Come-along and a Breaker bar to move the boulders then check the bedrock crevices with a Minelab SDC 2300 Metal Detector.

A Come-Along is a hand operated winch used to pull objects in this case Boulders !!
