Nugget Finder Z-search 3 Different Version Coils?
strick replied to Gerry in Idaho's topic in Detector Prospector Forum
Yes @klunker got it from Rob if I'm not mistaken.. within the last couple months...I had wanted a black version as soon as I seen one but only grey was available and since I already have too many detectors and coils and no time to use them I've been sitting idle..apparently the coil is hard to come by for some reason...which is kinda strange... strick- 37 replies

Did a chat with a dealer somewhere in Europe early this morning...tried to order one but no bueno...cant ship to US...they are expecting their next shipment in next week so some places have got more then one shipment already but how many they are getting at a time I don't know...sounds like 3-4 which is what they advertised as in stock but then admitted they were out and taking orders for the next batch....what ever.... it will start raining soon and the ground will turn damp enough for some park hunting once again...hope to have one by then..sigh strick

Wozer great hunt and great story...once and a while everything lines up just perfect but you got to keep at it all the time to have these epic hunts...The ring is a beauty Mitchell...Oh and the black velvet is a nice touch! strick

Been to the gulf a couple times on vacation before I was into the hobby and we used to load up on those fossilized sharks teeth! strick

some probably due to the program I was using all terrain general most of the time and these were air tests after the targets were dug. .....zinc pennies don't live too long in a salt water environment so I'd guess that the ones I'm digging in the dirt are a little more degraded...the dirt I hunt will bring the numbers down and you are hunting in clean sand there in the gulf? strick

Minelab Manticore First Really Short Hunt
strick replied to Jeff McClendon's topic in Minelab Manticore Forum
I agree its a head thing.... less numbers so perceived more stable...I've dug more twist off caps with the Nox 800 then I have with any other machine.....a lot of them will read 14-15 on one of the polluted beaches I hunt...the corroded ones ID will jump around a little but I still dig them because I've found some real big gold rings that were a 14-15 on the nox... I once met a guy on a clean pollution free beach... we were both using our ctx 3030's...he claimed that every 12.09 he dug was a gold ring... always. Well maybe in his world but not in my aluminum infested parks...I have still used the nox 800 but only because of the small coils..it would be cool if Minelab or whoever would make a 6" round for the M-Core...someday strick -
I think maybe your thinking too much and you got me thinking a little π I dont remember seeing much bleeding on corroded zinc pennies but I'll pay more attention when I get back to the hunt. I did a chart on corroded zinc a while back the numbers are all over the place... strick

Minelab Manticore First Really Short Hunt
strick replied to Jeff McClendon's topic in Minelab Manticore Forum
Jeff- good to see you giving the manticore a go....I look forward to your honest and in-depth reviews and comparisons to other machines...like you I was very impressed with it early on.... In my "stroll in the park with a manticore thread" I mention finding a very small wire looped silver earring at 7 inches with it. I think you will enjoy using the M-Core...its a great park machine...I'm still on version one as I was happy enough with the way the machine was running but may give the latest version a go...I haven't been on a park hunt in many months...but it just rained yesterday and when work slows down this winter I hope to get back out...At the risk of sounding like a broken record....We need that small coil strick -
My opinion as well although I have not tried every pin pointer in the world the standard Carrot has been my go to for a long time... yes they can break but I attribute it to my neglect (I'm rough on them) I was done trying different pinpointers years ago and now only look to re-supply my stable of garret carrots as needed until another miracle pinpointer comes along... strick

Nice work Compass you are making me jelly as the kids would say lol...curious about how deep some of these have sank guess it depends on the type of lake bottom...I remember the one you showed was a sunbaker are most targets fairly shallow? strick

Wet Sand, Salt Beach Jewelry Hunting
strick replied to fishersari's topic in Minelab Manticore Forum
Cant say that I remember finding the chain after finding the pendant but like you I have tried by circling and digging any thing that makes a peep. A lot of the gold chains I've tested with the Nox and M-Core they will only see the clasp when in park and beach modes...Gold modes will react with the chains sometimes...Do you remember what those gold pendants numbers were on the M-Core? Nice work! strick
