Dear Valued Customers: First of all, we thank you all for the increasing sales of our Racer series detectors. As you all know, Racer 2 is an addition to our current Makro product line up and we have no intentions of discontinuing the original red Racer. As a matter of fact, for those customers who do not need the extra features of the Racer 2, the original Racer still stands as a very good performing hi-end detector. Many of our dealers and customers have been asking Nokta& Makro for a device that would retail around the $500 price range.. Therefore, as of June 1, 2016 we changed the price of the Racer as below to meet this request. We believe that the new price change makes Racer absolutely the most competitive and attractive product in that price range! This device is not waterproof but hopefully our future models will be. The frequencies are PLANNED to be - 4 - 14- 21. Thank you.

Please note that it is all how you look at the stages of a product development. Yes, the product is in testing BUT testing can last for months sometimes as a small change may lead to many other changes in the device. We will definitely release this machine this year but giving a launch date at this stage would be misleading customers. And even we could not launch this detector in April : -)

Hello... currently, we do not have those products in our product roadmap but we could if there was enough demand. We would like to make all customers happy but we do not want to overdo it and confuse people either. Nokta Impact is still in development. We will definitely release it this year. And yes, we are working on a PI machine but will not be launched anytime soon. Thank you!

We are not discontinuing any of the models. All Fors series will stay in production.

By no means are we on this forum to make claims or to sell or to get into debates regarding competition. As a matter of fact, we refrain from getting involved in such discussions as a manufacturer and we leave all that to the users of the products. Anybody who has been following my posts on this forum or others can vouch for that. We are just trying to verify some results to avoid any misinformation as well as support you in case there is a reason why you are experiencing different results than what we are seeing.

For a more objective test: Please conduct the test outdoors as these 2 devices have different operating frequencies and may get affected differently from EMI. We are very familiar with the model in comparison as we also do many benchmark tests in our development stages. Use the Gold Racer at factory defaults and set the model in comparison as you feel more comfortable with. You can compare All Metal to All Metal and our Discrimination 2 to the other model's iron off setting. Test materials- as gold nuggets will vary in size and shape the best would be to test a US Quarter and a nickel. No audio boost is necessary. After you finish testing and recording the results, turn up the sensitivity on the Gold Racer to the maximum level that the environmental conditions allow (you can leave all other settings at the factory defaults) and record your results again. Thank you! PS - Coils - Try to compare similar size coils. In case you really have an issue with the 10x5.5'' coil, you can compare the small coils.

We cannot post a bench mark test video as a manufacturer as it would not be ethical. However, below is the link to our air test video for the Gold Racer conducted with gold dust, different size nuggets as well as a men's wedding band. You can tell us what you are doing the air tests with and we can take a video with the same material here.

We need to determine whether there is something wrong with your device or not. At the factory defaults, can you please tell us the air test results for a US quarter and a nickel both in All Metal and Discrimination 2 modes for the Gold Racer as well as the model in comparison above? I really don't know why you did not hear from the team as we are pretty quick in responding under normal conditions but I can guarantee that I will personally take care of it if there is any issue.

Hello. Just wanted to chime in here as your post got our attention. There is really no way that the Gold Racer results will be 3 inches less than the GB2 in an air test unless there is something wrong with your coil and/or your detector. Hello all. Just wanted to chime in here. This is in fact a Kellyco exclusive product in terms of distribution. Nokta will not ship this unit to resellers or end-users. Kellyco will ship the product globally and may sell to resellers who are interested. The detector has been tested in the USA, Africa and Australia. Steve Herschbach also tested the product and he can feel free to comment on it. The pre-production unit Steve tested did not have the long coil cable or the hipmounting belt . The only change we made on the production units were the LEDs based on Steve's and another tester's feedback. They were not visible enough under bright sunlight so the update was made before we went into production. Nokta did make the first shipment to USA and Kellyco should have the product in stock in a few days. We can answer all questions regarding the specs or the features of the product. Any questions regarding pricing or shipment dates though should be directed to Kellyco. Hope this info helps those who are interested. Thank you all!

Thank you Steve for the comments. Yes, you did float the idea of the LEDs and you know we do listen to all our testers and customers and try our best to offer them what they need to the extent we can.

And the answer is, it is legit. The unit is going to be hip mountable and the cable will be longer.

It will be available outside the USA but you will need to check with Kellyco for the details.

Correct. They are similar in terms of performance and the settings. The weight is 3.1lbs. Well, we recommend rain covers for the Racer if you were to use it under rain. This unit will not need covers but it is definitely not submersible. Coils - will have to get back to you on that.
