  1. Hy Sven1, as far as the S-shaft upgrade... I did the straight shaft conversion. Here's what I did...
  2. Sven that's terrific... I love this stuff and the way you took it upon yourself to improve the Blisstool and to help others do it too... THANKS AGAIN. Gerry
  3. My apologies Sven1. I deleted Google Chrome on my Desktop computer and it caused me some problems. Thanks much!
  4. I did that with my V3 years ago… it wasn’t so bad. The buyer was happy. If and when I’m able to upgrade the V6 I’ll get my brother out with it… he has a hard time with the typical pinpoint buttons on metal detectors because of RA.
  5. Sven, That sounds like a great option and you really got me thinking… it sounds as if you have an electronics background… would I be correct? If not… even more impressive. Would you have a part number for the gain pot that you used… I have enough electrical experience to be slightly-less than dangerous. Thanks, Gerry
  6. Thanks KAC, That’s a good recommendation. I just put it here because of the interest shown in the Blisstool. I have no problem keeping it in my collection, it’s just that I thought that if someone wanted to put the Bliss to better, more regular use because they love the machine… then I would let it go. See, if I put it in the “Classifieds”, then I’d have be prepared to ship it, and I did that once before and it’s a pain. This was just a casual offer to anyone interested for the reason I offered above… I still love the machine, so it’s no big deal if I ever sold it… IF THAT MAKES ANY SENSE? Gerry
  7. I know that this is an older post... I have a Blisstool V6 with the three coils that were offered that I'd be willing to part with... It works great and is my fastest hunting machine if I want to cover a lot of ground... it's the way to go. I just haven't been detecting a bunch lately and have two eTracs with numerous coils, a Teknetics G2+ with multiple coils and a Equinox with several coils, three Minelab coils and two Coiltek coils. Anyhow, I'm not really interested in shipping it. I live in S E Michigan (48183) and if someone is interested and would like to see it in-person let me know. It's in very good condition and I'm thinking $450. Gerry
  8. GW, I'm glad to hear that you're satisfied. I've loved mine since receiving it. It offers so many benefits over the OEM shaft that it puts the original to shame. I, sometimes, wish that Minelab would put much more thought in their shafts, with portability, ergonomics and usages (ie water/land) as major considerations in their design. Gerry
  9. Steve, I did the same thing months ago... when I first started looking into the Golden Mask shafts... I got the same results. Now I have had quick responses in the past from him... but regarding this subject (Golden Mask shaft conversion kit)... not so much. Not implying anything, he’s always been a great guy... just, maybe, this project didn’t interest him. Gerry
  10. Geo, I haven’t corresponded with him lately... I’ve sent him a message about your issue... I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from him. Gerry
  11. Thanks for the thought. I live in S. E. Michigan if you’re ever near the Detroit area drop me a line.
  12. Good deal. I’m glad you made it best for you. I did consider making an adapter for it (the original arm cuff) but after using it as it was, I skipped it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
  13. Sky355, Above I did the weight comparison between the standard shaft and the Golden Mask shaft.... the difference in weight was negligible... and it felt that way to me too before I weighed it. Check it out above... OOOPS maybe the previous page. Hope this helps, Gerry
  14. I looked it up. The Equinox weighs 2.9 lbs as originally equipped. The Minelab Equinox 800 on the "Golden Mask collapsible carbon fiber Equinox shaft" doing the conversion weighs 3.1125 lbs or rounding it to one decimal place... 3.1 lbs compared to an original/OEM shaft weight of 2.9 lbs. Gerry
  15. Cal, The weight of my Minelab Equinox 800 on the "Golden Mask collapsible carbon fiber Equinox shaft" with the 11" coil attached is 3 lb 1.8 oz. I weighed it 3 times same weight each time. Best of luck, Gerry
  16. Cal, Not at this time.... I'll get that for you tomorrow after work. Gerry
  17. Cal, i'd have to disassemble everything to do a comparison weight between the two... I should have maybe thought of doing that first off but I didn't. I can tell you, I, myself, didn't notice a discernible difference in weight between the two shafts. Gerry
  18. Taras, the seller of the Equinox to Golden Mask carbon fiber shaft kit. Sent me this link if you want to purchase the kit and send it to the U.S. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173787937281?ul_noapp=true BE FOREWARNED THE IMAGE IN THE ABOVE SHORTCUT DOESN'T SHOW THE EQUINOX SET-UP, IT SHOWS THE Xterra SET-UP. If you want see the Equinox set-up... It's here: To clarify for those that still may be questioning what you get in the kit, here it is: You get everything: The Golden Mask collapsible carbon fiber shaft with cuff, The adapter w/all the hardware to mount your Equinox 600/800 control box/head unit/hand grip to the thicker Golden mask shaft Nylon coil bolt and rubber washers. (I just used my Minelab nylon bolt) Essentially... the only thing you need is a Minelab Equinox 600 or 800 and nothing else. Best of luck, Gerry
  19. Glad to help. I think you'll love it. It took a month for mine to arrive so be patient is my advice. Gerry
  20. I've been in touch with Taras the seller of the shaft on and off... I will send him a PM through eBay and see if I can get you all a direct way of ordering it. Gerry
  21. Sorry Sky for the slow response, had to take a family member to the hospital... the non-US shipments was new, but I knew that there were ways around that. It seems you got that worked out your own. Let me know how you like it... Best wishes, Gerry
  22. Here's one of my videos showing my Ebay purchased, Minelab Equinox to Golden Mask collapsible carbon fiber shafts: The seller's information is also included in a couple of different links. Have any questions, ask, I'll be glad to help. Gerry
