  1. That a pretty big piece of gold. We should ask, what about the small stuff?
  2. Equinox 900 manual: 4901-0419-2 Inst Manual, EQUINOX 700 900 EN.pdf (minelab.com)
  3. Manticore manual: 4901-0428-1 Inst Manual, Manticore EN.pdf (minelab.com)
  4. Iffy signals on YouTube has a new video with Deus2, Manticore, and Nox900 comparison. Worth a look!
  5. a little more info, https://www.minelab.com/__files/f/488372/4901-0315-1 GSG, MTCR EN_WEB.pdf
  6. No mention there about nugget detection. If it can do better on the gold field mode than the Equinox, it would be worth it. If it’s just about the same, I’ll keep my Equinox 800. I don’t care as much about relics and coins. Beach and jewelry some.
  7. I was hoping for some separation difference to be displayed in gold nugget detection on the Arizona video. I don't see what youre referring to in the detector database.
  8. I was hoping for some separation difference to be displayed in gold nugget detection. But it’s probably not going to be possible.
  9. I'm waiting for the reviews. Too much market build-up will set-up a letdown. I noticed if someone comments on the Manticore, the flood gates open to many speculations. I just bought an 8lb. jug of Orville Redenbacher's and awaiting the next go-around. Never a dull moment on DP! Gotta' love it.
  10. I would be more interested in the 11x7” myself. The lighter the better.
  11. Walt, I hope you bring the Axiom to the next meeting!
  12. I assume that goes for the 24K also. I’ve been cleaning out a few detectors with hopes of purchasing the Axiom.
  13. Now that have used it a lot, will you still use your Equinox for nugget hunting?
  14. I haven't seen the 2d screen separation of a small nugget with a square nail, screw, or iron object. They're in close in detection range, but can the Manticore separate them on the screen? This hasn't been shown by the reps, that I have seen.
  15. This is a prospector forum. The Equinox has been shown to outdo the Deus 2 on small gold. XP could update the gold program to be more sensitive on small gold, I'm sure. But that could possibly push the ORX sales aside, therefore an update probably won't happen!
  16. All that I saw was the CTX 3030 with a free coil.
  17. I agree. I would rather have top quality construction and make less profit. If they saved on $3 each machine multiplied by 5 million detectors out the door, adds up to big profits.
  18. When paying that kind of money, why should anyone have to "Gerry rig" or modify anything? These manufacturers should concentrate on quality instead of quick production. Hopefully this is why Minelab has waited this long.
  19. Not exactly. From what I have seen, e.g., foil for instance will show non-fe but it will be a scattered unstable figure on the screen, on the other hand a coin in the same quadrants will be more uniform, stable, straighter, and narrower in shape. I think it is a great visualization. If it had better gold sensitivity, I would forget about the Manticore. The other thing is some people claim they are playing too much "Deus 2" (programming) than actual detecting. I'm not sure if you can set the programs and they remain, or if you have to go through all the steps to get what you want every time you turn it on?
  20. It looks like a man, has the strength of a lion, and stings like a scorpion.
  21. The thing that I like on the Deus 2 is the x-y axis and waterproof depth. Is it that bad on gold nuggets?
