Thanks ken
this is a different machine to me if I buy it, I appreciate the info on these coils.
if I do I will maybe con steve into a crash coarse on tdi, s this spring.
-
Hi steve,
just thinking the tdi may go a little deeper than my gb 2, just wanting to go deeper and cover the square ft.
the coil that comes with it is 8in. I believe. Would the 12in. Coil help tdi much for depth here?
I would buy a bigger coil for this if it was worth the extra depth. The price is $1000 what do you think?
Love to get a mxt sometime , maybe someone would part with one they didnt like anymore but that sounds doubtful from the reviews. Yes that would be great if you came down and give me any pointers,
I love crash courses. Just talking to steve today need to make plans to go down soon, im getting antsy.
lm guessing book should be here tomorrow.
-
Hi steve
looking at a used tdi pro , do you think the 12 in.coil would be good for the ground at winn.that
we have to cover the acres? There is a smaller coil comes with it. Just want to cover square ft.
the ground here should let this unit work pretty well dont you think?

Thanks I have a dremmel , probobly have to be pretty careful I would guess, I have just the
piece to experiment with. Might have to invest in some good quality bits to be precise lm guessing.
Thanks chris.
El dorado havent tried the truck ride yet, gonna try it when we get back offroad bellydumping
when the ground thaws, lots of vibrating bet it will clean gold right up.
-
That is one cool piece of equipment, I cant imagine back in the day
beat the heck out of shoveling!
-
Hey el dorado,
figured it out I will put the gold in the jar with salt , vinegar and put it on the floor of
my peterbilt for a couple 12 hr. Shifts, ultrasonic vibes here guaranteed!

Would like to hear some methods you guys may be using forgetting that bright luster.
some of my rock I have to use h.f.acid to remove rock, sometimes not always the gold
seems to have gotten dulled by this h.f.and its harder to get luster back. I have tried vinegar and salt seems to help some, is there something better maybe? I haven't tried the fabric cleaning tool, l heard that works well some of the specimen pieces are pretty delicate, don't know if gun pressure is to much for these maybe. Any advice is much appreciated thanks. Rick. -
Steve,
I see you posted at 1:30 am. No wonder you never answered me on phone this pm.

A good rockcrusher remember? Glad to see you are still kickin, ground gonna thaw
before we know it are you ready? (Sorry about greenbay ) not really!!

I really like this idea as far as the screens i can get a large variation in sizes of them anytime, truck airfilters have 2sizes of screen in them (round filters) I have a trucking co.and we go through a lot of them just throw them in a fire and they come out cleanready to cut to any dimension. I have used them for a lot of screening projects they are very durable, they act like they are stainless steel and the
Fire doesnt bother them at all. Go to any trucking co shop they would be glad togive them away im sure of that good burning barrel lids, also. Gonna build one of these for sure a guy already gave me an old mixer to start this project. Thanks jack for the great idea, my heads already spinnin!
-
Thanks jeepster. Is there a start point on angle of dry w., or does it change with the material you are running, seems like when ground changes you play with angle of box to flow niceley again. That dry mixer could save a lot of time it looks like, what a cool looking tool.
where did you get it? Rick -
Dry mixer sounds Interesting jack let me know if you can get something to happen there.
thanks rick. -
No I never received any cd.or information on gold staiiion when we bought it 2 years ago. Trial and error method tells it all if you have been checking behind yourself frequently. I think were getting it down pretty good now. We can recover very very small gold by runnlng rpm low it still shakes the box good and the airpump is still delivering big volume. I will check the book out for sure though maybe get cd also. The test holes I dug ln winn. Above where you found your first nev. Nugget turned out looking pretty good using dry washer I ran 525 gallons of material from 3 holes and got around 5 gr. Not counting the nugget you seen that came out of one of these holes. Not a bad trip I guess still had 11 plus gr.all together.
-
Thanks dusty. We wondered how much degree we could get away with on riffles instructions didn't really say much, experimented alittle though with engine rpm found off idle recovered better with small gold. I will play with the slope a little more thanks
-
Thanks reno chris for the comeback, I did wonder about running dry if it would slough over and out , I thought it may so thats how ive been running it. Thanks .
-
I really likke it , it will work as hard as you want to work it yesterday I ran 160 gallons of classified half in.
Less than an hour at part throttle. It is very good on fuel consumption also . It is pretty big capacity will do a big pile of dirt and rock at the end of the day I was just curious if anyone had ideas on drywashing thanks jack.

I have a goldbuddy stallion that I use in ore.nev. deserts wouldlike to know if anyone has this d.w.? If so do you have any suggestions that may help in recovery? I have learned a few things that work for me but looking for more ideas that may help.
