Here is the gold from trip in may to winnemucca, got it cleaned up a bit. Biggest piece was 2.4 gr.This was all found with GB 2. The small stuff in the pan came from 150 gallons of rock that had been sized and detected already. I ran this rock in cement mixer and this is what came from the concentrate. There were a lot more clay balls in this rock than I thought, water and gravity sure helps sometimes.

Hey guys this looks like its going to be a contest now, who can find the smallest gold this season!, I have never weighed the smallest ones like these seperatly,I will be this year, with gold at $1313 today these are well worth their weight. Hi guys, much testing been done with the more porous gold yet with 2300? And can you run all day on the c batteries? Looks pretty sweet in the right conditions. Testing the 2300 against the 5000 for depth would be nice to see these results also. Rick W.

These were found this trip with GB 2, biggest piece was down approximately 6 in. Hit pretty strong. the rest of them were less than that. Did a lot of pic and shovel work here to find these. Brother inlaw found a few here also. It was a good few days in the desert. Rick

Thanks for refreshing the picture steve, was some of the gold at moore creek covered as heavily as this nevada gold, man it took quite awhile to clean up. I used dilluted HF.maybe10% so I could monitor the progress.

I cant get a good enough pic of octahedral to post, will try latter with wifes help maybe. I did get pictures of gold I found in feb, got it cleaned up. TDI RESULTS from February.

Heres pictures of February finds at winnemucca, got them cleaned up , left some of the calcite on them. still not great pics , not a photographer by any means.

Hi guys, got a question with octahedral gold, I have been trying to get a clear picture of how this is formed. Can someone explain how this is formed, I have looked this up but cant get a clear picture of makeup. I realized recently that I have found a octohedral piece of gold from a recent hunt, pretty small but nice. it is around 1/16 of an inch. Anyone with info on this I would appreciate it. Thanks Rick

Try my wife doing it maybe, shes got a good camera, and some good light. I need to show the flat vein gold that I posted awile back that I found in feb. I have it showing the gold now after using oxalic heated in crock pot.

I think I can do something with these just not sure which way to go, tthere is quite a bit of gold in these. sorry about the screw up on the pictures im not very good with this stuff, still learning.

Ok, since your comparing ugly nuggets here is a pic. Of amethest and quartz in between is quite a bit of gold im not sure what to do with these, I dont want to break it up, should I try to slice it where I think the most gold is at or weigh it and leave them alone? Could make them uglier yet I think.
